"I Find No Comfort in Knowing - - - "

It was yesterday morning at breakfast that I got the premonition that President Obama would not survive his second term in office and that he would in fact be assonated.  And frankly there are certain “premonitions” I have that in fact come to pass.  So President Obama won’t have to worry about what function he’ll have in the nation in his ultra long period of his post presidency.  Some may argue “Well it’s possible that the tea party people are just waiting for the secret service agents to be scaled back after he’s left office”.  The only thing is That doesn’t happen.  The security around an ex president is just as tight as with a sitting president.  So there is no gain in waiting it out.  No President has had the utter contempt heaped upon him unjustly as this President has.  And I can assure you it isn’t going away.  It’s not going to “spend itself in time” or “die down on its own”.  These things don’t work that way.  These people are obsessive.  They can’t stop thinking about what an “outrage” it is to have a Black president.  They won’t let it go any more than they’ll let the Zimmerman thing go.  Picture the absurdity of someone like Zimmerman being a poster child for ANY political cause at ANY time other than in a post Summer 2008 world.   When you tell me “I isn’t likely”, I will say even more imphatically “It CAN’T do anything BUT happen”.  They have almost predicted it themselves.  They have been panting away like a dog just waiting for that moment when Blacks riot and Anarchy breaks out and society as we know it breaks down completely.  It’s want they want because they take their political play book from Charles Manson- - whose “family” murders we celebrate the anniversary of this weekend.   It was a sad day when that sick feeling descended on me that the reason why they did NOT want me “using politics in my book” is not because it’s polarizing per se - - but that it was “premature’ kind of like the Nazi party.  It’s a case with Chuck Smith and Hal Lindsey and the whole crowd that “The plan” needs “the right climate” to bring it about- and this is what they mean when they say “in God’s time”.  I – as one believing that God is an utterly Amoral Being- - take no comfort at all with the assurance that “Everything is in God’s hands”.

Woman number fourteen has come forward in the Bob Felner case.  These women come foreward now because they feel empowered with media support, in a way they didn’t before when it was just then against a powerful politician- who could ruin YOUR carrier.  I turned on Bill Press just after five.  They all think President Obama is being silly subbing Putin in the planned Summit.  And the way the President puts it, it IS silly because he says “Actually me and Vladimir Putin get along great-  - when we’re alone”.  (I’ll get them a room)  I mean is this so called “outrage” and “offense” at recent stuff all just a big P R “Act”.  If I were a tea bagger I must might suspect this.  And now all of those eighteen embassies will reopen after just one week, when they were scheduled to be closed for the entire month of August.  And then we have the whole bit about an “imminent attack”, which isn’t occurring and WONT occur, and the whole thing was just “Crying wolf”, just like we’ve heard from the government a hundred times before.  There were your usual fire and flood stories on the National news last night.

The Republicans are a totally messed up bunch without any help from outsiders.  I was just watching a pod cast of the Chris Matthews show for Thursday and Friday.  Mitch Mc Conell's own campaign chief told a Rand Paul supporter that he's "holding his nose right now working for Mc Conell but will support Rand Paul in 2016".   Then there is the idea that liberal reporters from NBC and CNN "made out candidates look bad" in the tea party debates.  But in reality it was their Own Responses to questions from the audience or from FOX news even, that made them look like first rate baffoons and fools.  In terms of this freeze-out of more liberal media in future Republican debates - - former chairman Michael Steel said "Ive had impulses to do the same thing- - but I'd be a whole lot smarter about it.  Because the timing is all together premature".   This was on Thursday's show.  But for Friday's show they talked about how so many Southern States rushed to amend their voting rights laws to exclude minorities.  Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, North Carolina, and parts of Florida all rushed to enact new laws.  This is though in some cases no less than seventeen proposed changes to the Voting laws of states- - were rejected because they violated the national Voting Rights law, which now is no longer around.   Relations are so testy between John Boehner and President Obama that Boehner even refused to pose with the President in a Christmas party photo.  The President made a lot of points about the Affordable Care Act that did not make the evening news yesterday.  For one thing the Republicans have STOPPED saying that "yes health care reform is important, but we could come up with a much better plan if you'd let us".  So the President has challenged them saying "If you can come up with a better plan, then lay it out; put it on the table".  He reminded us that since it has the force of law that "shutting down the government" won't nulify the law.  One Republican in the Senate is against going along with the tea party agenda of shutting down the government drawing a 60 on the blackboard, then reminding an irate questioner leading a howling right wing mob, that "It takes sixty votes in the Senate to enact our proposal into law- - and I doubt if we've got twelve".  What's truely scarey these days is that it's "The people" themselves as much or even more than the politicians that are still fanatical Right Wing.  No wonder poll readers take heart.  42% of the American people actively think Obama Care is a BAD idea, whereas only 34% of Americans favor the Affordable Care Act.  But as bad as that is- - even the people on Chris Matthew's show were almost like advocates for CNN or worse yet FOX news because they were saying that "This President was really defiant with the Republicans in the news conference today.  I wonder if he's going to dare try and take this Defiant attitude on the road".  The concencus seemed to me to be saying "The health care act is a real loser politically- and if the President isn't really careful about how he handles this- - 2014 could be a repeat of 2010".  At least that's what I took out of the CM show remarks.  The people on this show has become nattering nabobs of negativism, when it comes to evaluating the President's future prospects.

