Straight From the Horse's Mouth

A DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS

This is part of a longer essay by a Protestent church pastor just as southern states were seceding from the Union.  The full text can be found by checking out Rudepundit@blobspot.com. It strips away all rationalization and shatters any romantic illusion or pasting over of the truth of what was on the minds of some people as a driving force as to why the Southern states left the Union.

Right wing response: What’s more, every true follower of Christ condemns the acts of barbarism committed under the mask of religion -- in medieval or American history. The teachings of Christianity do not call for, nor do they condone, brutality or bigotry. Can the same be said of Islam? Are Muslims around the world denouncing the ruthless and inhumane actions of ISIS?

One of the many bonds between the North and the South that was broken by the
Civil War was religious unity. On May 16, 1861, the Presbyterian Assembly met in Philadelphia. Only a minority of Southern presbyteries was represented. When a Northern clergyman called for an oath of allegiance to the Federal government, the Southern clergymen defected. On December 4, Presbyterian clergymen of the
South met at Augusta, Georgia, to establish the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in the Confederate States of America. The Assembly adopted a statement drafted by James Henry Thornwell, a prominent South Carolina Presbyterian clergyman, the purpose of which was to justify the church’s secession from the parent church. A political moderate and opponent of the church’s participation in secular affairs such as the slavery issue prior to 1860, Thornwell became a champion of the Confederacy and one of the strongest advocates of slavery in the South. The part of the Address dealing with the slavery question is reprinted here.

We cannot prosecute the argument in detail, but we have said enough, we think, to vindicate the position of the Southern church. We have assumed no new attitude. We stand exactly where the Church of God has always stood from Abraham to Moses, from Moses to Christ, from Christ to the reformers, and from the reformers to ourselves. We stand upon the foundation of the prophets and apostles. Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. Shall we be excluded from the fellowship of our brethren in other lands because we dare not depart from the charter of our faith? Shall we be branded with the stigma of reproach because we cannot consent to corrupt the word of God to suit the intentions of an infidel philosophy? Shall our names be case out as evil and the finger of scorn pointed at use because we utterly refuse to break our communion with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, with Moses, David and Isaiah, with apostles, prophets, and martyrs, with all who have gone to glory from slaveholding countries and from a slaveholding church, without ever having dreamed that they were living in mortal sin by conniving at slavery in the midst of them? If so, we shall take consolation in the cheering consciousness that the Master has accepted us. We may be denounced, despised, and cast out of the synagogues of our brethren. But while they are wrangling about the distinctions of men according to the flesh, we shall go forward in our divine work and confidently anticipate that, in the great day, as the consequence of our humble labors, we shall meet millions of glorified spirits who have come up from the bondage of earth to a nobler freedom than human philosophy ever dreamed of. Others, if they please, may spend their time in declaiming on the tyranny of earthly masters; it will be our aim to resist the real tyrants which oppress the soul sin and Satan. These are the foes against whom we shall find it employment enough to wage a successful war. And to this holy war is the purpose of our church to devote itself with redoubled energy. We feel that the souls of our slaves are a solemn trust, and we shall strive to present them faultless and complete before the presence of God. Indeed, as we contemplate their condition in the Southern states, and contrast it with that of their fathers before them and that of their brethren in the present day in their native land, we cannot but accept it as a gracious providence that they have been brought in such numbers to our shores and redeemed from the bondage of barbarism and sin. Slavery to them has certainly been overruled for the greatest good. It has been a link in the wondrous chain of providence, through which many sons and daughters have been made heirs of the heavenly inheritance. The providential result is, of course, no justification if the thing is intrinsically wrong; but it is certainly a matter of devout thanksgiving, and no obscure intimation of the will and purpose of God and of the consequent duty of the church. We cannot forbear to say, however, that the general operation of the system is kindly and benevolent; it is a real and effective discipline, and, without it, we are profoundly persuaded that the African race in the midst of us can never be elevated in the scale of being. As long as that race, in its comparative degradation, coexists, side by side with the white, bondage is its normal condition. As to the endless declamation about human rights, we have only to say that human rights are not a fixed but fluctuating quantity. Their sum is not the same in any two nations on the globe. The rights of Englishmen are one thing, the rights of Frenchmen, another. There is a minimum without which a man cannot be responsible; there is a maximum which expresses the highest degree of civilization and of Christian culture. The education of the species consists in its ascent along this line. As you go up, the number of rights increases, but the number of individuals who possess them diminishes. As you come down the line, rights are diminished, but the individuals are multiplied. It is just the opposite of the predicamental scale of the logicians. There, comprehension diminishes as you ascend and extension increases, and comprehension increases as you descend and extension diminishes.

Islam is Far from being a Monolithic Religion

Let’s talk about ISIS.  What I learned new on the Chris Matthews show this morning was that ISIS is not some band of rag tag peasents, but highly well funded and trained and organized.  In fact ISIS consists of former top military brass of the Saddam Hussein regeime, who were Soviet trained fighters.   So really it’s a myth that “Saddam wasn’t such a bad person” because he was a very brutal man who tortured people.  It does force the question of "Where to bad things go when we stop hearing about them".  Maybe like the lepricons of old they just floated off to some mystic land, and that's why you've never seen a lepricon to this very day.  I've wondered often about all of that oil in the Gulf of Mexico after the BP disaster of 2010.  I mean- - all that "rug cleaner" they put in the water just "pushed the problem under the rug" where the oil could no longer be seen.  They would rather do THAT than actually take the time to get some kind of oil skimmer and methodically skim the water off the surface of the ocean.  That's how we think today.  It's like we no longer show the down side of war.  Those stories get burried, leaving the American people somehow to assume "There are no negative stories of war campaigns nowadays.  Nothing ever goes wrong.  Nothing ever goes "wrong" with Christianity.   I've mentioned that riddle of ancient times after Palestine as we knew it was destroyed by the Romans in 135 AD, whatever happened to all those "Out of work Jewish Priests".  Like the generals of Saddam's army did the Tide come and float them off to some magical place where they would no longer be in a position to hurt anybody- - - or are they Still Around?  (Selah)

