Virginia Elects Democratic Governor

Former Clinton aid Terry Mc Auliffe was elected Democratic Governor of Virginia in what turned out to be a squeaker of a race.  With 65% of the vote in Kuchinelli "The Gooch" as Arnold would say - - was still ahead by three points.  "The Gouch" proffited from the rising tide of anti Obama health care sentament.  Ken Kuchenelli was the champion of the vaginal probe as Attorney General, and had quite a palette of whacko political beliefs, and had he won, it would have bode ill for the political climate in America for the 2016 election, because it would mean that yet one more political whacko was let loose from his padded cell to run in that joke of a Republican Debate in late 2015.  But fortunately that didn't happen.  There were at least two sites that broke the state of Virginia down county by county and there was a disturbing majority of red counties in the state.  Apparently a democratic liutennant governor was elected in Virginia but the AG will be another Republican, but fortunately it's no longer Kuchenelli.  In other news New York elected a democratic Mayor for the first time since 1989 that an overtly Democratic mayor will be heading New York.  Some tea bagger in Alabama was defeated.  I guess Detroit elected its first White mayor in a long time.  (I know, "White" isn't a race)   Of course Governor Christie was reelected in New Jersey but like Arnold in California he wasted taxpayer's money by holding a special, unplanned election to try and gain political advantage.  Those plans blew up in Swartzenegger's face in the fall of 2005 and Christie was afraid he'd lose if he ran on the same ballot with a probably victorious democratic senate candidate because all of the Democratic voters, would show up, who otherwise might not, which is what Christie was counting on yesterday.

New Jersey has one of the highest per capita incomes in the country with only a few New England states such as Massachusetts are higher.  There were numerous other issues people voted on yesterday.  New Jersey voted on whether to raise their minimum wage.  In Colorado they voted on whether to tax the marijuana that they just made legal.  And eleven counties in Colorado voted whether or not to secede from the rest of the state and call themselves Northern Colorado.  But the fate of these eleven counties ill not be determined by just their little vote.  Not only the entire state of Colorado, but also the congress of the United States would have to vote on whether Colorado would be divided.  There are a few western counties in Maryland who no longer want to be part of the rest of that state.  In Washington they voted on whether the people of that good state should have the right to be informed that their food has been genetically modified, otherwise known as GMO, which is like an HMO only even less healthy for you.  We did not have an election here in California.  Personally I think the decisive contests for the Democratic Party will be next year if we can get rid of Scott Walker in Wisconsin - - and get rid of that joke a governor in Florida, with his medical insurance fraud background.

Dan Rather will not be included in the CBS fifty year anniversary special on the assassination of President Kennedy.  CBS knows how to hold a grudge even when it's self defeating.  Dan Rather was in the forefront of Assassination coverage back when it happened.  But because he was "set up" with that phony Bush document, that was obviously a decoy plant by Republicans- - so even though the basic Story on George Bush's background was true- - Rather was yanked off the air JUST before the election of 2004 on the basis of one bogus document.  And the strange thing is that Rather hasn't been hired back even when it did become obvious that the story Rather presented was essentially true.  Of course- - these days and for the past fifteen years or more- - the media has desperately been trying to debunk any theory on the Assassination that doesn't conform to the Official Version, the Warren Report put out in late 1964 just before the election against Barry Goldwater.  The media thinks we are stupid or something.

They have been talking about black lung disease among coal miners of West Virginia and eastern Kentucky.  It seems you have to be dead before they'll admit you had advanced black lung disease.  There was this quack doctor that the mining company sent all of its employees to who complained of Black lung disease and out of two hundred people- - maybe much higher- - not a single patient sent to this one doctor- - were said to have Black Lung disease and therefore ellagable for some disability coverage.  Of course Governor Christie is no moderate even though the media and even Tim Russart had been duped into playing it that way.  Christie is solid right on all of those "right wing social issues" such as gay marriage- - and Christie is also profoundly anti school teacher and anti government worker collective bargaining power.  Of course as you know we are in the grip of the far right in so many ways such as NOT being able to know whether our food has been genetically modified.  The FDA has been stripped of power to regulate our food in this area.  Also due to international trade treaties the FDA has been stripped of other sovreign powers by international agreement.  So yes. I am a Conservative in that I too would "like to take our country back" and free of these secret deals.