I was thinking last night- - of a memo from Commander Data from Star Trek about how “illogical” Christianity is on a very elemental level.  St Paul teach us to “advance away from fundamental things” but I respectfully disagree.  If the foundation is not sound, then nothing that you would choose to build on it – is sound.  The political Right likes to take comfort in certain buzz words like a nice warm security blanket on a cold night.  So they speak of “Western values” and how we are a “Christian nation” and love to speak of “White pride”.  Others have already discredited the word “White” as NOT a denoter of any actual “ethnicity” so we’ll move on.  In terms of “Western” values- - I’m sure they aren’t referring to Karl Marx, or Hagel, or Nietche, or Freud, or Thomas Payne for that matter.  I even have grave doubts whether they are even referring to Greek or Roman “higher thinkers” as they are referred to.  So “Western” is another of those buzz-words that actually doesn’t denote Anything- - except of course that it is “Not Islamic” or Hindu or Buddhist or Taoist of Confucian.  It’s another of those NOT words.  This should be no surprise to anybody whose read popular Theology books sold in Christian book stores who are replete with the “God is Not - - - “ expressions.  In other words they are sending a not very subtle message to you of “Whatever you THINK God is- - He isn't - - so you better read this book!”    So now we come to the C word.  Nobody of either sex much fancies being beaten to death with the C word, as in Christ.   Mr Data might say “It is not logical that one should receive an Everlasting Reward for any Temporal Action”.   Think about that one.  It’s not logical, is it?  Yeah I know, nobody told you this stuff before.  And if Mr Data reads a good sampling of these Calvinist based theology books on the utter Gulf between Man’s nature and God’s nature and how man can never claim that he somehow has a “Divine spark” within him, or whatever.  The Bible puts it bluntly.  “My ways are not Your ways”.   And then we have our good friend Neil from KFI saying that Jesus from the cradle - - had complete knowledge of all the Universe at his finger tips.  So he was like Baby Stewie thinking all of these lofty thoughts to himself- with or without the British accent.  As you know Ron Hubbard in an effort to prove he’d evolved (or something) beyond mortal limitation said of his own body “I have displaced its hip and I have also wrenched its back - - “.   Whatever Jesus did when he was on earth - - he wasn’t what he seemed if we believe these Christian books.  Whatever body he had was not truly His body but just one he was borrowing or using- - as one would a costume in a play.  So when he seemed to die on the cross he “allowed it to be killed” but in terms of his own soul he was risking nothing and sacrificed nothing, any more than someone Playing the part of Wild Bill Hickok at a Poker game in a play- - was ever in any in danger.  (Not unless the Holideck of the Enterprise was malfunctioning)   And there is something about counterfeiting - - that I said in my book in different words that “If people can get away with giving you the fake in exchange for the real thing, they’ll do it”.   However- - - in the Gospels - - which these people also claim to reverence- - it is stated that Love is the highest virtue.  You can’t fake that.  But clearly – “Love” is a word – previously over-used to the point of irreverence- - how none of these people will touch the L word at all.  “Love” has all of a sudden “been taken out of the buzzword rotation.