The other topic of note though was the whole question of Saudi Arabia’s culpability for the acts of 9 – 11.  People want to dismiss the testimony of the “20th hijacker” who is serving a life term - - Al Zwuhari - - and I hope I got the right name.  Anyhow he isn’t a mad man and he’s not deluded.  He has given factual and intelligent answers to questioning.  Many would question ANYTHING he said saying “Well he’s only trying to cast doubt and “split up the grand coalition” or whatever it’s called.  But before you accept this soothing line of reasoning- - consider the following many facts.  He KNOWS he’s in for life and will NEVER get out, and is in fact lucky to be still alive.  He has nothing therefore to gain by anything he says or omits.  Also his responses have been quite factual and verifiable, and if Zwuhari didn’t know something he plainly stated that.   Now also remember that in fact the Saudis were (and are) a major funder of Al Qaeda.  And President Bush protected “Bandar Bush” as he’s called, Prince Bandar, who was the ambassador- - after 9 – 11 when all flights were shut down- - EXCEPT for secreting the Saudi family out of this country.  Keep in mind that the Saudis are Wah-habbiest - - which is an ultra orthodox (fundamentalist) form of Islam.  And of course fifteen of the nineteen hijackers who did die on 9 – 11 were from Saudi Arabia.  With ALL of these facts being undisputed truths - - how then can you venture to say that “There is not the slightest indicator that the Saudis were behind 9 -11 and anybody who would suggest such a thing has to be a liar”.   For Prince Bandar to say that it’s nonsense to think the Saudis were being 9 – 11 is not good enough for me.  We have to consider it a distinct possibility that the sole reason for Zwuhari to make these statements or “confessions” if you will, is just to cleans his soul before he meets his maker, which might be sooner than he thinks- - because some of these Bushies out there might sneak into his prison cell to silence him after this.

Sean Hannity spoke of Brian Williams not only lying over a dozen year period, but also when he recanted the lie, it was still a lie.  He said he lied “to honor a fellow serviceman”.  Do you know how insulting that sounds.  Now he’s lying about Hurricane Katrina saying he was almost swimming in flood water and must have ingested some because he got dissentary.  But health officials said that dissentary wasn’t a problem.  He also stated that he saw a body floating face down outside his five star hotel window in the French Quarter of New Orleans, the highest ground in the city and one area that didn’t flood.  He’s made such a fool out of himself it makes you wonder if he’s lied about other things.  It's time we clarified what is truly good journalism and what ought to be called out as a bunch of Crap.  Sadly these days, nobody knows the difference, or even cares.  I wanted to remark a little about the fickleness of the blog reading public out there.  My blog numbers peaked early in the week for this present blog, and it’s been like a steady downhill ski slope since then.  It is my belief that a good blog should have a longer shelf life than fresh produce.  As it is- - fresh produce has a LONGER shelf life than people’s attention span on the internet these days, and that’s sad.  People have to tweet about every little thing- - no matter how trial, or even pointless their particular tweet will seem a week or a month later.  There’s no good reason why a good blog article can’t still be good six months or a year, or even several years later, for that matter, if the points are well made.  As it is- - news that’s supposed to be fresh- like fresh baked goods, recycles the same stale story for weeks running it into the ground.  What they call a “breaking story” is usually anything but.  And now they are talking about self censorship of the news reporter himself, and if he doesn’t censor his own story, his editors will surely do it.  There is no integrity in the news profession today.  The idea was raised that perhaps the Brian Williams story can be best explained by acknowledging that the military brass WANTS then to occasionally make up some heroic story like Williams did both with that and Katrina.  It’s expected.  It’s like Jesus commending the corrupt accountant in one of his parables.  He’s “smart”.  He’s feathering his nest for a further rise in the corporate ladder.  This is so sad.  People whore themselves out at the present time thinking some lobbyist or corporate big wig will “take them under their wing” and guarantee big things for them.  We don’t have any of the ethics we had fifty years ago.

In January jobs 257,000 jobs were added last month, if you trust the number.  Unemployment is at 5.7%    What surprised me is that the average wages are $24.75 an hour.  If this is the case then why is ten dollars an hour so unreasonable as a minimum wage?   I’d like to see people offer employment around here for even five dollars an hour.  Remember in Dr Levy’s class I once put that forward as a suggestion and they said “You’re dreaming”.  The idea that I cam make more money than I received in a whole week, just by working one hour- - is something I find completely fantastic.  $24.75 would be two hundred dollars- - per day.  That would make six thousand dollars per month.  If I earned six thousand dollars per month I wouldn’t mind paying eighteen hundred or whatever in rent for a decent apartment.  I speak as someone who "hasn't been out in the real world" for a long time.

Now there was the charge that the sixteenth amendment- the one involving income taxes- - was passed “in the dead of night under a questionable vote”.  I’d like to hear more on that topic- - if you have any more.  At least people who want to specificly get rid of certain amendments or provisions like the Affordable Care act are being honest, and going about it by honest means.  But today politicians don't need to do that.  Even someone who prides himself on being a "straight shooter" like Governor Christie- - ranges all over the political spectrum when he tries to express his oppinions on whether to vaccinate your children.  Without direct orders from FOX broadcasting, a lot of politicians flounder around like dying fish.  It’s rather warm in here now.  Yesterday’s blog posting may be tagged as “rambling” according to some people.  There were a lot of topics I covered, and if I had to break up and segment every single topic into its own paragraph, the thing would not flow as smoothly.  So you can call it “rambling’ in that it makes a lot of points.  This isn’t a college essay.  It’s not an exhaustive topic by topic exposition.  It’s rather just a list of “reminders” to beware of.  If I had any sense at all I would completely reallocate and organize my many blogs by specific topic, so at least if you weer dying to know the latest thing the Druanians were up to you could just word search "Druanians" at the head of a blog and find out everything you needed to know.  I could develop readers and loyal followers for each specific blog category topic.  My search numbers would improved if I'd just reliably spell key names correctly.

