Michael Bloomberg For President

People are saying on all the weekend news shows that there is going to be a third, or possibly fourth party candidate the next election. Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York has indicated an inclination to run for President next time. Clearly his best chances would be if both parties did a melt-down between now and then. If the Democrats are seen as having congressional ethics problems that will make it harder for them to win. Now President Obama has waffled on whether or not he approves of an Islamic Cultural center in lower Manhattan. On Friday night he says he's all for it and talks about first amendment religious liberty for all. But then he does a "walk back" on Saturday because he got a look at the overnight polls. If there is one thing the American People really want it's a Leader who follows his convictions and not one who blows every which way in the political winds. During the campaign Obama said he was against gay marriage. But now since then 52% of the people say they are all for legalized Gay Marriage. If the President were really a man of conviction he'd be just as strident in his outspokenness for traditional American family values as he was then. President Obama is incapable of breaking the power of this Republican mantra that "Business don't hire because they are worried about all the new tax laws and restrictions the Democrats have passed. Bloomberg won't all them to get away with this mantra. He'll see right through it and expose it. Politically, President Obama is like a man afraid of his own shadow, or a dog chasing its tail. The media affects how the people answer poll questions and the President does whatever the people believe at that minute. Does the President allow Newt Gingrich to mold his policies on issues such as Mosques in lower Manhattan? One can hardly regard Newt. Because if Neut really knows as much about American History as he says he knows that once Catholics were suspect, but we got over it. One can hardly regard two blocks away from Ground Zero as "hallowed ground". It is a "mixed neighborhood" with a lot of strip clubs and tatoo parlors in the area, as well as a lot of Muslims. It's an old Berlington Coat Factory building, for heaven sakes. I don't see why Newt and the bunch are ticked off. Michael Bloomberg has always said he favored the Mosque, or whatever it is- - cultural center. Of course on the Republican side, the worst thing that could happen to them is if they win congress this fall election. Because then they'll have the power of the gavvle and be able to hold these famous congressional hearings calling witnesses. In this process they will investigate to their hearts content and waste a lot of time and tax payers' money. The American people won't take too kindly to that. You can bet reducing unemployment will be last on their priorities. It's almost axiomatic that when there is a Republican in the White House the economy is in recession. It was true for both George Bushes, and Ford and Nixon. If the Democrats were smart they would remind the people of this. Bloomberg can come along as the big hero and save the day. And I would probably vote for him if that happened. Obama is pretty much all washed up. I don't think his presence here in California is going to help Barbra Boxer. Once again she is trailing in the polls. We want Senator Carley Feurina or whatever. Obama is just so wishy-washy he isn't good for much of anything. Maybe he should get a job as a college professor. We all know teaching is one job you can't get fired from.

If you saw Sixty Minutes last night you know that "Nice guys finish last". There is one man who had done what no one else had done in centuries of Swiss banking. He blew the lid off all their secrecy and now is considered a scourge to Switzerland and they have kicked him out of their country for revealing their secrets. Our Feds said they wanted information so the man told them everything he knew about various illegal financial deals. As a result of all of this grilling, the whistle blower was the ONLY one to get prison time. All the rest of the people who were being investigated went off Scott free. How is that justice for you. It's the way we do things in this country. You're not only "Too big to fail" but you're also "Too big to get punished". Instead of going after the big fish- they would rather just go through the motions of an investigation. Considering how it turned out - every other potential informent will now look at the example and say "Hell, I'm not going to be a whistle blower". So the justice department will do what they do best, pick on the little guy, like someone growing marijuana plants in their basement. I was happy to see Bill Press on the Mc Laughlin report. That kind of evened up the score a little. Pres is an even more strident liberal then Eleanor Clift. He doesn't believe either Charlie Rangler or Maxine Waters should be brought up on congressional charges. Bill Press states that Nancy Palosi has the power to make all of this go away, if she has the political resolve. There is no reason why we have to waste congressional time on these piddeling charges- - and certainly not before the November election. Perhaps President Obama should hire Bill Press as his political advisor. But if Bill Press is as smart as I believe he is, he would not lower himself to go with a loser.

Dead fish- - hundreds of them, have shown up on beaches all along the Atlantic coast line. This is like something out of a Biblical plague. Not even the sea gulls will eat them. It could be that the fish are starved of oxygen either from global warming, or from that corexid dispursent solution, or perhaps due to increased microbial action. At any rate it's a clear sign something is very wrong. Today the shrimping season has opened on the gulf. What have they been doing up till now??? The fishermen are not at all confident. The President and daughter Shasha took a horrible change swimming in those contaminated waters. If either of them comes down with something it's going to look really bad. Of course - - there are enough natural disasters such as this continuous flooding in Pakistan that has gone on for three weeks. They say the United States presence in the area handing out food and supplies will go a long way tword increasing our status among Pakistanis. Now we have flooding in Iowa. It would appear the worse of the summer heatwave in the nation's mid section may be subsiding. But we know we're going to continue to see these freak stories as long as we continue "benign neglect" of the planet.

Dr. Levy has been doing these topics on how to achieve holiness as a Jew. One of these is how to cultivate holiness itself. Today we talked of having "Order" in our lives. He said that with that order we are better able to bless other people and serve as an example for them. If - like in my own experiance with Christians- - they are either really late for an event- - or sometimes really early- - -or the event is not at all as they described it. There are any number of other mind games Christian's use. One lady, Emily- - was so disorganized I don't know how she managed. One time I was invited to dinner at her place and guess what? She forgot to fix the main course. So we warmed up hot dogs or something. Christians chalk this up to "God changing his mind" or something. You see order in nature with the creation of the Universe and the orbiting bodies, and the atoms and molicules and even leaves on plants, or butterflies. Christian teachers often "Find" a great deal of order in the Bible. One of their axioms is "the rule of first use". For instance the first time disobediance occurred was Adam and Eve eating the apple. So first and foremost God wants to keep us from discovering important truths about ourselves and Him. This sense of curiosity and discovery is hence the first and foremost of sins. If you want to know about the first use of the word "Love" - - you family values people aren't going to like it. Read it for yourselves. God isn't real big on family values. He often picks out loners who are somehow estranged from their families. He has a poor track record for promoting family harmony anyhow. Take for instance not giving Cain and Abel a little teenage counseling before anything serious happens.. You know - nip problems in the bud. No, not God. One of David's own children Tamar, was raped by her brother. And David did absolutely nothing about it in terms of discipline. This inattiveness came back to bite him in the ass later on. "David" is seen as a type of "Messiah" figure in the Bible. Oh yeah- - the Virgin Birth. If that really did happened, I wonder what it did for family values in one Palistinian family. Of course another quality is Humility and I find this one fascenating. Dr. Levy pointed out that humility has a sense of "not taking up too much space" but each of us deserves his fair place and "fair ammount of space". We should even encourage others who "aren't taking up their fair amount of space". If there is anything that's responsible for my getting out of Christianity (and believe me that changes every day of the week!) it would be that I have been squeezed out. There is just no room for me in the faith. So - what is a fellow to do?

Dr. Laura Endorses Use of the "N" Word

Dr. Laura on her program has endourced the use of the N word. She says that Blacks use that word all the time and use of a word shouldn’t depend on how much melanin they have in their system. In her first hour, Stephanie and Chris were accusing Dr. Laura of using the word “Nigger” on her program and at first I was perplexed, because I had no idea Laura had slidden that far from any normal standards of decency. But this is a woman was estranged from her own mother right up to her death. And apparently her mother died in her apartment alone, and it was days (?) before anyone noticed till they noticed the smell. And we won't even talk about Laura's son, who apparently has a whacked out "beyond the pale" website. Some people like Stephanie Johnson might call Laura because their own behavior isn't masochistic enough but now they need to tell Laura their situation, only to have Laura tell them what they most dread hearing. Apparently Dr. Laura used the N word some eleven times. So far Dr. Laura has no contract with FOX network. Apparently Laura was counseling a mixed race couple where the wife was Black and the husband’s friends who would make improper reference to race and “what is it like to be Black?” and used the N word in her presence all the time and Laura said if she couldn’t take the slurs then she shouldn’t have married across racial lines. But if someone comes in to your home the standards are if anything higher than what they might choose to use in their own residence. Laura wanted two examples just to convince her that it was racist enough to be bothered by.