I’m not really buying into this line of Ebony K and Tuwalla that if you use the N word or if you’re black and wear a Confederate flag that you are reliving all the horror of racism from decades and centuries past.  The whole point is to disempower symbols of hate.  I think these two are totally absent the concept of it’s not the symbol itself but the power behind the symbol that is the threat.  And there are some Larry Elder types out there who will play on some guilt trip saying “White people died so that black people would no longer be enslaved so you OWE us” or something along those lines.  The milenials or whoever want to get “out from under” and removed from all of that.  Why do Christians hate the idea of people they don’t consider “worthy” wearing crosses, because they are “disrespecting’ and disempowering THEIR symbol of repression of others and dominance over them, including Atheist.  As John Lennon said long ago “Better free your mind instead”.  It really comes back to this right wing notion of the “Good nigger’ and he “bad nigger”.  Tuwallah and Ebony K want us all to be “good niggers” living forever in the shadow of the past.  Sure watching movies about slavery can be informative, but NOT if it’s done in a context of “Look where you used to be.  You’re so lucky now so don’t you DARE ask for anything in the present day or EVER think for a minute that you really do have the status and power of White people.  That’s just my who take I wanted to get off my chest.

I am against some national bill forbidding the firing of gay employees.  And I’ll tell you why.  It not only covers gays but trans-gender.  Also you can be fired for ANY REASON now, and there are a whole lot more worthy reasons NOT to be fired than being gay.  They can fire you because you smoke not even on work time but on your own time.  They can fire you if you exercise freedom of speech and speak out against some ethical violation of your business.  You can be fired on violating dress codes or “showing a bad attitude”.   But national laws on the subject of private business decisions should be used sparingly and only for the most dire things.  You could get into endless arguments over whether this or that person was fired because he was gay or merely being “effinite’ or what have you.  Government is involved in enough stuff now.

I just wanted to continue with some commentary about this notion that some people are sop Neurotic- - that they INSURE the very problem they are so trying to AVOID.  Sometimes the most prudent action is NO ACTION.  It's like you don't dredge the Bayou in Louisiana because all of that sediment and such is Protection against the very Hurricane they experianced, once all of that natural sediment was removed.  It's like that Fucashima plant.  There was a Natural - - Sea Wall- - and the LOGICAL thing to do in that case is to LEAVE IT THERE as a protection against the very tidal waves that wiped out this Nuclear plant.  And in soap land - - sometimes just resisting the temptation to continue to obsessively dink around with something - - is the wisest choice because you only DRAW ATTENTION to yourself- - the more you play with something.  (Selah)  It was nigh on to three weeks ago that it was announced "Christine and Brady would be wedded in two days" and it still hasn't happen, and may not even happen this week.  It depends on how many other last minute events they want to throw in.  They have already thrown in a drug overdose,  and a PI campaign against Raphael's therapist, and Gabrial's possible modeling carrier,  and Will's trip to Berkley,  and they probably aren't done.  Yesterday they did not even continue where they left off on Monday with Marlena and Victor getting ready to play that incrimidating flash drive against Christine.  They spent a whole day on this other "filler material" that's strictly stalling for time.  Now Christine is planning to drug the Priests that's scheduled to marry the couple later in the afternoon.  Rather than prevent a problem from occurring- - Christine is taking this action to insure that the Priest is unable to marry them because he's drugged.  On what planet is that sound reasoning?