Sonny Kiriacus was ambushed and stabbed and now is fighting for his life in University Hospital.  That Paul guy had the same kind of O negative blood and donated.  I think Victor perhaps only now is figuring out that E J Di Mira wasn’t murdered in any drug addicted frenzy but it was an organized hit disguised to make it as though it were done by a drug addict.  Serena continues to act even stranger today and as Eric points out, “Downright out of character”.  Since when would this woman turn down an exciting adventure like a skiing trip at a luxury cabin?   Now they have a “bad haircut” way of punishing wayward children and the barbers are in on it.  It’s got long flyaway hair on the sides and kind of a buzz job on top like Mr. Burnes or something.  There was news yesterday, perhaps for the first time, of what Prince Charles plans to do when he’s King.  He plans to do a lot of environmental stuff.  But he was hushed up by his mother who pointed out that making plans for a job you don’t have yet is somehow - - improper.   But I don’t see how.  It’s not as though Charles hasn’t had time to think about what he’ll do when he’s King.

Many people may wonder, and I have wondered it myself, where there is ANY reason why it's necessary to scientifically quantify things like human will or endurance or why people do the things they do.  In other words "Can't we just have the psychological and socialogical stuff over here as a "liberal art" and leave all the hard, physical science to things that can be quantified in a test tube?  Other than this writer, the ONLY people who show any inclination to do this at all are the church of Scientology.  They would say that those "things that make us do bad stuff" the engrams - - DO in fact have a provable physical existance.  And if these engrams have a physical existence- -then the things they ACT ON and INFLUENCE therefore, logically, also must have some sort of physical existence.  Greeks speak of the psyche- - - and at times St Paul in the Bible speaks of this psyche as evil - - - and some would even say that    It's funny how we reason.  If somehow we have an expensive vase out on our patio and a meteorite comes out of the sky and smashes the thing we call it some flook "act of nature".  And yet if we own a pet chimpansie and he goes brazerk (as chimps are in the habit of doing) and smashes the vase- - - a similar physical act has taken place, only we don't try and "explain" that one.  Obviously the chimp did it.  The Moody Blues have an obscure album track called "Thinking is the best way to travel".   That's going a little far but some would fancy a world where man can "travel" (for real!) just by using his Mind.  What if he could travel in the form of an Avatar, an alternate body whom he was just "renting".   Maybe on a planet they even have "Rent an Avatar" like National of Avis- - where you pay for a couple of day's usage.  We know that (as Rush Limbaugh loves to remind us) that Actions Have Consequences.  So to say that our Human Souls are NOTHING can't be correct because the Acts we produce- - have Consequences that are scientifically mesurable.  You could speak of "Intelligent Design" but "Intelligent" ANYTHING would be worth looking into.  Because there has to - somehow - be a Reality behind all of that (some would say - - "so called") Intelligence.  (Selah)

OK I see I screwed up in an October blog posting from “Cosmic Tides”.   I meant to describe a Lee Atwater statement about how in 1954 we referred to Black people as “Niggers” but by 1968 we couldn’t get away with that and spoke rather of “bussing” and “states rights” and such.  Unfortunately I transposed the numbers.   So when I next refer to 1988 it was more than just two years distant from the previous reference.  By 1988 we had gotten more ethereal and just talked about criminals and the drug problem and immigrants and in general cutting expenses to the poor in general.  This is what Lee Atwater was referring to.   Maybe he’s dead now.  He died around March of 1991 but I find it really, really hard to be sorry that the guy is gone.

The Biggest Real Cause in the Drop in Oil Prices

The whole picture with the international oil industry has become a lot clearer to me after listening to Mike Papentonio today on Thom Hartman’s show.  People love paying just over two dollars a galling to fill up the tank, but they have to be wondering “Will this good thing go on forever?” and they are entitled to an answer.  Should people go out and buy SUV’s now that “happy days are here again”.  This is what the media would have you to believe is already occurring.  Well let’s look at the causes for the oil price decline.  It’s in part due to President Obama’s “all of the above” energy policy where pretty much environmental concerns such as with hydraulic fracturing have flown out the window- - and Sean Hannity for one says is a major cause of the price decline.  Another reason is the growing use of alternative energy sources such as electric cars and solar panels on the roofs of our homes.   Then there is the fact that the economy of the whole world particularly in China- - is in a slump, and people just aren’t driving as much or using as much energy.  And then there is the fact that OPEC is wanting to flood the market with cheap oil to stick it to domestic producers, and also Vladimir Putin and the Russian government.  But there is a cause that might outweigh all of these.  There was a change in the regulations in the Dodd Frank law that kicked in for big banks in March of 2014.  Since a lot of these are six month contracts we began to feel the effects of falling oil prices in a major way in September of 2014.  So the banks are not prevented from making the sort of speculative commodity investments they formerly did.  Thom Hartmann has stated that up to forty percent of the price of oil per barrel- - is due to this heavy banker speculation.  Now we hear that the profits on these big banks is falling in the past six months.  Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh are amazingly down in the mouth about the current situation and looking to blame someone.  It is my contention “I don’t have any facts to back this up but - - “ I believe Sean Hannity is heavily invested in the oil industry- - and therefore talks about jobs starting at $75,000 per year for a life long carrier in North Dakota in the oil industry.  Now all of a sudden that is going out the window.   People were joking that maybe NOW - - these conservatives might be trying to make a deal with OPEC to raise prices.  It’s interesting that Bush was already planning the Iraq war before 9 – 11 and Sean Hannity came on the air on KABC the week 9 – 11 happened.  I’ve always wondered about that.   It was Jeb Bush or “Jebbers” as he’s come to be known now, who sent a memo in 1998 in the Clinton administration that “We really need some sort of a Pearl Harbor type event with the American people to drum up support for another Mideast War”.  If the media asked Jebbers about this memo of 1998 - - he would look really bad.   Now there are calls to investigate the Saudi government for their possible role in 9 – 11.  Rush Limbaugh the other day stated that “We should stop giving foreign aid to certain nations who don’t have our best interests at heart” and to me this means yanking all aid to Saudi Arabia right away.