Iran is officially launching a Nuclear Reactor beginning August 21st, which would be a Saturday. The project was begun in the late ‘seventies but the Russians began working with Iran in the ‘nineties. The reactor is loaded with Russian fuel. The inauguration was delayed from 2007 because of cost overruns. They are now saying that the United Nations is “down” with this development. Although my understanding of what “the world” has been saying is that Iran was not allowed to use nuclear material in any context. I thought that was the source of a lot of recent contention. Of course if you want to know my opinion, I don’t think this reactor will ever go on line. I think Israel will not allow that to occur but they will “take out” the reactor with an air strike, which has probably been in planning for years. They were just waiting for the right moment. I don't think it's in Iran's karma to be a "trusted and respected nation in the community of nations. I think we've seen too many signs otherwise.

Stephanie Miller has “Come Out”. Stephanie came out as a lesbian this morning the second hour of her show. I didn’t know about it till after breakfast. At first I thought she was joking but she wasn’t. It’s rather sad, actually. Stephanie had been married but now says it didn’t work out because he was fooling around with other women, and Stephanie was also fooling around - - with other women. All the major partner’s in Stephanie’s life have been women. She says that her late father would have understood because running mate Barry Goldwater came out for gay rights. I didn’t know that.

“The Secret” was a best selling book, even outselling Harry Potter one person said. And now there is a Movie out, and I just watched the trailer, twice. Of course “the secret” is no big secret. It involves mental imaging and the “law” that like attracts like, and that positive attracts positive and negative attracts negative. Let me give you a simple example to show the folly of this logic. On a dry day if you scuff your feet on the rug and touch a metal object you get a shock. This is because you have built up a charge in coming in contact with the carpet. You did not will it to happen, it just did. Many would suppose that you are an agent of Free Will and as long as you “Confess” it and hold onto it, eventually you’ll have it. Some might even say “My will is so powerful that even a superior alien Being from another planet could not possibly bend my will. I don’t suggest you need to go that far. How about a man verses a rat? Both are mammals, or warm blood fur bearing creatures of the same biological “class”. How can you change the will of a rat “just like that”. Well, a rat trained to go through a maze a certain way to get food will continue to do so. But if you one day change all of the partitions to lay out another course, the rat will change to adopt to that new course. Now it is true that some of us act stupidly and without intelligent discretion. Many a master has said you need to get a handle on your basic drives and emotions. But emotions are like advertising signs along a road. They may distract you but if you are on the right road will get to where you are intending to go. If you are on the wrong road no amount of self affirmation or signs advertising the crystal cathedral will get you there- on that road. Some people say that death- - even suicide is like throwing down your cards- - or knocking over the board in a chess game. You may say “I give up”. You lost that round but there is always a new deal of the deck. Well, perhaps. But what if life is a game that does not end in death? What is I was someone like Nicole Walker in a previous life? Why do I tend to identify with her on that show even when I know I shouldn’t? What the real “Secret” in life is knowing the modas opperandi of Events. You want to know how they “really” operate and what the real cause of them is. They say a rich person who loses all his money will one day earn it all back and sooner than anybody thinks. Whereas if you give some men or women (like Bonnie Lockhart) a million dollars, they will have blown it all before five years has elapsed. This tells you the partial truth that Character counts for something. There is no denying this. But let’s use the example of particles of magnetic iron oxide with MYLAR backing. Recording tape. Suppose you have exposed these particles to a certain event or happening. They are changed by that event. Even if they had consciousness and could change themselves- - -not enough of them would change to erase the image of the recorded event from the tape. This is how I suggest that charms and hexes work. And that is the real secret. We know people to whom fortuitous events have an affiliation. And we know those velcroe types that seem to attract the cosmic “lint” of life. Your karma is not a physical thing that can be altered merely by using a new brand of hair tonic. One can certainly employ awareness- - and not necessarily even psychic awareness- - - to more aptly “play the game of life”. Certainly I will agree that there are psychic vampires out there who suck your energy and Lie to you. You need to learn to ignore these. But certain things you just need to wait for them to play out and run their course, like a bad disease. When they have run their course you become Free. And when your Enemies charms have played themselves out- - then you have the ability to subjugate your Enemy and once again put things in right order with the Universe.

Gay Marriages Begin August 18th.

Today Judge Walker after a seemingly troubled deliberation, decided that next Wednesday would be a good time to commence the avelanche of gay marriages that are sure to occur in this state. But he gave it six days for "the other side" to appeal to the Ninth Circuit Court and have them pass on this ruling before it goes into effect. I had hoped that Justice Walker would grow a conscience and decide that he didn't want to make a bad situation more complicated, when the final Supreme Court ruling does take place. But the Judge figured these gay couples had waited long enough. So we will have gay marriage as an enduring reality in the State of California for at least several years untill the national Supreme Court can at last rule on this subject. No doubt is Justice Kennedy steps down from the Court before then, the Republicans will pull out all the stops in terms of fillibusters to block that replacement nomination, and I don't blame them. I guess it was Kruschev that said that missiles in Cubs were "like a cow pasture outside your window. You may not like it one bit, but in time you'll get used to it".

The Dow Jones Industrials went down 59 points after a drop of over two hundred points yesterday, and all the other indexes followed suit. The beef now is that first time unemployment claims are again on the rise. There is a growing concencus that three months will not be enough time to turn this economy around before the November 2nd mid term elections. If this be the case we need to resign ourselves not only to continued Republican gridlock, but also that this economy will relapse as the stimuli go away and the Republicans enact measures such as drastic cuts in spending that will indeed send this fragile economy into a tail spin.

According to today’s Presidential speech, congress DID pass some “Buy American” legislation. I didn’t know that. Obama says tax laws were also changed which encourages corporations to relocate overseas. I didn’t know that either. I don't want to be perceived as a negative nabob of negativism on this issue. We should count our blessings. But I fear the things that most people call really important like ending the War and ending racial prejudice, or get this economy really humming- - are areas beyond the President's present control.

They say that stress introduces a hormone in women that inhibits conception. This is certainly no news to men out there. Many a husband has seen his wife get all wrought up over not being able to conceive. In the case of Clowie on Days of our Lives, it may well that the only time she can really "relax" is in the arms of another man, in this case Philip. In heaven I see no reason why the whole thing can't be one big sex orgy where nobody has any hangups and we are all "free to be ourselves". That may be in the case of Melanie that she is truely in love with two different men. Each one meets a particular "need" of hers. Only here on earth to we men get neurotic over stuff like that.

It isn't often I get a revelation about "God". But it dawned on me today that we owe our Life itself to God. Life after all in its pure form, is energy. And that energy has to come from somewhere. It's both in the giving and in the receiving that we truely have life. For instance a similar looking device (s) can be used either as an electric motor, or as a manual torque powered generator that produces electricity. Also one has to see life as energy and now it remains whether our brains are AC or DC. I would be inclined to believe our brains produce DC current impulses- - and only in the hundreds of waves per second, if I'm correct. Some people would prefer to see us as generating AC modulated current. I was in the story following struggling whether to use an AC or DC metaphore. I'm not sure how the font and color will turn out in the final posting. I'd like it to be as it is right now.