This is Tuesday November 5, 2013 so happy Guy Fauks Day.  Last night we had Polish sausage and scalloped potatoes without the sauce (déjà vu alert) and sauerkraut and two oatmeal cookies for desert.   I told Teresa I liked sauerkraut so I took hers.  “Bones” was too much like a soap opera what with baby sitting Christine, who is now a full fledged toddler.  “Sleepy Hallow’ was on at nine but I didn’t watch that long, and perhaps I should have.  I was out of the building a lot talking on the patio.  I told you Judy offered me that comforter but then said she had no idea when she or Paul would be able to make it over here.  In the morning I did more with filters in Excel and learned a valuable lesson.  When you’re working with random numbers and you never look at the formula bar, you’ll think the program has been invaded by a virus when everything is working fine. I confirmed that you can have a practical AND function.  This means that you can combine disperate values in two different fields in a consecutive filtering process.

Our Out Of Control Government

Sixty Minutes had the thing on Guantanamo Bay and the 168 prisoners held without charges there.  But some seem to have air conditioned calls.  How do they rate that?  But there will be five defendants being charged as organizing the 911 attacks.  But all five have been waterboarded and otherwise tortured to extract information.  Then they come to the FBI of their own free will and offer up information to these people.  But one has to wonder, perhaps they are doing it so they WON”T be tortured any further.   Of course there were all the “Black Site’ operations and renditions- - and these five prisoners may have been tortured secretly in remote locations around the world.  I’m not making some “political statement” and I don’t know how Rush covered this event this morning.  I’m just saying this was the summary that Sixty Minutes offered us.  The trial is coming up very soon and I don’t see why they don’t try these five and be done with it, and try all the other 163 men too on the charges that are appropriate to their case and wipe the slate clean, so that nobody is being denied their due process of law.  But for some reason we don’t work that way in this country.  Things go on in secret all the time the knowledge of which often never sees the light of day.  Now we are told that the President of the United States “didn’t know’ about all the spying on all of our European allies that was going on, that was apparently begun under Bush.  But apparently someone “made the decision” to keep it going and I’d like to know who that “someone’ is.  According to Ebony K, “someone made the decision” not to get the input of Young People, to poll them about how they feel about doubling or tripling their insurance rates.  Why should each and every policy carry coverage for things such as drug rehab and breast pumps, prenatal care, mental health coverage or things like esoteric drugs old people take?  When you think about it in those strict terms it doesn’t make sense and even Ebony K says that “maybe something was rushed through without the proper vetting process for its political and social impact”.   So we have spying, and we have torture, and we have secret wars, and secret weapons sales, and secret surveillance of citizens both in the United States and allies all over the globe.  We have a President who at least used to talk about Peace while all the while increasing drone strikes around the world.   It would sure be nice if we had just one candidate running for any political office that “couldn’t be bought” and didn’t CARE what Wall Street “thought of him” when it comes to enforcing trade and banking laws.  Like I say, President Obama is the best friend in the White House, that Wall Street ever had.  But we are also told- - no matter the absurdity “Never even think of forming a third party”.   At some point either the Left or the Right is going to “do it’ anyhow and form a third party.  Once one side does it, the other side will feel and know that it’s Safe to also form a Third Party.  I guess it’s kind of the ultimate lab experiment in a psychology class of “which side will crack first”.  What absurdity upon absurdity will we progressives tolerate in the name of “electability”?  If sixty percent of Americans see a need for a Thirt Party, you’d think one would show up on the scene, sooner rather than later.  Progressives have gotten almost nothing from President Obama in the past five years- - if you don’t count gay marriage.  But in the general umbrella of progressive issues- - there has been almost no progress, for example, in Wall Street reregulation.  It doesn’t help our side if the President never even ASKS for half of the things we seek.  So far the President hasn’t officially approved the Canadian pipeline, but I see no indication he won’t.