Let's talk about this "National Prayer Breakfast" thing the President goes to and speaks at.  I didn't know till a few minutes ago that they were a cult.  They are in favor of jailing as well as killing gays in Uganda, and actively pursued that end.  The President made reference to acts the Christian Church has comitted in its nearly two thousand year history.  Sean Hannity would have you believe that the Crusades are the ONLY questionable campaign the Catholic Church has ever engaged in, and calls that "self defense" to "win back the Holy Land".  Well the Christian church never HAD the Holy Land and never CARED about the Holy Land if Sean will read his history, which of course he doesn't.  The church was GLAD when the Holy Land was laid waste by the Roman Empire.  John Calvin burned heritics at the state.  Columbus and Pizzaro raped and butchered native women galore.  Just take a look at the strife in Northern Ireland of decades past.  The trouble is Sean Hannity is the second worse Psychopathic Liar- - ever to grace the media air waves.  (Oliver North holds first place)  FOX news wants you to look at this ISIS video everybody regards as a "recruitment tool' for people to join ISIS, and no respectable outlet won't give them the publicity. Never mind the second amendment and persistent roomers President Obama is "coming after our guns" any day now, it's time someone mentioned grievous violations of the First amendment and "The government establishing religion".   Constitutionally we are NOT a Christian country, and of course most acts the fringe right wing does aren't Christian to begin with anyhow.

Rand Paul is stridently against “Common Core education”.  In an E mail to supporters “Common core is filled with Anti America propaganda “revisionist history” that denies the Faith of our founders”.   Clearly it is the right wing that would put forth “revisionist history” that would cut out of the curriculum ANY references to labor unions or sufferagettes, or dealving too deeply into abolitionist history- - and these people in the past have said “We only want history that instills respect for the civic authorities- - which people accept without question”.   If Hartmann is right- - then perhaps my fears about Common Core are not founded.  Because it was my belief that common core “taught to the test” meaning- - - a very limited curricula and DON’T teach people how to think or reason, but to memorize a few specific facts you are then immediately tested on.    Sir Edmond Burk- - said “It does me violence if a hair dresser or a candle maker- - in such a servile occupation- - is allowed to participate in government”.   Burke is a British conservative who was in a verbal sparring match with Thomas Paine.

Apparently in 1982 at the time the Reagan tax cuts were first passed- - the "average rich person" in the Forbes 500 or whatever had an income of 200 million dollars.  After the 1986 tax "reform" this same group had an average income of five hundred million dollars.  At the time of Thom Hartman's writing of "Unequal Protection" this same group owed one eighth of the gross national product.  Today this same group controls half of the gross national product.  In Victorian England they had MAXIMUM wage laws- - so that by law the capitalists were "protected" from workers, which somehow might otherwise gain a little power.  If Sean Hannity were honest- - he'd admit he'd like to go back to this sort of system.  The idea of people like Sean Hannity and Mitt Romney actually caring for the concerns of the lower class - or income inequity- - is completely absurd.  It was so absurd Romney got out of the race.  Today a lot of control "The Man" has over you are from these huge and growing data bases where they know every last thing about you from prying into your "private" Facebook account.  The laws seem to suggest that workers have no "private lives" that can't be pried into by their corporate employers.  Of course in knowing every last thing about you they are in a position to blackmail you in any number of ways.  I would just add this.  People think they are exercising "free choice' in picking from the many Presidential candidates on the ballot.  However if Barock Obama could be so easily "taken over" no matter WHAT initially attracted his supports to his campaign (as opposed to Hillary for example) then ANYTHING is possible and ANY candidate could be subverted.

There are two rather “leftist” laws that have just kicked in in California that’s likely to give Limbaugh and Hannity conniption fits.  One is the granting of drivers licenses to illegal aliens- - and they have been lining up at the DMV in droves- - and 56,000 have already taken the written and driving tests and are legally driving now.  The other is this proposition 47 provision where you can petition the state to have your Felony convictions reduced to Misdemeanors.   Needless to say if this is the case- - then it clears the way for a lot of professions that bar felons such as the medical profession- - and also will reenfranchise a lot of people with the Vote.  You may be putting yourself at risk for disenfranchisement- - even being arrested for participating in Protests- - if they jack up the charges high enough.  Many people don’t think it’s far that so many states bar Felons from voting- - for life.  Thom Hartman claims that the rich want to bring back “debtors prison” where the poor are locked away and be barred from participating.  One caller states “They already have all the Money they could possibly use- - what they lack is direct control over the democratic process itself.”  It’s funny how people can like their state health insurance exchange like “Covered California” and may even like “The Affordable Care Act”, it’s just “Obama Care” they have a problem with.  This was a major marketing failure by those of us on the left to ever let the Media get away using the term ‘Obama Care” as though it was some government socialist program, which is just what the right would have you to believe.

Here are other timely thoughts for today.  The best part of the Bill Press show was that thing on how importing Wolves to Yellowstone has worked wonders for the environment.  The deer and such are kept in check, and the foliage isn’t eaten bear and the deer are confined to the high country.  Because of the foliage, beavers and hedgehogs and the like have returned.  Even the river banks are more sound.  I had Thom Hartman on and he only reviewed the six or more warnings the Bush administration received about what Bin Laden was planning in America.  Thom believes that President Bush was almost afraid to return to Washington DC because “they might be after him there”.  This would make an interesting movie if we could show what was going on in the President’s mind.  I like the period in late 1989 when the Berlin Wall fell through into l990 partially because things in my own life were looking up - - and partially because it was the very last time we weren’t flooded with any kind of anti Islamic or Mideast news.  And likewise the first eight months of 2001 were golden in this one sense that- - Bush back then was a nobody, and he wasn’t even controversial enough to cause divisions or anything that would make the news.  I need to go back and check the writings of this fabled pre 9 – 11 period to see what I WAS saying- if anything.  There was a blog saying the whole idea of drug addiction is over blown and contrary to what we’ve been indoctrinated to believe since films in the seventh grade, most people don’t get instantly and hopelessly addicted to a hard drug, and many are able to try crack cocaine a few times and then leave it, or if they are in a war setting, when the drugs are not around, this posting would have you to believe they can easily withdraw without going through cold turkey.   Pre 1915 addiction wasn’t that big of a problem.   This author ties addiction into the notion of having a traumatized childhood, which I don't buy into.  But I didn't become addicted to alcohol right away.  It took a lot of CURRENT events following hard on fast on one another- - to induce me personally to lean on alcohol in a way that proved to be too much.