One day Anne Rice went to bathe and she slipped in the shower and lay unconscious for hours. When they found her they diagnosed a subdural hemotoma. They took her to a Catholic hospital but she got mixed up with another patient named Anne Rye, who was there for an appendectomy. But they got Rice instead and performed the operation on her instead. Meanwhile she got complications from the brain injury and by the time they discovered the mix-up she was dead. When Anne woke up it was in a place she knew not. A man was there with her and said that he feared he was going to Hell. She asked him why. He said that he was a heritic and tried to distort the teachings of the church. He wrote ten bogus letters perporting to have been written by St. Ignatious. But he changed the name to Saul and he also wrote a Gospell of the Christ and was working on a s sequel which he planned to call Acts of the Apostles, when he died. He got stuck on chapter eight and wasn’t sure how to write it- - since he was making it all up anyhow. Some men came for Marcion and they took him behind a door and closed it. Meanwhile Anne Rice was invited into a room. There she was told she wasn’t in any trouble but she needed a few things before she went into eternity. She mentioned the Catholic hospital where she died and the others said “Catholic? You mean they don’t discriminate on race, color or creed?” “Of course not” Anne said. She asked what year it was and they said “790”. She said “That sounds like a Los Angeles talk radio station”. They asked her for some help. Somehow they had obtained a bunch of Steve Jobs videos but it was in a strange, indecipherable tongue. “She said, Oh, that is English”. They said “Our expects have been trying to translate it and so far have been unsuccessful. Perhaps you can write out a transcription for us. They said “You do know the Roman alphabet, don’t you?” “That shouldn’t be a problem” she said. “You said this was the year 790. Is that AD- - - -in the year of our Lord”. They jumped up and shouted “Hail Ceasar”. Anne said “Are the Ceasars still ruling? If so I need to restudy my world history because that wasn’t my understanding”. They said “The history of the world IS the history of Rome”.

We would like to show you something that will help you understand our world.” They took her to a room filled with books. “This is what’s known as a Holi-deck”. It’s a deck used for recreation aboard space ships a long time ago”. Anne got curious. “How- - Long Ago?” “About thirteen thousand years ago men traveled in air ships, but some called them space ships”. Anne says “I didn’t know that”. They said, “I would like to show you something. Take three books from the shelves and throw them one by one at that door”. Anne Rice did so. One by one the books disappeared when they hit the open space into a bunch of sparks.”. She then turns “I thought I heard a noise”. “Look” they said. Behind her were the three books she had just thrown out the door. Now they took her to another room and directed to her a computer screen. “This is a really advanced device” they said. She laughed. “This is an Asteroids game. It’s right out of the eighties”. They said “Oh it’s been around much longer than that”. Anne thought a minute- - “Oh yeah. For you the eighties was- - just last year”. “Have you ever played this game?” “No” she said. Now try it- - here is the control that powers the ship. Anne took the controles and soon the ship was spinning off the screen and then would zoon out of view and zoom again on the other side of the screen where it would again cross the screen and return to the left. “I don’t know how to control it” she said. They stopped the ship for her. “Do you know the point of what we just showed you?” “No” Anne said. “Well- - it illustrates something. Exceeding the speed of light is like getting to the edge of the universe. Anne said “What do you mean- - LIKE”. They said “Well, the minute you exceed the speed of light you leave the universe. You as it were “Hit the edge of it- - no matter where you are. If you are on the road to Antioch and hit the speed of light in Antioch THAT is where the end of the Universe is. If you don’t break light speed till you get to Jerusalem, then Jerusalem is the edge of the Universe” “I think I see”, Anne said. “Thanks for explaining that”. Now since the Universe is expanding at one third the speed of light- - and is 12 Billion years old- - we can presume that the Universe has a radius of four Billion light years- - and that basically at the speed of light- - - it takes twice PI of four billion years to circumnavigate the Universe, or about 13 billion years. But we also know that the human soul ocelates at trillions of cycles per second. So you start multiplying seconds into years for number of revolutions. And so it’s safe to say that you have to travel several quintillion times the speed of light to be in the state of Awareness or LIFE so that we can really call you a cosmically conscious Being. “So you travel around in circles, do you”. “No” they said. The physical manifestation of what you are travels that fast. YOU are the magnetic ocelations that precees from this orbiting. Your soul is a giant magnate and Time is the vertical bar and the electric wire spirals around the Bar of Time and generates pulsed magnetism. And this magnitisum ocelates in sixth dimensional space within a step on the Cosmic stair case”. Anne says “Hold it, you’re going too fast”. They backed up and said “You know all these cosmic nutrinos scientists say fill the Universe”. “I suppose so”. “Well these nutrinos are bits of matter that are physical fragments of your former life”. “Do you know what alpha particles and beta rays and gamma rays are”. “OK that will be tomorrows lesson”. She said “Which kind are generated in a nuclear chain reaction just out of curiosity?” “That would be Alpha particles”. They said. That’s two protons and two neutrons. “ “OK I had to ask. They said “When you were in the world you learned the history of the world. As a novelist we expect you to be smarter than the average bear, and this will give you a little background”.

President Obama Signs State Aid Bill

Today President Obama actually did something right. He signed the aid bill to help states with Medi Cal payments and also to keep policemen and teachers from being laid off. It is a good thing. Randy Rhodes was saying something today about police officers and teachers being the new "Welfare Queens", which was kind of a myth to begin with, since the majority of welfare recipients are White. But it was pointed out like in the Meg Whitman commercials, it isn't that state unions are looting the tax payers pockets, it's just that these people are among the few who actually get what is coming to them, as opposed to the private sector where the employees are over-worked and under-paid. For senior citizens it is worse. For the second year in a row in 2010 Social Security payments contain no cost of living increase even though expenses for older people has continued to rise. They aren't buying things like power lawnmowers or new homes or lap top computers that are going down in price but rather prescription medication. It used to be that when corporations wanted to expand they hired on new employees. Now they've all found a way to cut payrolls and expand profits. People say that Obama is "trying to advance the progressive agenda". Others like Pat Buchannon say that President Obama is a political oppertunist and whichever way the winds are blowing is the direction he will lean. I am inclined to believe with this assasment. People wonder what the political "center" IS nowadays. It is pointed out that the political opposite of Michelle Bachman or a Sarah Paylin is not someone like President Obama, but rather a member of the American Communist Party, all three hundred of them. Thom Hartman is not a down the line idiolog as far as the left is concerned. There are any number of issues such as guns and immigration where Hartman shows conservative traits, such as throwing out the fourteenth amendment as far as it serves to protect American born children. It isn't typical of a leftist to say that Marburry verses Madison set a bad Supreme Court Precedent. Most leftists don't advocate guying gold. I sure don't. My point is that nobody would argue that President Obama is to the political right of Thom Hartman. The health care bill was a sheer give-away to the Insurance companies, and I was against it in its final form. President Obama has kept on Defense Secretary Gates from the Bush administration. In fact Obama's entire foreign policy and natural security position is basically a holdover from the Bush administration. President Clinton wasn't that different. He turned his back on the gays with "Don't Ask Don't Tell". He signed that bad telecommunacations bill finishing the damage Reagan has started. He signed the bill to "end welfare as we know it" and he also signed the Defense of Marriage act. In addition to all this he let the Republicans put through all that economic legislation that has caused so much damage. You know it was nearly thirty years ago the song "Take This Job and Shove It" was popular. Nobody would dare say that today because employees have all been "Greenspanized" and are constantly in fear of their very jobs, in any form. People regard that male flight attendant for Jet Blue airlines as kind of a folk hero. He got into a scuffle with a passenger and had a piece of luggage fall on him from the overhead bins. Then he picked up two beers from a serving tray (and presumably drank them) and then used the ejection slide to exit the plan to his car where he drove away. I could write paragraphs on the pressures for both employee and passenger in the airline industry. It was pointed out that passengers have been hassled all the way through the process of boarding the plane and they too reach that snapping point. But when you look at Obama you wonder why he is doing the things he does. You know, to go "Soap Opera" on you people, I wouldn't mind a bit if Berock Obama was a little more like Elvis Di Mira. He would make a good attorney because he inspires confidence and is calm and cool under fire and he knows what he's doing and he doesn't back down. He makes sure he has all his ducks lined up in a row before acting. Nicole Walker has a real guardian angel in him. He is the best thing she's got going when all her other friends have forsaken her. Of course some will say "People will do amazing things if they feel they're being blackmailed. I guess the issue is "We know Obama feels pressure from the political right and everyone on the left makes excuses for his actions, or inaction. How can we on the left be a little more like Nicole Walker and get our own "bargaining chip" to expedite a little Action? I saw this thing on the internet last weekend about a Black attorney (?) or something involved in that false arrest incident of a Black professor outside his own home. He said that the President's involvement on this issue "blackened" him. THAT is a racist barb is there ever was one. That it was a Black man who said it causes me to cringe. You know something, the political Left DOES need to put out a unified message. But that message should NOT be "George Bush light". It should be a message that advances the causes of the left, so that the left can be relivent today.