I wanted to do a whole treaties about how a problem can start off small and grow like some kind of horrible malignancy.  I guess I’ll just edit out portions of it for blogging purposes and leave the rest.  It’s like the perverbial stain on the shag white carpet.  You have one blank ink spot- - and the more you attempt to erridicate it you only spread it around so it gets bigger and bigger.  This idea now is - - kind of like that “disturbance in the time fabric of the universe- - that starts off small and in this case gets bigger with Time, but in that case this ‘stain” or “blemish” in the Universe was getting larger as time “passed”.  And if you went back far enough into the - - future - - to “before” the thing started you look and see only stars, as things should be.    Let’s say the DEVIL wants to create “a problem” with me- - not YOU or at least “Not You - - Yet”, but don’t think you’ll get off that easy.  Let’s say the Devil wants to create a problem with me and Christianity.  The first thing he need do is create just random thoughts in my Mind that I share with no one- - or virtually nobody.  They are things like paperatzi that kind of  -zzz-z-zzzz-zz are here one minute and gone the next.    If that doesn’t work then he’ll enter a whole Person and make that Person the object of my Problem, such as Paul.  I do fine as long as I can keep away from that one person, Paul.  When Paul becomes in Satan’s esteemed opinion “incapable of oppressing me sufficiently” then Satan will add others into the mix such as Mark Bove and people tightly associated with him.   Then this gets broadened out a bit like in July of 1985 to include- - well what I faced at the Bosc house now was a whole other depth of "problem" with two out of three housemates, notibly Frank and Henry, neither one of which I had ever "approved' as roommates - - and then in September of 1985 to others such as screwy Louie that Bible Study teacher and his minions who follow him.   But supposed somehow I manage to get away from all that.  Then you have Christian Churches in general and people on the radio and TV media.  So far they aren’t impacted, but they’ll be next.  Then around 2004 you take the next slight step of- - not only can’t you trust ANY pastors and the whole idea of “church” is nauseating.  Now the Devil has gone on the Radio preaching - - just Bad Doctrine by Any standard in the person of Neil Savedra.  What the Devil has been unable to accomplish in two thousand years, Neil succeeds at because- - now the very person of Jesus Christ himself has been provided an Avatar that you can Hate.  You can think of Jesus Christ personally as “What a jackass” for instance.   Then finally we move on into politics and the Tea Party as we know it actually saw its first “budding” - - those first green shoots- - in the person of Sarah Palin at the end of August of 2008.  From then on the very processes of government has a mouthpiece for the dingbat Right Wing.  From then on it wasn’t a matter of going to a church or listening to the radio, but rather the whole apperatus of government is now enlisted in that Christian cause, and that carpet stain has grown mighty indeed.  What we have NOT seen - - Yet- - is the spread of this malignancy to the population of the entire World in some systematic way.  The rest of the civilized World population STILL thinks we are all nuts in the United States. 

 
So was "Q" right.  Was it really "Me" all along?  That would be terribly egocentric.  I'm just telling you My Story, My View of what Happened.  Jesus himself talked about "fruits" and sometimes there is a waiting process involved to see how these herbs will eventually grow and ripen.  What was utterly unthinkable at one point- -may be standard practice at a later date, such as threatened government shutdowns, and fillibustering virtually everything.  We progressives can take some stock that perhaps tomorrow's Elections will provide some Clue of where things are headed like in New Jersey and Virginia.  That would be funny if Governor Christie were voted out of office.  That would provide a dfinitive "Answer" to those, or perhaps Christie himself, as to whether he should or should not run for President in 2016.  Apparently the Romney team found a lot of political skeletons rattling around in his closet- - that made them cross him off their VP list.  But now of course Romney is protective of him.  Romney wants a candidate running who is "Electable" and yet can be somehow "brought around" to accepting the Tea Party platform on issues and running on them.

Astrological indicators don't bode well at all for President Obama in the next year, if you re wondering why I have turned so negative on him all of a sudden.  I said that he could still be Assasinated by the ever growing of nuts out there- and we just experianced another one of these at LA International Airport last Friday.   It's not alltogether inconceivable that President Obama may resign from office.  He may do this because even HE sees that the office is a mockery and that Others make all of the Key Decisions anyhow.  Perhaps President Obama too is tiring of defending the undefendable.  Can anybody even remember what issues got President Obama elected in 2008 because I sure can't!  I voted for him but I don't know why.  With so many good Democrats out there why did we pick this Junior Senator from Illinois- - who had such a thin political resume?  Why not Dick Durbin or Dianne Feinstein, or Andrew Cuomo or even laughing boy in the photo - Joe Byden in the top slot?  Clearly President Obama THINKS he knows how to deliver a good speech, but making the speech is only the start.  What do you do after that?  Political leaders need force behind his words.  We may not like John Boehner but he's a man with Power and knows how to Use it.  So we listen to him.  What he says is Important.  What Barock Obama says is NOT important because - - the only news worthy thing the media reports is that "The President is trying to shore up his disasterous image right now".