ISIS Burns Captured Jordanian Pilot Alive

ISIS today released a twenty minute “well produced” video depicting a man in a cage being covered with an incendiary substance and then set on fire.  Of course the guy was in agony as we all watch him die.  ISIS says it was that Jordanian pilot that the Jordanians were negotiating to get back.  Jordan further claims that this heinous killing was done on January 3rd of this year, some ten days after the Jordanian plan crash landed in Syria.   So the people of ISIS are a bunch of liars in addition to everything else, so you can bet that would be lady suicide bomber is not long for this world, because Jordan no longer has an incentive to spare her. It does make you wonder just how long the President is going to refrain from using the phrase “Islamic terrorist” in his speeches.  It was pointed out by a caller that we give them Korans and prayer rugs in Guantanamo prison, so clearly they ARE Islamic, despite what the President claims.  I guess I don’t know where the President’s head is at.  In terms of whether or not the majority of Muslims privately harbor sympathetic feelings about ISIS - - in the end it doesn’t matter whether they do or they don’t.  Because you’ve got a religion of 1.3 Billion people, and you can’t write such a vast number of the world’s population off.  They outnumber us by quite a lot.  I’m plum out of ideas as to how we go about eradicating the scourge of ISIS.  Now there is also news that Secretary State Hillary Clinton was among those pushing hardest for arming the “Moslem Brotherhood” rebels in Libya, who of course turned against us at Bengazi.  There were senators in this country including Democrats, who strongly opposed Hillary’s action at the time in 2011 and this incident may be used against her in her upcoming campaign for President.

Yesterday President Obama submitted his annual budget.  They’ve made much of the point of its being our first four billion dollar budget.  I’ve already told you how I think this budget has completely lost touch with reality.  There is a seven percent increase in this year’s budget over last - with goodies galore - and to me that seems excessive.  We were doing well with the sequester despite how it may have gored your favorite ox.  The deficit was coming down, but latest forecasts are that we may have bottomed out on our deficit figure and that figure once again is going to climb.  Rush Limbaugh is a little out of touch with reality saying that the democrats are responsible for the financial crash of September of 2008.  He claims people such as Janet Reno, Barnie Frank, Bill Clinton, and even Jimmy Carter of all people, engineered the whole thing years ago though it occurred nearly eight years into a Republican administration.  Rush then claims “When the Bush administration learned it was happening they tried to “call them out on it’ and avert it”.   Rush Limbaugh got this caller who nailed it.  It isn’t a question of democrats getting “free stuff” but rather Republicans being accountable for what they do.  I told you that the Bush Administration investigated Goldman Sachs two months before the storm broke, and KNEW the crisis was coming and did NOTHING to avert it.  And that’s the truth, so I don’t know what Rush is talking about.  The caller stated “I lost my money in 2008 but I’ve gotten it all back and then some in the stock market rise under the Obama Administration.  I can’t think of a worse burn on Rush than a caller to his show saying this.  All that Rush could respond was “The whole rise in the stock market is a gigantic conspiracy of the Federal Reserve and the democrats to find a way for liberals to store all their questionable capital”.  Really!

Mike Papentonio and Ring of Fire was on with this past Sunday’s episode.   Du Pont is in trouble for inventing tefflon fifty years ago, because (only now do - ) they say it causes cancer with something called C8.  The problem with it is that it flakes off and the pan sticks worse than ever.  Frank Schaffer son of Francis Schaffer was on to talk about his experiences with Evangelical Christianity and his former role in propagating it.  The idea was raised that home schooling promotes racism because of their heightened xenophobia- - or general fear of the outside (real) world.  People like Pat Robertson and Jerry Folwell according to Mike Papentonio to feed into the racist stream of the south and redirect it into other fears like the gay lifestyle or abortion- - and of course home schooling.  This insures that the next generation will be just as bigoted as the parents now are.  FOX news is in trouble for slandering people in England and France where their libel and slander laws are not as lienient as ours are.  FOX news is putting forth this theory of the “No Go Zones” they claim that Muslims have instituted in European cities such as Birmingham.  This is where if you’re not a Moslem you are not allowed to walk down the street in these neighborhoods.  The charge is untrue.  FOX is going to be sued.  FOX is lying about something else according to Norman Goldman and that is this whole raft of children from across the border carrying their diseases such as measles and infecting this country.  They would rather take the focus off vaccinations, which they are against- - and reignite the fear factor of “the other” invading our shores when there is “no credible evidence” the outbreak of measles we have now comes from over the border.  Someone pointed out that Guatamala has tougher health and vaccination laws than we have in this country.  Governor Christie first said that “Parents have the right to make vaccination decisions on their own” and Rand Paul said the same thing.  But then Christie had to back-track on his statements when it was learned his own kids were vaccinated.  It all goes to bolster the theory of political posturing, even though your personal life doesn’t live up to all of your political hype.

Finally we have some good news.  The head of the Federal Communications Commision announced today that he tends to come down on the side of an "Internet Nutrality" policy like liberals and anybody else with any sense has been asking them to rule.  More specifically they ruled that the Internet is a "Common Carrier", which means it will be regulated just like a utility like the phone lines.  In Europe they don't discriminate between web sites with a lot of money to bribe people, and those who don't have enough wealth to lay down a lot of cash to insure that their packets get through.  In other words- - they don't do shake-downs on the street.  There were two democrats on the comission who had been pro net nutrality and two Republicans who were against net nutrality.  The FCC leader had been in the cable business himself before his current job and people were not at all confident he would rule favoribly, but he did, thank Goodness.  I know some Republicans have called a net nutrality a policy of "Obama Care for the Internet", which makes completely no sense.  It will insure that there is not a fast lane, a middle land, and a slow lane on the internet in kind of a "pay to play" situation.  This is what the Republicans live for, but not this time.