Global Warming is in the news. We have record setting heat in most of the country (but not here on the west coast, thankfully) and also in places like Moscow, which is pretty far north. They are suffering through really bad heat and really bad smog, due to all the fires in the region. They say the peat bogs around Moscow are on fire. And we have record rains and flooding in such diverse areas as Poland, China, and of course in Pakistan. And just in the past few days there is that ice sheet four times the size of Manhattan breaking off into the sea, which would provide drinking water for every man, woman, and child in the U S for 120 days. You can't rationalize all this away. This is the hottest summer of the hottest year of the hottest decade ever. People talk about the snow storms but a lot of this was with thirty degree temperatures or in other words just below the melting point. Raise the temperature a few more degrees and these snow storms also will be a thing of the past. I guess just today Carl Sagan said that mankind better colonize another planet within the next two hundred years or we're all doomed. There is not a lot of time and the more we waste the more we run the risk we will have waited too long because we've already passed the tipping point. To coin a phrase from our Dentist friends, "If you wait to go until it starts to hurt, basically you've waited too long". Dr. Levy did a little Al Gore bashing the other day even though Al Gore has done a disappearing act in the media from the presence he had just a few years ago. And it's an unhealthy thing. Being right is not always the politically expedient thing to do. In the past we know this is true. But it seems as this is just another case of those who ignore the lessons of history are doomed to repeat it. (Selah)

In order to colonize other planets we will first have to develop some propulsion system that is not prohibitive, with or without the special theory of relativity. Under ordenary Newtonian physhics- - propulsion systems known to us now just won't cut it in Deep Space. It would be nice if somewhere some flying bit of matter were clocked at hyper-light speeds. If you read our material from late last year you know about the "reciprocity doctrine". This isn't a way to get out of a rape conviction but rather it's the doctrine that says that all of the claims Einstein made for special relitivity may be just optical illusions and not actual. If they are illusion- - then none of the things Einstein said would happen WILL happen. I repeat this is in special relitivity, which is a hypothetical zero gravity realm. I know of no instance where Einstein's theories were proved in a Zero G environment, or nearly so. If you have, let me know. This is a legal loophole, a "hole card" if you will, that Elvis Di Mira himself might pull out of a hat to win his case.

THE FOLLOWING WAS TYPED AUGUST 8TH. 2010

Last night I watched the Mc Laughlin report. It was a gang-up so four to one on Eleanor Clift. It gets tiresome. Then I watched Malcolm in the Middle and then Wheel of Fortune. Then it was another airport movie. This pushy guy is in this woman’s face and she doesn’t have the gumption to blow him off and now she learns he’s some kind of a homicidal nut. I had some dream last night about Dad weeding out my folders and I was looking for them and he was vague about where they were of if they were around.

In the morning I went out to the bakery for a large coffee. I had Neil Savedera on and today he was asked about pets in heaven. I thought for a minute he was going to go into the “lobotomy doctrine” where the sadness of losing a pet (or other unsaved family member) would be forever erased from your brains by God. But then he says animals aren’t specifically mentioned in heaven. WE are not specifically mentioned in heaven either. First there is the thousand years on earth and then there is “a new Heaven and a new Earth” because the old ones are passed away. I wanted to find the blog where I use a writing in Word from July or August of 2005 about the very line of reasoning Jesus talked about where animals are not “Judged” the way human beings are. The point of my article then was that it’s inherently unfair for HUMANS to suffer eternal torment in Hell merely by not saying the magic words of Salvation. The trouble is- - Google Desktop pretty much sucks as far as finding references in blogs, even though it does a good job finding Word documents. I’d like to give my readers a link or something to other blogs of mine where they could go for more information, but I don’t have any indexing system and the more blog postings I do, the more chaotic it gets.

We had Rice Krispies again for cold cereal. We had the ever so usual fried egg and under toasted toast with butter and two grape jellies today. I was unable to get a second cup of coffee because she was slow making the rounds and even put the extra cream back on her cart so as not to waste it. We finished early and I caught most of the Chris Matthews program and “Meet the Press”. The oil leak was a topic. At nine they had the gay marriage topic starting with the two attorneys who had argued the case. Then they had the gay couple on themselves. They were two well dress clean cut wholesome looking men, who could about pass for Mormon missionaries. They appeared not to be flaming radicals or anything but said they just wanted rights not based on sexual discrimination. The idea of procreation or “marital duties” or roles is not the issue. It’s that the whole notion is a biological and moral perversion of a thousands of years old cherished institution. I turned it off at 9:18 and went out for a cigarette.

“Get Back” was originally intended as a song about Pakistanis coming to England to take away jobs. “Jo-Jo” is supposedly Dennis Lane’s wife, and Tuscon is where Linda once lived. Brian Ray (?) (not Brian May) was some guitarist that worked with Paul once and KOLA played a new song of his. KLOS had that Lawerence Jubar (?) fellow who joined Wings for “Back to the Egg”. Wings ended prematurely because of some Japanese concert that got derailed. Brian played “When I’m 64” and it sounded like two guitars playing. It seems like it would take seven or eight fingers just to finger the thing. KLOS played “Spin It On” and “Old Siam, Sir” and I’m wondering whether this song might have been a little inspired by Rush’s “Passage to Bancock”. They played three “American versions” of Beatle songs. They played the single tracked version of “And I Love Her”. They played the version of “I’ll Cry Instead” with the extra verse, long roomered to exist. And they played “I Feel Fine” with the American re-virb. They played “Good-bye, My Love” with Mc Cartney using his “Blind Owl” voice.

With Leo Le Port we’ve been plagued for weeks now by his constantly airing repeats in his broadcasts. I don’t believe the whole show is a repeat but it’s persistentant enough to be annoying. There is a security “hole” in the Safari operating system that can only be fixed or plugged by “jail breaking” the I Phone. Even Leo says jail breaking is not always a good idea because “there aren’t that many applications it doesn’t have” but also because jail breaking may cause it to malfunction. We had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and Fritos for lunch. I had an extra half. Again there were seconds on coffee. We had cantaloupe. Loretta not only declined my half-ass offer to go to Harvest Festival tonight to hear James Dobson, but she didn’t even go to church this morning. In light of what I said above, I really don’t want to go myself. I only have two cigarettes left. Even on a good week the problem is running out of money before the end of the week. They just announced that the Salvation Army singers were now here.

I managed to watch This Week on the ABC link. It was sliced up into segments, but they were reasonable segments, not excessively short. There were several segments on Iraq and Afghanistan and military progress, and on the subject of military suicides. Then they talked about he gellatanus nature of the US Senate. The example with Washington and Jefferson and the pouring out of coffee into the saucer to cool it, is not quite right. The Senate has become a place for bills to die. In one case a Republican who wanted to support the troops last December was convinced by the others not to so it would hold up the Health Care bill till as close as Christmas as possible for political purposes. Don’t ask me how the two were connected. President Obama has not made his case to the American people, but the Republicans have, and that is the problem. One side has a clear position and Obama does not want to fight back because he feels uncomfortable espousing liberal issues. So his biggest problem is cowardess

In What Direction is Our Society Evolving?