Paying Respects to the Misbegotten

This morning I got up around five thirty and listened to that whacko guy on KFI till six.  Clearly he’s not strictly tea party because he was talking about this whole selling of munitions thing we have going trying to play “both sides against each other’ stirring up conflicts and shipping arms to both sides for profit.   There was that program “Burn Notice” last night where this guy had a lot of whitty wisdom.  He said “Sometimes in order to take a fanatic down, you have to become as it were, his “prized student” and learn from HIM- - what will make HIM go down.  (Selah)  Sometimes long time relations can be ended by “some tragic misunderstanding” but at other times the ‘misunderstanding’ itself can be “engineered” by one of the parties as it were to “look like a hap hazard event” when it’s really anything but.  I can’t help but think of Pastor Bill Halliday with this.  How often have I said to myself after contact with him that went really badly “Well, it must just be some horrible misunderstanding”.   If you are criminal with no scruples you have the ‘edge” on your competition because you can be strictly “goal driven” with no hesitations or moral doubts to get in your way.  It could be the US Military policy is like this with foreign governments.  He spoke of Iran-Contra, which was a classic case of playing both sides against each other.  Of course Oliver North was there in his fancy uniform before congress like some kind of a God damned hero, when he was anything but.   There was one guest on Meet the Press that talked about- - minimum federal sentences for drug offences, so that you can get ten years for mere possession of a few grams of cocaine.  This guy has been among these prisoners and seen that hey have “no lives to go back to “even if they were to get out.  They aren’t “rehabilitated” and really need more “life skills” instead of prison serving as an apprenticeship for becoming a more hardened criminal.  It’s an old argument and one that gets routinely rejected because no congressman wants to be labeled as “Soft on Crime”.   I guess what the people are to assume is the “Bed Seed” theory where once you spot one of these bad seeds in society it’s best to pluck it out right them- - before it can contaminate all the good seed.  We have five percent of the world’s population yet 25% of all the world’s prisoners.  We have the highest per capita imprisonment rate in the world.   What’s wrong with this picture?

You had one of these “Juicer” things on TV.  Only lately has it dawned on me that there is a fundamental difference between a Juicer and just a Blender.  This one features a low inductance motor- - for you V = IR fans out there - - magnetic inductance is basically how a motor works, so this Juicer gets More done with Less power.  And it extracts a whole lot more juice from the fruits and vegetables than a blender.  Of course you don’t want “cooked’ apple juice, or any other juice.  Melinda Lee herself is down on “clarified butter” because it has neither the flavor nor the nntrients of regular butter.  And ditto for juices.  Personally I keep resolving I’m going to start drinking V 8 for its red, orange, and green carrotenoids- - and in particular the nutriend Aztezanten.  But I don’t follow through.  He used the fish tank illustration to demonstrate how you need to “clean the water in your system” to get rid of all that schmootz.   Never eat anything died bright orange- - or anything that’s air puffed or with the consistency of a sponge- - or with a shelf life of six months or longer.  Personally I don’t consume those flavored potato chips, just the plain.  I wonder what sort of chemicals you are ingesting with all of that artificial flavoring.  Some people scarf down whole big bags of whatever, but I don’t because at least I’m a little aware of sodium content.   Probably bottled water would be a good idea, too.  But I think refined wheat is better for me personally.  Cane sugar is better than corn sugar.