Capitalism without Government or Human Rights - - - Is Dangerous

There is a web site, and I’ll have to rerun the tape to get the web address for you, called “The ten crimes of Ronald Reagan”.   One was the turning out of tens of thousands of chronically ill mental patients who are utterly unable to support themselves with a steady job because they are just too ill.  Ronald Reagan did this first in California.  Then in 1980 Jimmy Carter seeing this, got the “Mental Health Act of 1980” passed.  The first thing President Reagan did was to repeal this law, and now the figure for mentally ill people roaming in the streets is into the hundreds of thousands.  I’d forgotten even though TH mentioned it before, that there was a secular and possibly Socialist government elected in Afghanistan in 1978 that gave women rights they’d never had before.  But President Reagan supported the Muhja-hadeem to overthrow this newly instituted secular Afghan government.  At the time Osama Bin Laden was studying economics or something in Saudi Arabia before he became a terrorist.  And I didn’t know that the World Court had convicted President Ronald Reagan of war crimes against the Nicaraguan people because of his support of the Contras and their murderous ways.  Our government was fined millions and millions of dollars that we never paid to Nicaragua.   Now the European Union is getting into the act by trying to privatize and “monetize” the Water Works in Ireland.  Water has always been free in Ireland because they get so much rain.  When I was in Salt Lake City I was amazed that the drinking fountains in the city were always running all the time.  Anyhow Ireland even passed a law in 1997 thatr nobody could charge for water.  There were no water meters on people’s homes.  But now the EU wants the nation of Ireland to sell off assets and pay them,  and if they had their way the Greeks would sell them the Parthanon.  They say they want to meter the water to pay for aging pipes in Ireland because the infrastructure is over a hundred years old.  To paraphraise John Lennon though “Keep Ireland for the Irish not for Brussels or for Rome” (because the head of the EU is in Brussels)  My position is ‘Hands off Ireland’ because before the E U began messing around with Ireland- - that nation was not in any economic trouble.  What Ireland is going through over there, Detroit is going through over here with Governor Snyder.  The residents of Detroit have their own “Water Scandal”.  Water everywhere- but nothing to drink.  And likewise I would say to Governor Snyder- - - “Hands off Detrroit”.   There is a new scandal of Ronald Reagan I’d never heard of before where Ronald Reagan fired a bunch of people in the EPA and got his own henchmen in there- and they funneled money for the Environmental Protection Agency into state elections to get his own people elected there.  If you Google The Ten Crimes of Ronald Reagan (without quotes) you will get the web site.   Thom Hartman has a quotation by a Singapore person “Capitalism works best when it’s forced on the people and unshackled from the chains of Democracy.”  (Selah)   Something to think about.

One thing about yesterday’s presentation is that it’s a “well textured” movie with a lot of sub plots.  Some other “bits” that occurred to me at the breakfast table yesterday was the whole idea about selling your soul and the ‘four levels of control’.   The thing is karmicly about “being owned” by another is that THEY assume all of your bad karma.  This is what “those who would own your soul” fail to realize.  If James Dobson wants to assume Ted Bundy’s bad karma - - then by all means “be my guest”.  I would also say by way of warning that too often those who perport to offer you a “Free Choice” most often are offering you two false choices, both of which are bad.  (selah)  Henry Wallace warned against “Authorian Capitalism”.   This is capitalism without government restraint and without common human rights.  But many on the right will say “all of the economic and governmental systems boil down to two basic choices”.  They will usually list them as either a Bolshivic style Communism- - - or what they call “Freedom”, meaning the Freedom to take YOUR rights away - - .  (Selah)  To support an evil person is to partake in his evil.  And I would also say to Neil Savedra “If you have given up all control - - you have given up all responsibility and blame”.  Level zero, of course is  - no control at all.  Level one is the “Courting” phase.  This phrase “courting” is most often used in Romulan circles as luring teenage boys in a homosexual relation.  It’s “doing favors for people” unsolicited- in order to lure then into a pitfall trap later.  Level two is “sponsoring”.  This is in signing a contract with the devil- - (done by your guardian Angels, if you’re curious) but there is an escape clause or prior clauses that supersede the ones you sign.  This is where you get some “strange bedfellows” such as Buffie St Marie being a “Corsellian” otherwise known as “Sector 7 G of the Aries constellation”.   Roberta Flack is a Dallas Romulan- - in case we never said before, because we might have tagged you a Necron.  Level Four control is total control - - and most Jews have “Level Four” control by a Jewish cosmic entity that supersedes any subsequent contracts.   Brian Epstein is one of the few Jews to be able to “spit the hook” and in fact he is a “North Romulan” living in Sirius 0 now.  But what  the EU wants is a “level four” control over other nations.  They fancy themselves as having the “last word”.    There are also four levels of control on web sites.  Level one is “strictly over the air” like a radio.  Level two is being able to start and stop music and to skip songs.  (They usually give you six skips in a certain time)  Level three is a web site in liew of a file attachment- - that’s a lot easier to send.  But the only problem is the web site is good as long as the site is active and sends you to the same place.  Level four control is actually owning the file.  There are three levels of “the psychic dimension” and all three demensions have been eliminated from our list of eleven.  If you included all three levels of psychic contact, plus all three karmic dimensions, you would have seventeen dimensions.

The Patriots won the Superbowl over the Seattle Sea Hawks, which is the last thing I expected.  The astrological indicators sucked with all signs pointing to danger and also “Don’t say anything - - about a LOT of issues”.   Yesterday was supposed to be “the worst” day astrologically – and it wasn’t.  Even the computer was working pretty well.  I turned on the TV maybe a little after two thirty and the stadium was already full of people.  They said the sliding roof is usually kept closed for Cardinals games, but it was open today.  It was the latest Superbowl on record, officially getting under way just past three thirty.  The half time show didn’t officially start till about twelve after five and lasted the promised thirteen minutes to 5:25.  I turned on the light in here during halftime.  I suspect that they tape delay the half time show a little- - to make TV scheduling easier.  The visual effects were amazing and I am left bewildered as to how they ever got that holographic effects- - or whatever.  But as to the music- - that was terrible.  It’s hard to think of a worse half time from the standpoint of the music.  The score started off seven to seven and looked to be a close game, but then Seattle pulled ahead and at the beginning of the fourth quarter the Patriots were ten points behind, and I didn’t think our side had a prayer at that point.  But then the Patriots began scoring and doing what they do best - - and I was typing away with those additional “bits”.   After the previous game- - I had developed the idea that Seattle was damn near invincible.  But Seattle became a little overconfident in their risk taking.  Going for a single play for a touchdown rather than the obvious “safe’ field goal choice seemed really balsy to me- - and is the sort of stuff Seattle has become famous for.  But they blew it on the last play when the ball was intercepted by the Patriots on a touchdown pass.  From then on it was just getting through the many Seattle “Time outs” and not lose the ball.  I watched the trophy presentations and all, and the stadium was still full of people at seven thirty.