Today I watched one of the most ignorant, farsical displays I've seen in a long time. It was one of these "court trials" on the book review station but on by Freedomfest 2010. The topic of the way was "Is Religion beneficial to our social conduct?" The opening speaker talked about the massive stone cathedrals built in Europe while the common people were starving. He spoke of art and music and literature being produced that was not generally available to the unwashed masses. He spoke of how Greece was responsible for higher math and advanced concepts in art. At a certain point his opening statement was cut off by the "Judge" and he was accused of "filibustering". I have to suggest right here that the Judge didn't even know what a "filibuster" was. I can't respect a man with that kind of ignorance. It isn't cutting a guy off after he's making too many excellent points that makes your side look utterly stupid. Just to refresh your memory, a filibuster is for the purpose of stalling and NOT making points, of "running out the clock". A filibuster is reading your aunt's recipe for blueberry pie or reading the genealogy of the Egyptian pharaohs, or reading off names from a phone book. That's what a filibuster is. It was pointed out that "My opponent will try and tell you that Science couldn't advance in the world until the advent of Christianity in the West." Well, just to refresh your memory- - advances in science didn't take place in the west till the middle of the fourteen hundreds. And this was because of contact the Crusaders had had with Babylon and places in the Middle East, and points further East such as China, and contact with Islam, or in other words places that still respected Science, something they had abandoned in the West ever since the Fourth Century when the Nicine Creed was ratified. So the religious protagonist gets up there with the oppertunity to take the sum total of six or seven thousand years of acquired religious wisdom to try and make the best opening statement possible. He starts off by talking about a village you walk into where 95% know a man named "Bill" whereas the remaining five percent either don't know Bill, or else actively deny his existance. Well let's put on our thinking caps and try to anticipate his point. Does "Bill" somehow represent "God" in this story and 95% of the people say they know "God" and so must be right? Well, suppose we say to the 95%, "Good. Bill sounds like a nice guy. I'd like to meet him." And they say "Bill's not here. We can't find him and we have no idea where to look for him". And you ask for a photograph of Bill and none of the group photographs have Bill in them, and you can't find any DNA or forensic evidence that Bill ever existed there. I think I've made my point. One key point the Atheist made that really can't be refuted was that in telling the Jesus Passion Story, one is inclined to side with Jesus against the Jewish religious authorities, although Jesus was basically standing alone? The big question is "What capacity is there in man that gives him the ability to say that one religion is more moral than another religion? It can't come from religion". Then various socialogical studies were brought out to demonstrate that church going people are more moral. But then when cross examined and asked how the studies were "controled" for caused and effect, he said "None of that was done. We didn't regard it as necessary". One of the studies showed that people who attended a little church got drunk more often than people who never attended church at all. And he concluded "a little religion is better than none at all". But clearly many of the founders of religion might be called scitzophrenic by today's modern standards. The foundation for many of Hitler's anti-semitic ideas came from the Christian clergy. All the while we were told that that the apparent tranquility of modern day Europe can't be entered into evidence because "Europe was religious two hundred years ago". The best he could come up for Atheists causing social havoc is Po Pot in Cambodia, who went on a killing rampage back in the late 'seventies. This trial is reminicent of something Luis Monteith would do. It carries shallowness to a whole new dimension. It makes Sheria Law of the Muslems look enlightened by comparrison. In Sheria law there are no lawyers, no juries, no cross examination of witnesses, and no compulsary process for obtaining witnesses on your behalf. There is also much thing as a charge of purgery because being Muslem, you are presumed to be a person of contience. Women's testimony is given only half the weight of a man's. And Infidel's testimony may be disregarded alltogether. Also- - Sheria law does not accept any modern forensic evidence, so DNA evidence in rape trials is not admissable. Presumably women as well as men may get a divorce, but I imagine that isn't likely. Most modern Islamic countries have severely limited or abolished Polygamy. Moslems have a five tiered system of morality. There is behavior that is required, such as are in the Five Pillars of the Faith. There is behavior that is recomended. There is behavior that is neutral. There is behavior that is banned outright. And there is behavior that is "discouraged" because it might lead to banned behavior. In Calvary Anaheim behavior that is discourages are things like- - dating the opposite sex- - because it might lead to sexual relations- - also thinking and asking questions and seeing things from another point of view is strongly discouraged- - and seeking psychotherapy is discouraged because it is a symptum of spiritual weakness. Thus is the reactionary state of religion.

People think of Evolution as being forward progress. The Grand Canyon is a product of evolution because of water erosion over tens of thousands of years. Evolution can be an erosive thing. It can erode your faith in God and shape it into something else. Erosion can turn arguments around. You know- - I've been debating with myself- - which is more reactionary- - Calvary Chapel Christianity or Sheria law? The thing with Christianity is you get away from it for a while and then you come back to it later, perhaps hoping it's changed, and in the intervening period it seems to have gotten even worse than you remember it. Certainly Islam is a highly authoritative and reactionary religion. Nobody disputes this. Still if there is a good thing about all these Wars the US has become involved in, it's an opportunity to get "In Your Face" confronting Islamic Law, particularly about the abuse of women's rights. The women of Islam are in the end what will end up changing it. As the world goes, the forces of change are still positive and progressive, even if the pendulum seems to be swinging the opposite way in this country right now. Evolution is of course "survival of the fittest" and certainly there is a place for that in this country. We want "market forces" to decide things as a rule, rather than a central government. If inventors had as many amazing energy and new automotive inventions as they claim to have, more of them would have caught on if they really worked, if for no other reason than corporations would want to cash in on them. "Buying out" a good idea and junking it is counter-productive. In time certainly any corporation will realize this. People believe the world is a more tollarent place than it used to be. Hopefully one day it will be a more peaceful place.

The Two Fourteenth Amendments

Two people want to change or abolish the fourteenth amendment. You have the "birthers" or conservatives from the right who want to strip out the words that say "anyone born on US soil is an American citizen". Some argue that this provision should be stricken out in favor of a line that says "Your parents have to be American citizens". What's wrong with this is how does Anybody prove that they are a United States citizen? So you take the citizenship test that new immigrents have to take? If so there are a lot of older people who would not pass it, because they have been out of school a long time. No court has ever rules that children of aliens born here are NOT protected. On the contrary you have an 1998 case involving Chinese laborers who were decreed to have citizenship if they were born on US soil. So that issue is settled. Nobody is ever going to get through a provision to strike out lines in the fourteenth amendment past three fourths of the state legeslatures. This is just another phantom issue the right wingers like to flap their gums about. On the other hand there are people on the left, and I would be one of these, who want to insert the words "Natural born" in front of "persons" in the provision that says everybody has equal protection under the law. As you know this provision has recently been deemed to apply to corporations. Here is a case where we can indeed say "This is not the writers of the amendment meant" because corporations were not even granted "person hood" till a 1886 court ruling, that has been affirmed many times since. Thom Hartman says we could compromise and have BOTH provisions inserted into the constitution. Of the two the corporations so beloved by the right wing would suffer the most. Because illegal aliens would go ahead and apply for citizenship the legal way, whereas corporations would forever be stripped of their person hood. I imagine these two issues will be major issues in the fall campaign.