I didn’t get around to turning Leo Le Port on till after one.  Since I’ve never used either a DV-R or a Tevo- - I didn’t know the difference.  Tevo’s are more expensive and have more features and options.  Leo said you can use the analog hole to record movies but I didn’t know that with DV-R you had to confine your viewing to that television and couldn’t digitally copy to your heart’s content to disk drive or whatever.  Apparently you can’t.  So how much does the DVR store in the way of recordings?   Do you have to play them back really soon?   So OK, digital is HTMI, but on the Component plugs- - this is High Definition also, but it’s analog – or electronics the way God intended it.  I listened to the show till two.  Now Windows 8.1 is out but Leo continues to maintain that Windows 7 was the pinnacle of desktop computing software and that with Windows 8 “Microsoft is in its adolescence, trying to make the awkward transition from desk top to tablet computing- and isn’t particular good at either”.  Apparently “surface’ has a newer, better version out.  Leo continues to warn us that ‘As soon as Microsoft has its Tuesday updates, install them right then because the minute Microsoft announces an update, it flags that particular weakness to the bad guys, so they know just where to hunt stuff down and hack into your system.  I listened to the program all the way till two o clock.

Not to go out of order or anything but I listened to Breakfast with the Beatles from the beginning almost continuously till about eleven or so and sporadically after that.  OK we know “I Don’t Want to Spoil the Party” is one of John’s favorite songs.  I have yet to get a confirmation on that from my own “contact”.   There was this whole raft of “Leslie Gore’ style songs about crying at parties and being jealous of a girlfriend- - and you’ll dump her if she looks at another guy and all”.   Julian Lennon was the guest of the morning.  It was kind of a trippy experience because he seemed a whole lot “less like John” than I had imagined.  How whole accent is more reminiscent of George Martin than his father.  His latest album is “Everything Changes”.  If I were ever to do an album a more likely title would be “Nothing Changes”.   So they played the tracks of “Beautiful People” and “Invisable” and some from “Photograph Smile” and finished with the ultimate anthem, his breakthrough single of late 1984.  So I guess he’s working with Steven Tyler.   That one Mc Cartney song about “It didn’t hurt me none- - it was good for my soul” - - seems to be channeling George Harrison a little in the guitar work.