Yesterday morning “Breakfast with the Beatles” featured all singles, including all five singles that made their way on to the chart on April 4th 1964.   You trivia buffs may or may not know that “There’s a Place” is the flip side of “Twist and Shout”.   They opened the show with “My Bonnie”.  And they played the wrong version of “Let It Be”.   It would take a dedicated neutotic to memorize all of the adlib stuff Paul does at the end of “Hey Jude”.   The first three riffs don’t feature anything.  And there is also a lull of two more rifts a ways into the song, and then the final moments of the song don’t feature any adlibs except for “A-na-na- - - “ and then the “Nah - - nah”  the last second or two of the song.   They played some singles by single artists.  They played “What is Life” and “Number Nine Dream” and “Helen Wheels” - - the single that was out while Grandma was still alive.  They played John Lennon DJ stuff where he worked at a New York station around October 1974.  You blog readers will know this was during the period when I was in “The Dead Zone” for just under nine months.  I never knew “Any Road Will Take You There” was a single.  I was getting a sudden brainstorm idea for a movie, and to have this song as the opening credit song, to show a sense of humor.  Actually what happened is that Jim Morrison came to Stu Sutcliffe- - with the idea of making a movie about a movie like “The Player” or something.  The idea of having President Obama shot while he was still a youth in college - - was also Morrison’s.  “It increases the shock value to have perhaps not the right person being shot” he tells Stu.  Stewart consulted with John Lennon - - whose wish was that they could do a movie where he was never shot.  Stu said that would be no problem.  I did the main draft of that file (added to the “Middle Class’ file rather than here) before the Super Bowl but then remembered all these “bits” I had left out, many of them featuring John Lennon.  Un-fortunately the Patriots were really beginning to get their act together at this point and I hated to miss that.  The idea about the ten forms of Energy were also done at this time.  I had gotten this idea of “counting” the forms of energy and came up with ten- - and figured maybe I had better get that down on paper.

Trying to Make Sense of it All

Getting all your ducks in a row - a blockbuster movie

This is kind of a “Network II” movie with a similar preposterous plot.  What if a movie were made in late 1976 before Jimmy Carter took office that perported to show everything that would happen in America between that date and 2015?   Only the kicker is that this movie is a lot about the reaction it caused in late 1976 when the movie was aired - - and what the bantor on all of the TV talk shows at the time consisted of, about this movie.  We start back in 1971 with the Lewis Powell memo where he suggested that we needed something like FOX news to indoctrinate the American people with and make the whole media a lot friendlier to out of control, corrupt business practices.  Then we cover Jimmy Carter’s campaign running as a born again Christian. But then show the moral majority rise to power- - and the Christian community’s turning away in mass from Jimmy Carter.   Have the sayings of Jude Wanisky and the “Two Santa Clause” theory he was so ingenious in coming up with.  Then show the Paul Warwick remark about how “Our influence in the nation goes up as the voting rates in elections goes Down”.    Show the Iran Contra affair with its inception in 1980 of Bill Casey making a deal with Iran to delay the release of the Iranian hostages.  Show Walter Mondale running in 1984 with John Lennon’s help because a twist of this movie is that John Lennon never got shot and remains alive throughout the movie.  Because of John Lennon’s influence campaigning for Walter Mondale and Jeroldine Fererro - the vote became very tight shades of 2004 with voting machines in Ohio holding the balance and the “red shift”.  Show the unfolding of Iran Contra and the rise of “Allester Westfield” who was a Liutennant Colonel who testified before congress and was a major demagogic liar.   Discuss the decision NOT to try and impeach Ronald Reagan even though they could.  In 1988 the Democrats put up Gordon Albert of Tennessee, a rather dry whitted politician and the Republicans put up George Bushard- - but otherwise unidentified.  Running with Bushard was Dick “Cheeney” and pronounce it that way every time it comes up.   This is the election where there was trouble counting ballots in Virginia and the race swong on how Virginia voted, and just as in real life the Supreme Court steps in (in 1988) and halts the vote counting.  The Iraq war here begins in exactly in the same way and time as in real life with the July 1991 memo of April Galespie saying taking over Kweit was OK- - - and Hussein complaining about slant drilling by Kweit.  There is a lot of paranoid about weapons of mass destruction - - fear among the general public and talked of on radio stations.  The war starts on exactly the same date in January and the invasion begins on the same date in late February.  Only here the invasion is not halted and Saddam Hussein is ousted from power on the same date, only in 1991 rather than 2003.  We compress history in this movie and eliminate sixteen years just like that so this movie basically ends in late 1999.   For the opening song of this movie I want “Any Road Will Take You There” by George Harrison.  I want stuff about the Y2K bug in this movie only by late 1999 it’s pretty close to “The end”.  New paragraph.