If you check Justin's "apology to the Greeks" for the word "resurrection" it is always in reference to a General Resurrection at the End of Days.  I don't find the term used with reference to what happened with Jesus on Easter morning.  Also one must note the possability that the words "form" and "appearence" are much more closely linked than they are in English.  I heard one Theologian cite this connection.  For instance the use of "there is an appearence of" may mean the same thing as "there is a Form of - - ".    So in Paul's letter to the Corinthians he cites the "appearences" of Christ.  He did not say Jesus survived physical Death.  He did not say that Jesus walked on the earth after his resurrection.  He just cited the various deciples that he "appeared" to.    Could not "there was an appearence of Christ" thus mean the same thing as "there was a Form of Christ"?  Think about it.  If you are physically Alive- - you don't have to "appear" in order to be seen.  You are There all the time.  (Selah)  There is an underlying them in both Justin and Paul's writings of Easter being a "spiritual" thing.

The file just concluded was called “gaining”.  This file should be called losing.  Never in just one day has my outlook on things taken such a sharp drop within hours.  Last night I was in a good mood.  I caught the new crescent moon - - thinking “in some cultures, it would be a new month”.  The Raiders played the Cowboys in Oakland and were leading by two points 19 to 17 but then drowsiness got the better of me and I decided to call it a night and find out who won in the morning.  Last night was one of those dreams where “I needed to get a drink”.  I was planning on buying this fancy bottle of white wine like Chablis or something- - that was in a really fancy bottle and “this bottle might be worth saving” but it had a false bottom and actually held less than it appeared to, but it was less than five dollars and I only had about eight bucks to my name.  In these dreams where I’m buying alcohol I often think “I think I’ve been doing better on my alcohol consumption lately.  I need to reward myself”.  But when you wake usually all those feelings of “needing a drink” go away.  This morning it didn’t.  I still felt as though I could use at least a beer or something.  I felt agitated and tired at the same time- - like I used to be when alcohol was a problem.  My brain was hyper but my body was tired- - but I couldn’t turn off my brain.  I had woken just before four and I tried hard to get back to sleep and thought I would eventually.  But I got up at twenty to five and decided it was for real.  Out smoking a cigarette I resolved “today is the day I’m playing the Pretenders II album”.    I’d had this strange premonition that the day I played that one it would be a jinxy day and- - every other CD on the top shelf had been played after that one.  I said “That’s rediculas”.  And to “prove” I was being silly I checked in the CD drawer to confirm everything was fine.  Everything was not fine.  That fifties rare remake of “Sgt Peppers” had been stolen and just about every other album had been rearranged or turned around- - so I had to spend time getting the drawer back to the way it was.  There have been times when Bill has left the door wide open when were both at Janet’s.  But of course everyone on the patio suspected you know who of doing it because she had a long reputation for stealing things and almost got fired over it at least once.  I went to the office and mentioned it to Federico and he said “She won’t be here till Monday but I’ll mention it to her then”.  Of course Paul might have his own copy of the CD we were both given as gifts in 2000 but that won’t solve the problem.  Just like a couple of Sundays ago when the CD’s in the drawer were rearranged but nothing was stolen then- - this was only a harvenger of things to come.  In other downer news- - this psoriasus on my arm is getting worse because it’s migrating around to the under-side of my wrist.  And the pump thing on the hand sanitizer I was given- - doesn’t function.  It’s only a prop.  I took it apart and everything.  Of course coffee is dubious- - that I’ll get any at all for the whole rest of the month.  And of course the coffee maker needs to be run through with vinegar to save it- -or else it won’t function at all.   Of course if you want to think of stuff- - anyone around here is most likely disadvantaged because their DMV license has expired and they don’t want to fork out money for a new one, assuming their driving skills haven’t deteroriated due to the medication.  When I’m walking down the stairs holding things with each hand- - I feel like of funny- - like weak in the knees like I could fall.  And of course this place is about as physically far from any bus stop as it’s possible to get in Orange County.