Justice Elena Kagan has officially been sworn in. She was officially approved by the Senate yesterday in a vote where five Republicans went for her and one Democrat went against her. Otherwise it was a party line vote. Still the Republicans were willing to put in this possibly gay Justice and definite lover of gay rights. Some people say that justices ruling on gay rights issues should recuse themselves if they are themselves gay. I do not agree with this position. There is nothing about having homosexual proclivities that prevents you from making an unbiased decision on homosexual rights. Justice Walker out in California is himself gay. This decision he wrote is 138 pages and gay protagonists suggest that you read it. In the decision he enumerates eighty "findings of legal fact" and these "findings of fact" cannot be touched by a higher court. That's what they say. The ruling makes clear that there are "no new rights" being granted but only the right to marry, which always existed and that sexual bias needn't enter. He further said that "separate but equal" wouldn't cut it. This means that "domestic partnerships" grant inherently inferior rights to actual marriage. He said that it is "Not in the interest of the state to define the sexual choice of who you marry, nor is it in the state's interest to discourage homosexuality. These are the facts. I'm just reporting them. As to Justice Kennedy voting to overturn this decision when it gets to the Supreme Court, the signs do not augur well for that outcome. Because Justice Kennedy wrote the decision on Lawerence verses Texas in that sodomy case a few years ago, striking down Texas sodomy laws. So we're already half way there. In the case of "Loving verses Virginia" in 1967 you will remember the scene in "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" where Spencer Tracy says to his prospective son in law "In at least a half a dozen states you'd be breaking the law". And the parents went on to discuss all the other problems they'd have with societal acceptance. As you know there is one line where Sydney Porterier says to his father "Until the weight of your generation is off our backs, we will never be free". The father says "You owe me everything" and the son says "No, you owe ME everything just as I will owe my son everything if I have one, and his son in turn". This line has become sort of a hippy creedo. You know- - - all of the foregoing is well and good, but it's irrelivent. You remember in "Inheret the Wind" where Clarence Darrow is refused the right by the judge to call scientists, palientologists and anthropoligists, in order to make a case through these witnesses. They were ruled as irrelivent by Henry Morgan. "They do not pertain to the crime at hand", which pretty much boils down "Did or didn't he go it?" So they called a lot of witnesses including sociologists and the whole nine yards. They make a nice case- - but not for the issue at hand. At no time in history so far as I know, not even in corrupt Greece and Rome, was homosexual marriage a recognized institution. Indeed the moray was that you'd have sex with a teenage boy and then break it off when he got married. Can't we at least come up to the morality of ancient Greece? Later today they are ruling on whether the flood gates to the marriage altar will be reopened or not. If marriage is again allowed, there will be a massive wave of celebrations.

President Obama has desperately truing to talk this economy up, like he was yesterday campaigning for the guy in Illinois. But the economy in the words of some "still hasn't accelerated sufficiently to break the sound barrier". Unemployment stayed frozen at 9.5% and there was a new loss of jobs by the figure of 131,000. This can't be good. I guess part of the problem is we're not "thinking out of the box". That term so far as I know originated with that test they do on IQ tests of drawing nine dots arranged in rows of three and you're told "Pass a straight line through all nine dots using just four strokes" or whatever. In order to do it you have to "go out of the box". On one Star Trek problem, there was this space ship that was undergoing orbital decay and in danger of crashing and Q, this God-like character who had temporarily lost his powers said "Oh that problem is simple. Just change the gravitational constant." So they used their warp drive to "lighten the other ship". In the case of the economy I guess in order to think out of the box, it's at least necessary to conceptualize WHAT being "out of the box" would be like. For instance with high blood pressure there are ways of going about the problem. You can use an ACE inhibitor to alter the pottassium and sodium ballance - - to affect how chemical reactions occur in the body. Or you can alter the heart rate. Or you can clear out the arteries clogged with cholesterol and plaque that block the blood flow. OR - - you can reduce the supply of Blood. That's where leeches come in. (We won't say any more about that) Well, in the case of unemployment we can do some "original thinking" like they did in the 'thirties by "reducing the number of workers". In the 'thirties this was done by shortening the work hours to forty hours per week. In the case of today, we can't grow jobs fast enough. So why don't we lower the retirement age to fifty-five? This would reduce the number of workers. You could argue that till age 55 you work for the money. After age 55 you now have earned the right, so the thinking goes, to work at any job you WANT and you do the job because you LIKE it and not because of what you'll get paid. It would bring about an interesting transformation should it be instituted. At the same time we could lower medi-care to age 55. Hartman argues that since unemployment would drop and wages for those working would go up, that tax revenues would not suffer all that much. If so we could merely remove the FICA ceiling for those making over a hundred thousand. This seems like the simplest solution to me. What it would do is remove the anxiety of a lot of older people wondering if they were still up to their jobs and will they get fired a year or two before they start drawing social security.

One thing that Malcolm X noted on his famous pilgrimage to Mecca in March of 1964 was that all races were there in a broad mixture all over the world- - from Moracco to Indonesia- - worshiping and going through the ceremonies there at Mecca. I doubt that Islam has the same prohibition against inter racial dating that O R U or Bob Jones University has. It was this trip that totally turned Malcolm X around on the race issue, and from then on he taught that all races should live together in harmony. Of course Islam teaches charity to the poor. This is another of the five pillars of the faith. And Moslems are big believers in hospitality to your guests and being a good host. Of course there are many ways in which Islam is more appealing than Christianity. How much time has been expended debating the "nature of Christ" or the mysteries of the incarnation or trans-substantiation or various baptismal trinitarian formulas or the Nicene Creed and all of that. For Islam it's really simple. You just proclaim "There is no god but Allah and Mohamed is his Prophet". Of course Allah just means "God" and so there is no big mystery there. I imaging like AA teaches it would be "God as you understand him" and not Neil Savedras "God of the theologians check list". The wonderful thing is there is no original sin in Islam. So there is no doctrine of blood atonement. (blood feuds between warring tribes is another matter) I'm talking about the shedding of blood in a sacrificial manner to atone for sin. Islam is more tollerant than Christianity. Moslems regard Jesus as a prophet, but Christians do not show Mohamed the same courtesy. Islam reveres many figures in the Bible. Another pillar of course is praying five times a day to Mecca. The one remaining one was fasting during the month of Romadon, which rotates throughout the year. And there are a few absolute injunctions like "Don't eat pork and don't consume alcohol". I'm not saying we should all become Moslems, but we should at least understand this faith if we are going to loath and despise this faith so vociferously. I think if we understand these people better we can come to an accord. Dr. Levy says that one percent of Moslems are extremist terrorist oriented. That number concerns him because it still ammounts to ten million. But these days the percentage of Christians that believe in a literal fulfillment of the book of Revelations has probably gone way up. When was younger it may have been less than thirty percent. I bet right now it's over fifty the way Christianity has swung to the right. Chuck Smith teaches this war fantasy where on the other hand he'll be safe in heaven from its dangers. We tend to think Heaven will be a big change for our lives. But for people like Chuck it's just doing business on the other side of the street. He still expects to be an adulated figure with his desciples and children and grand children all around him. Basically for him he expects little to have changed. If to condone something is as bad as actually doing it, one wonders under this standard what ghastly attrocities Hal Lindsey and Chuck Smith will be guilty of as they cheer from the peanut gallary getting some of vicarious thrill.

District Court Legalizes California Gay Marriage

Judicial activism is alive in well in California courts. The court in a not unexpected bold stroke wiped away the will of the voters last November when they voted for Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage, as if we needed a law to do that. People like Randy Rhodes are happy about it because people like her say that it will help the wedding planning and flower industries, not to mention new homes and furniture. That makes about as much sense is an electric company coming out for the electric chair because it will generate more utility business. This ruling is obviously a moral outrage and an afront to the sovereign will of the people of California, and crams something down our throat we don't want. But now the ruling will go to the Ninth Circuit Appelate Court, which is also known to be liberal and from there it will go to the US Supreme Court. When you come right down to it it will all come down to how Justice Anthony Kennedy is feeling that day. I have a suggestion. We know he is the swing voter on the court. (Not that I'm accusing him of swinging both ways or anything) So why don't we make it easy on all those married gays who want to know whether or not they are living in sin, and put the question right to Justice Kennedy and short circuit all those other processes. I'm game for it. Of course this ruling was expected in light of the Court overruling other measures such as the death penalty. Dr. Levy tried to blame Governor Jerry Brown for wiping out the death penalty and I explain that that was done by the Supreme Court in 1972 before Brown was even governor. Dr. Levy went non compus mentus on me- - and just wasn't tracking with me on this. Also Proposition 14 which dealt with selling houses to Blacks, was overturned by the Court and George Wallace told people in 1968 that "You voted on this but the Supreme Court says you didn't vote right". Don't get me wrong. I think in the long run marriage is a doomed institution. Our society is evolving. But I still don't want to Kill a charished and honored religious and civil institution. Let it happen on its own accord. I'm not even sure whether these gays got married because they were just so gosh darned moral and upright, but more because some left-wing activist told them that by doing so they could "stage a protest" and "make a statement" that would provide a court issue to be sent through the Courts to begin with.