We’ve all heard about misbegotten idea or ideas that were DOA or “killed in the crib”, nipped in the bud or whatever.  Cosmically they never got their act together like “star crossed lovers’ or something.   I would like to discuss two parrellel tracks.  The first is the idea of Universal Health Care, and the other is my becoming a Born Again Christian.   People wonder why President Obama seems so “snake bit”.  For one, I think he is fundamentally an impatient man who thinks more highly of his own ideas than the rest of the world does.  So he has that slogan of “Yes we can” and nobody ever stops to figure out what that means, or whether it means anything at all other than something that helped him sell a book in 2007.   This whole economic recovery seems snake bit.  They say that in 1983 that “The US economy had a tail wind and everybody was pulling for it, and working together- congress and the President, to insure that it was a successful recovery.  Mitt Romney comes on Meet the Press today- - and one thing I’d be saying if I were he - - would be that “If I were President this economy would be performing a whole lot better than it is”.   Because the Congress would be passing those jobs bills and endeavoring to make the President look good.   But let’s compare the current Affordable Care Act with Medicare in 1965.  A year later the thing was up and running and nobody questioned it.  By 1968 as someone pointed out, not even George Wallace made an issue of Medicare’s right to exist as a functioning element of government.  This time we have a bill that was submitted premature, by a President who was elected at least four years premature, before he had sufficient experience to know what he was doing - - and lo and behold here we are nearly five years later and even democrats are saying “perhaps we should re-think this whole process because Obama Care clearly isn’t working”.   In a cold, objective view of the situation, a one year delay in any mandate would not be inappropriate at all to request.  People say “Well it’s only five percent of insure people who are affected”.  But it’s a case of “death by a thousand paper cuts” or more aptly, “Death by a thousand anicdotes”.    Part of this National Aversion tht America has to health care can be traced back to Ted Kennedy, who single handedly prevented us from getting Health Care in early 1974 when President Nixon proposed it.  This is the same Ted Kennedy who almost single handedly got Ronald Reagan elected because of that highly devisive speech he delivered at the Democratic Convention.  Conservative sources also say that Ted Kennedy was undermining Jimmy Carter in other ways, such as foreign policy.  We now come to my Born Again Christianity.  In 1972 or so I seemed well on my way to becoming a born again Christian.  When Hal Lindsey was delivering one of his “Last Days” speeches at the Anaheim Convention Center- - I was routing him on.  I was all for it.  “End of the World? - - that’s Cool”.  Even in 1973 there was all of this “Henry Kissinger is the Antichrist” stuff.  But just as Health Care died on the vine under Harry Truman and other Presidents- - so my interest in Christianity was dying on the vine because starting around mid 1973 a Wall went up between me and my brother that lasted over two and a half years.  So we jump to June of 1975 when I was again showing interested in this supernatural stuff- - - I was into the book Aracne Rising - - astrology - - “Venus and Mars are allright tonight’ and all of that.  I bought those Eric Von Donnigan books such as Charriots of the Gods and Gold of the Gods.  Even Jimmy Swaggart in those days, whom I listened to on the radio said that “heaven is a planet”, not that I entirely bought that.  In October I ordered Doug Clark’s latest prophecy book in a letter and received it shortly, and I was reading the books “666” and “1000”.   But at some point- - perhaps “1000” was a bit too much to take- - my interest in the whole thing cooled.  I stood to get a real job in recording engineering if I could get through the Golden West Recording Arts program.  That was the real world- - and not this other hocus pocus.  But the wall between myself and my brother remained.  Even when he announced his divorce, or what looked like one coming- - Paul’s remarks were directed primarily to my parents and not me.  I felt like a fly on the wall or something.  He gave me “Evidence that Demands a Verdict’ that Christmas.  It made interesting points.  But as you know I fell into a depression in January of 1976 and I’m not entirely sure why.  Why does the economy “slip into a depression?”   Was it some biochemical imbalance?   Maybe I just looked at my life so far and came to the conclusion “It isn’t happening” whatever IT was.   This WALL between me and my brother wasn’t broken until March 20^th of 1976.  One must keep in mind that I had not been over to my brother and his wife’s apartment ONCE in the entire year of 1975, so far as I can remember.  At this time Paul invited the family over to see where he was living now, with a married couple, and the dog, and the garden and all.  After maybe three weeks or so- - you could say he was “settling in”.   One might think, “Well that’s a good start”.   I was thinking “If I can get back a relation with Paul maybe we can talk about religion again - - we’ll see”.  But that’s not what happened.   It’s like President Obama in 2004 can have “asperations of being President some day, but just not tomorrow”.  On March 24^th 1976 just four days later- - I “Became a Born Again Christian”.   Suddenly a lot of weird stuff began happening we have discussed before.  But it’s like Obama and the Republicans.  There was this WALL between the President and the Republicans in 2009.  Sometimes you just Can’t say that “Come hell or high water I’m going to get this Health Care bill passed.”  You just can’t shut the Republicans out and say “I won the election so I make the Rules”.  This breeds ill feelings.  In terms of my Born Again Christianity - - one can argue that I “really didn’t know what it was all about” till late summer of 1977 a year and a half later.  From that point in time, and in the next few weeks and months you could say “I became Educated on the whole subject” and I assure you, not in a good way.  I “found out what it was all about”.   I have covered this gallery of horrors before in my writings.  But this era would kind of symbolize- - “What will happen when Obama Care is actually rolled out and people have to live with it”.   We wouldn’t go to war with Syria because Obama didn’t have the support of the American People.  Obama’s rating in the polls has been dropping steadily for months and his popularity has fallen to 42% or something.  I’m just thinking in my mind that- - like Mort Zucherman and my sister in law say- - is Medical Health Insurance rates are skyrocketing NOW- - where are they headed?   How do you have all hell braking out around you and say “It will all be better” when your track record on the topic completely sucks?   Another topic discussed on Meet the Press was this idea of dumping Joe Byden and making Hillary Vice President.  This idea didn’t poll well because people saw it as a basic act of disloyalty to Byden, and if I had been asked I would have said “Keep Byden”.