Anyhow President Bushard angered his right wing base by raising taxes despite his pledge that he would not.  The Iraq War was dragging on into 1992.   Have a scene about some scarey mafia types- - pressuring Mario Cuomo he’d better not run in 1992 and he doesn’t.  Instead we get a man name Clyde Weston of Poplar Bluff, Arkansas, and his wife, Hilda and their daughter, Temperance.   Clyde Weston gets criticized because he picks Gordon Albert, a retread as his Vice President.   Bushard and Cheeny are defeated on the Weston slogan of “It’s the war, stupid”.   The economy vastly improves.  However when the Republicans take power in 1994 they have to close down departments and Monica Luinsky (I see no need to change her name) is fingered for having oral sex with President Weston.  In fact they have video of it because some sneaky person put cameras in the White House on the pledge that they would only ever be employed in dire security emergencies.  They show what they can get away with showing on the news.  The event occurs turn of the year 1996 but by mid January of 1996 Clyde Weston is toast.  The Democrats scramble for another candidate and decide on an unknown first term Senator from Illinois named Barry Orenthol, and team him up with Joe Byden, who looked a lot younger in 1996 than in 2008.  All of the music you hear is really from when it was actually popular - - so the latest music in this movie came out in the nineties.  Orenthol is a Black guy with big ears and got elected in the Weston victory tide in 1992 in Illinois.  But Orenthol is a disaster and a fraud from the word go.  He either does this Black jive bit- - or else has his right wing Wall Street businessman profile dealing with the big whigs.  He makes a deal if he’s elected he’ll cut taxes for big business.  Barry picks as his campaign theme song of “Free as a Bird” that came out in a four CD boxed set in November of 1995 and they show clips of John Lennon and the other three Beatles performing this song.  John Lennon said he regretted ever knowing Barry Orenthol because he turned out to be such a loss.  John Lennon also announced "There is a new Beatle composition at the beginning of each of the four CD's in the boxed set.  Two of them are brand new and you can't hear them on the radio.  You have to buy this boxed set to hear them".  The Republicans in 1996 put up Willard Remington and Scott Ryan as Vice President - - a fast talking psychopathic liar from Wisconsin who was very popular suddenly as a legislator.  In 1995 there was the Oklahoma City bombing - - and the perpetrator of that was a guy named Ferris Duckworth who advotated legalizing all assault weapons and something called "stand your ground" laws.  This guy was out on bail during his media circus trial.  Candidate Barry Orenthol, the democrat - - was urged to make tighter gun control for mentally unstable people a part of his campaign but he came out and said 'If I did that Willard Remmington would wipe the mat with me".  Ryan was one of these fast talking guys, like a used car salesman.  He thought of running for governor of Wisconsin but as time progressed tword the year 2000 thought he’d skip the middle man and run for the Presidency itself.  The tax cuts don’t work and the economy tanks and the deficit balloons to an astounding figure of 448 Billion dollars.  Weston ended the Mideast war but President Orenthol started up a new war based on the actions of ISIS - - (no need to disguise their name) but President Orenthol goes nuts with drones.  President Orenthol is associated with torture in Guantanamo prison and of massive spying on the American people and widespread use of drones in war.  There is a reference to the Seattle Seahawks playing the New England Patriots in the Superbowl..  It was remarked by the people watching the movie in 1976 "Fat chance.  They're a new expansion team".  And there was a lot of snickering about paying six thousand dollars to attend the event live.  And there is even concerned about drones.  Meanwhile everybody in the media is hyping the candidicy of Scott Ryan for President above all of the other contenders such as Marco Rubio and Ted Cruise and Sarah Palin, an ex FOX reporter.  (In this movie she never ran for Vice President)  Meanwhile there is footage of average life in America such as going to bars where interestingly "1999" is still popular.  There is talk about getting DSL and how it's a drag to have dial up internet.  Meanwhile people are still listening to cassette tapes and walkmans.  There is this company called Google after the biggest number possible.  They started a search engine to compete with Yahoo but the company got into such trouble with their Google Glass, that the whole company became suspect and stock prices plumeted.  People thought the glasses were just a way of surrupticious snooping, and someone else joked "unless the government does it".  There was a Christian denomination in Orange County headed by a pastor Chad Wright, who was just finishing up a voyage through the Bible in Revelation.  But two days later in October of 1999 Chad Wright dropped dead of a heart attack.  People remarked how Chad had been resistent to "going tea party" and how he preferred to stick just with the Bible and the Gospell.  People said "He was behind the times".  The Rev Wright gave the invocation at President Orenthol's 1997 Inaugural.  But President Orenthol is so worried about the safety of the 2000 elections what with all the terrorism and such President Orenthol agrees to turn the office of President over to Scott Ryan and bypass the 2000 completely, and strangely the FOX media and others go along with this and rationalize “The American people are a pitifully unqualified electorate anyhow”.  So this is how the movie ends and we are left back in late 1996.   But someone does research (perhaps Kate Roberts) and finds that there is a Barry Orenthol who is a college student attending Columbia University.  Then Barry Orenthol is assinated.  And the media is shocked at the idea that a movie influences real life but the shooter says “I was just preventing history from happening and generations of Americans to come will thank me for what I did.

People say there are only Four primal energy sources.  I think I cam safely come up with ten and here they are and then I'll elaborate.

KENITIC (WITH OR WITHOUT GRAVITY ADE)
EXOTHERMIC CHEMICAL REACTION
ELECTRO-MECHINACAL
ELECTRO-CHEMICAL
PHOTO ELECTRIC
PHOTO-CHEMICAL
FLOURECENCE
ELECTRO-MAGNETIC (OVER THE AIR)
FISSION
FUSION

Kenitic is the most primal form of energy- - - from beating a person over the head with a club, to falling dominoes, to wind and tidal power and hydro-electric power this one comes in a lot of forms.   The most wide spread in this age is exothermic chemical reaction, or burning things to get energy.  One is used in batteries and metal plating.  Power generators are electro mechanical because, as Mr Formolo my physics teacher in high school says - - "The power is derived by how many magnetic flux lines you traverse.  An electric motor is just a generator run backwards.  We have things like solar cells in the next one.  We have photography and photosynthisis in another.   Florecence can be either UV or X ray photon energy.  Finally we come to electro-magnetic waves (radiation) themselves.  Fission is your garden variety nuclear reactor.  If the alpha partical releases are frequent enough you have kind of a self sustaining process, and this is known as a breeder reactor.  An eleventh form of energy is "Feng chur string transversal".   This is psychic energy contained in a standing wave.  So there is no "traveling" involved.  It could be said if you look at it a certain way that Time itself is "bent" by feng chue string psychic events.  It's "fifth dimensional transfer".  Let me just say one more thing.  In psychic travel some may wonder "Can you travel through Time"?   As you'll remember not even Superman could do that in the old series.  It takes a tremendous ammount of acceleration G force to generate enough non recriprical gravity to affect the speed of time.  However I learned not all that long ago that atomic clocks in Space have to be adjusted because they Tick faster than Atomic Clocks in our earth gravity and not in a weightless orbital field.  So this is proof of time slowing down.  But you'd have to have so much G force acceleration to notice much you'd black out long before you noticed any changes in time.  I was going to say more on other matters but this is enough for you here.