British Petroleum is still trying for their "static kill" of the well by incorporating the relief well and making sure nothing leaks. We were all impressed by the photographs last July 15th when the avelanch of bellowing oil stopped and we saw clear, pristine waters pure enough for a Disney fish movie. So they would have you believe. Now some federal environmental study has come out and stated that the oil dispursant is safe, "just as safe as the oil itself" as if that's supposed to make us feel a whole lot better. But of course there are still people in the Gulf who feel that BP is rolling up their equipment and getting out of town with a little too much "all deliberate speed" and they say their boats are still covered with oil when they send them out on the gulf. To me it doesn't make sense that a well could spew full force unabaited for nearly three months and suddenly all the oil vanishes. If a pipe comes loose in your house and starts gushing water into the living room, you still have one hell of a problem on your hands after the pipe is fixed. And yet people believe in this "imaculate disappearence" of the oil or whatever. I once had a three hundred dollar check that I thought "just disappeared" and counted myself the richer for it- - for six months and lo and behold after six months the Dentist receptionist says "I was going through my records and guess what? I tried to cash it but the bank refused". And then my problems began. And so the bill may be due already- - but Planet Earth has yet to actually pay the price.

You know, Thom Hartman was saying that in 1961 or something South Korea's chief export was fishing. But then after Park Chung He came to power he announced an "industrial policy" and began building his country up. Today South Korea has an economic life that is the envy of the world and health statistics that are the envy of the world, and also a nation wide health care plan. If you don't like that example, Henry VII around 1500 announced the Tudor Policy- - an economic plan to build up England that set England on an industrial course. And yet people in this country think we can manage without an over-arching economic policy. Republicans got hysterical when the government bailed out General Motors ("Government Motors") and Chrysler last year. You would think they hated the idea of preserving these two symbols of Americana, and that it's the last bastion of something that's actually produced here. Obviously the move saved uncounted jobs. You would think even a conservative would be for jobs. But still there is this head in the sand economic policy we have, where we think that if we don't look at the problem it will just go away. One of these days an economic nationalist like Ross Perot will actually be popular. But I fear that today isn't that day.

Some of you are mad about the Jesus thing we did on the last posting. Some may complain "What was the whole bit with being hooked on pills?" Well as you know certain sleeping medications such as Ambien cause waking sleep where you not only sleep walk but sleep eat and do many other things where your ID seems liberated and you don't remember it. So the whole thing with Jesus is that he comes to us in the Bible saying "Oh Jerusalem, I'm really saddened by the fact that you are going to be utterly destroyed, brick by brick". He says this so plaintifly as though he didn't have any controle over it but is only some "mad prophet of the air waves" like Howard Beale, powerless to prevent the dire things he predicts. Well- - -Jesus is God- - -gosh darn it. If He isn't in control than who is? This whole line of thinking came about from some lines on a Dr. Levy sheet about "sometimes compassion means judgement". Well let's keep a tally- - Jesus raised three people from the dead- - - verses how many people were killed in the two Jewish Wars of liberation? Or let's take Adam and Eve. They were kicked out of the garden as a "compassionate discipline". Well let's see- - -when they had kids, Cain rose up and slew his brother Abel out of jealousy over trying to please God and win his love. As Dr. Phil might say to God "How's that working out for you so far- - ". This is not to mention all the wars and subsequent violence on the earth. But I'd like to know who gave God the power to decide that the life of innocent Able was worth more than the guilty Adam. People who tell the story of Adam and Eve always identify with Adam, and vicariously identify with him. Well, how would you like your children cursed for three hundred generations, or whatever it's been. Contemplating that makes Death seem almost merciful, and let the human race start again, if God is that displeased with it. But nobody dares contemplate telling the story that way. I mean, wouldn't twenty lashes with a cane like they do in Singapore, have sufficed?

I'll do this last paragraph after we eat. Tonight we had a dish that has often been attempted but rarely is it cooked to perfection the way it was tonight. Guess what it is. Synchronicity: You've heard a lot about it, but what is it? Well, it's when two events are separated by space and sometimes even by time, are so closely related that they appear to actually be different parts of the Same Event. It's as if some psychic hand were guiding events. Some like Wayne Dyre might say that it's the collective unconscious of which we all are a part. So in a sense, given this line of reasoning, you could say that we all really Are "a part of God". This is a manifestation of the sixth dimension and like that Court Justice said, "It's like pornography; you know it when you see it". I would now like to introduce or re introduce a concept I had discarded long ago, and it was a part of my long winded notes on that file you people only saw a part of. It's the notion of psychic Ether. I use the term because Ether is seen as a medium the same way that poly vinyl chloride is a medium with cutting records. Only this Ether exists only in the sixth dimension and hence can't be measured. Scientists are now learning to read the brain's electro-wave activity to monitor thoughts and intents. But this is not psychic but knowledge gained through ordenary physical means. Some of you may have questions such as "If hyper light speed is outside the bounds of the sub light Universe, how can we reach it?" The answer is a big "I don't know". I don't have a clue where you'd start to look, but that may just be because I'm not thinking with enough originality or "out of the box". The other question you may have is "You keep talking about controling events on Earth being like moving chess pieces around, but aren't chess pieces, like your hands, three dimensional?" I'll take that one first. Yes they are but they Represent a two dimensional reality. The game is played on the perameters of a two dimensional reality. This holds true even for Knights, which can jump over obstructing pieces. You can't however just "pick up a piece and leave it suspended in the air". That would be an illegal move in chess even if you could do it. We know the "unseen hand" is extra dimensional but the events seen are ordenary three dimensional. As to being "outside" the universe, location words like up or down, in or out, can be misleading at times. We merely know that to exceed light speed you can't be a physical part of this universe. You can be "outside the law" all the while being pursued by the cops. Another question you may have is "Doesn't an orbiting body travel generally slower the higher of an orbit it has. If the surface is light speed, how can above the surface be faster?" Again this is using metaphore words such as "inside" and "outside". Another question you may have is "But do these dimensions ever MEET the ones we are fermiliar with?" I'm glad you asked that. Well, where to Time - - and Space - - "Meet". You can't point to a single place on a map because you're dealing with two entirely different properties. So it is with the sixth dimension. Some may ask "Well if you go LOW enough in sixth dimensional awareness then don't you meet terra firma somewhere along the way?" Not necessarily. The opposite of total awareness is- - - unconsciousness and- - - Death. Another question you may have is "Is sixth dimensional substance akin to ocelating magnetic or some other "waves"? The indications are here- - - Yes. Because brain function is suggestive of ocelating waves. "Could you explain the bit about the upward spiral stairway again - -and the spiral dimension line". The line is an indicator of the direction You - - Each of us Travels in our Karmic journey. I say that accomplishments are measured in steps. Our problem is that we are aware of time, and we are aware of space. But we aren't aware of Awareness itself. If we were, we would know where we're at. The hysenburg uncertainty principle states that we know either Where an electron is or When it is- - but we can't know Both at the same time. If traveling electrons are that hard to understand, how much harder must it be to imagine sixth dimension physicality?

Four Thousand Holes of Blackburn Lankishire

Those of you new people hanging around the door - - the massage parlor is next door. If you are looking for the news of the day we've already done that one; it's the next posting down. I just came from dinner and got coffee. We had chocolate ice cream tonight, which is pretty rare. I've been petitioning the kitchen to put Dianna Troy in charge of food preparation but so far they haven't been listening to me. Today we are going to exercise, so prepare to stretch your metaphysical muscles, particularly you new people. As you know one trait I seem to have adopted from Gene Scott is the Geshtaldt style of learning. That's where you keep going back over and revisiting an old topic, saying it a slightly different way, untill it mentally clicks with your students, or should I say Desciples. I had hoped that Dr. Levy would plunge ahead in a detailed study of Hinduism, as he alluded to. I've been reading things on my own, including events in Indian history and their contact with Islamic mysticism in the middle ages. As you know the Jains are vegetarian. Dr. Levy says that while he is in India this coming December he will confine himself to a vegetarian diet. It seems that they will consume dairy products, and eat egg whites, but not the yolks. The Jains don't eat root vegetables because they claim in doing so you are eating countless microbes. Maybe I'll use that line the next time we have yams. I'll say "It's against my religion". Of course going to India can really change you. But if Dr. Levy comes back from India and divorces his wife and marries a Japanese woman then I'll know it's catching. John Lennon now says he was never satisfied with "Accross the Universe" saying "The band was out of tune and I was out of tune". When did Lennon become so picky? Supposedly the line about "words falling like an endless rain" is because he'd always hear this torrent of words from his wife, Cynthia. But I just learned that Sexy Sadie might be a fraud. Now they are claiming that it was just an unconfirmed roomer that the Maharishi was fooling around with Mia Farrow and others. Just come out and say it! You didn't like the food. But you know the Jains say that the universe was never created but was always here. I have to defer to scientists on this one because frankly I see nothing philosophically wrong with a Universe that was always here.

I am doing this posting today because a couple of postings back, on the other blog "Wheels of Retrobution" I claimed something for which I apparently had no support. Some of you brighter bulbs out there might ask, "If you claim there is hyper space, which is different, and hyper mass, why not have some special sort of "hyper time". "Why do you claim that time in hyper space is the same as we experiance time here? Some would choose to deal with "the problem of the finite quantity" with that old refuge of circles and things repeating back on themselves. I told you people that Hindus believe, as the Mayans possibly do, that time goes around in circles. In this way you could have a finite "created" amount of something - and still have it go on seemingly forever, and nobody is any the wiser. In such a model one could think in terms of "escaping". You say "circle" to me and I respond "break-out". But in my model where the lines are straight and would seemingly go on forever, there is no room for such "escapes". Capish? So basically were I to follow the lead of some of you I would have to say "we don't have time as we know it in the psychic sixth dimension". If this were so, and it might logically be so, then for me it would be meaningless because I'm used to dealing in This time frame, thank you. To speak of existance existing in some amophous blurr of time, is something I can't get into. That's why I said what I said. You can chalk it up to mental laziness.

Einstein once said "It's more important to have Imagination than to posses Knowledge". With all due respect I must disagree. With an excess of imagination we all end up like C S Lews talking about imaginary places and people that he expects us to assume are real, and to draw some sort of "life lesson" from them. Einstein and his laws on Relativity- - -if left to his own "imagination" would preclude any subsequent knowledge either confirming or disproving his claims. If Einstein's imagination is to be followed then All Space Ends at the speed of Light. Well now, that's interesting. Well, what do you do when you get up in the morning? You look at your reflection in the mirror. What happens when you stick a straw in a glass of water? As you look at it it appears to bend. And what about sunrise and sunset on the first day of fall, coming up in a few weeks? On the equinox, day will still be a few minutes longer than night. Why? Because light is refracted by the atnosphere. Light is bent in a glass of water. Light is reflected off the surface of the mirror so you see it. In other words light, which moves at the speed of light - - interacts physically with objects in our time and space. So the question arises- - is the axion really true that "You Can't Get There From Here", which I have often repeated. Is travel travel faster than light that utterly unthinkable in our time and space? The Federation says "No". They speak of what I call the sixth dimension or the psychic dimension as the Telestial realm. So how do we portray this telestial realm? We told you in postings late last year I'm too lazy to look up and give you an easy web link. Consider the example of escaping gravity. What do we do? We launch a space ship into earth orbit and inside the orbit they experiance zero gravity. As a kid in grade school I did not fully understand the concept of ZERO gravity because I reasoned that if the ship were IN orbit than it was subject to Gravity. So the question is how can this Universe be "escaped" and yet not really "escaped"? Is there a realm of hyper-space that is somehow connected with our space-time continuoum and yet is outside the every day laws of Einstinian physics. I told you then to consider the electrons orbiting about an atomic nucleus. They have "escaped" the weight and density of the nucleus. Electrons as you know come in shells. These shells are of a set number and never vary from it. Once a shell is "full" you have to decide what you want to do. This state of being "full" or not determines the chemical properties of matter. I postulated in the last blog that psychic awareness might be incremental in terms of karmic awareness. Back in February of 1984 on the "Down to the Water Line" album by the ZAC we sent people via snail mail, there is a scene of "the four thousand holes of Lankishire" where there is a sea of white and there are these black pocadots all over the surface. And Bones the black and white cat, is standing on this surface and looking curiously and the one hole that is a bluish green in color. This is the "sea of green" or another term for the psychic realm. I first used this concept in early fall of 1976 as Burt Lombard. In this realm Wayne Dyre can have his way and what you think indeed does affect your surroundings. As you know just to review another key point for you new people (just coming back over from the massage parlor next door) that the Universe is seen by Everybody as being a sphere at which EACH view is at the Center. No matter how close to the edge you are, Space is sufficiently distorted so that you, too, see yourself as being at the Center. (It pays to study that other "red shift" besides the one in Ohio in 2004) Now one could say that Gravity is contained by the circle. There is that point of orbital equilibrium we all know about that is subject to Kepler's laws of equal space divisions. But what happens should you (hypotheticly exceed the speed of light - -some how some way? Gravity would no longer encircle you. As you know in orbit evolution as an object gains energy with respect to the gravity of orbit, first you have the circle, then the elipse, then the perabola, and then the hyperbola. So objects traveling faster than light would have a comet tail "hyperbola" of gravity going only in one direction, to the rear. We know light exhibits some sort of "mass" or "energy" of some sort because photons knock electrons into a higher orbit, and then when the orbit decays and it goes back down to its old shell, it emits light. We here are thus talking about a great deal of physicality. Photons don't have mass, they tell us, but they behave like billiard balls shot from a pool cue. Scientists have yet to discover things in hyper-light speed. If hyper light speed is Impossible to obtain, how then do we achieve it? This is where the human brain comes in. Every living thing has Awareness. You control your body like a hockey player hitting a puck. But the hockey player does not Become the puck. You don't Become your body. There is however a connection. Find this connection and you solve the mystery of how hyper light objects can interact with physical matter. My friends, it's just that simple.

Meanwhile in a parallel universe, some conservative was disgusted when he opened up his morning LA Times and saw the Conrad cartoon. It was a giant Jesus looking over the desolate city of Jerusalem in 70 AD. You see the place in ruins with Roman troopers carrying off wheel barrels filled with gold. On the other side is a drawing of the Virgin Mary. And the caption reads quoting Jesus, "The pills didn't make me do this, Mother, you did". This of course would allude to some rage at his mother from all the persistent roomers about an illegitimate birth.

People are upset because in New York they approved an Islamic Cultural Center so close to Ground Zero. My feeling is that they have milked this self pity cow dry after ten years and it's high time people get on with the work with rebuilding. The people of Iraq and Afghanistan have paid a hundred times over in lives as the price of Vengance. It's time to end the hostility and this cultural center would be an excellent way of doing that. Keeping hatred alive seems pointless.
