The Political Facts of Life

The Mc Laughlin group covered three topics, but the one that got Mort Zuckerman the most upset was the idea of a nationwide popular initiative on an issue.  To me this is an excellent way to bypass the gridlock we see in “Washington” namely Congress.  There are no filibusters or House speakers refusing to bring issues up for a vote of the full assembly.  Pat Buchannon is more progressive on this issue, and the majority of states seem to regard the Statewide Initiative as American as apple pie.  Thom Hartman this morning raised an even more important reason why we democrats should be championing the ballot initiative.  In the first place when put to a straight vote most Americans will support things like gun control or a minim wage increase to $10.10 an hour.  But the Republicans have found the secret to getting their people VOTING on election day is to put some social measure that probably won't pass like personhood for fetuses, or an constitutional amendment mandating mrayer in school, or a nation wide amendment barring gay couples from marying- that probably won't pass (particularly now) but the people will be in the voting booth voting for whatever yahoo congressman or judge that ARE Republican.  So this is just what we democrats need to do is to pick any issue- - medical marijuana or amnesty for Edward Snowden- - you don't even have to agree with it, but it will get our side out there voting on election day, and will help elect democratic congressman and governors, who have become all important nowadays.

There was the usual doom and gloom segment on the economy where some new survey says things will be horrible for the next ten years, at least, with a growth rate in the GNP of only 1.6%.   Now the latest “crisis” is the coming exit of the baby boomers from the work force.  There was some babbeling about “productivity” being down, but with robots replacing humans, it’s quite apparent that just the opposite is true.  Business as a whole has never been more "productive" or "efficient".   The Republicans are living in a panacia and one of these days (when their time has come and gone) they'll look back and realize that 2014 was one of their best years.  I have become "educated" to the fact that it's the belief among Republicans that "They can get President Obama to the table' and negotiate bills if both the Senate and House pass a bill they can agree on.  No doubt they are hoping the President will sign off on this Trans-Canada pipeline to Texas, which they have bee doing a full court press on these past five or so years desperately to get passed.  A who is to say they aren't absolutely right?  After all the President has never come out AGAINST the pipeline but has always waffled on the subject.  He has always hidden behind technicalities.  As you know after 1998 President Clinton did a whole scale cave-in on financial deregulation, and it's quite likely President Obama now will do the same thing on energy production and call it a victory.  (Selah)  But on the matter of the US economy what the Republicans are REALLY worried about is that all of these retiring workers will drive DOWN the unemployment rate - - just as the deficet and gasoline prices have been plummeting.  If you will note- - every speech on the economy by republicans- - if followed would raise unemployment.  This is why they went after the part time worker thing of people leaving full time jobs to get an education - - or why the Republicans do NOT want any unemployment coverage extensions because this too will tend to drive the unemployment numbers UPWARD with more people desperately searching for that job that isn't there.  (Selah)  And I believe there was a thing on terrorism, with a catalog of the week’s events - - incidents - - in this area.  I wouldn’t place a lot of credibility in this past week being at all typical of a normal week.  (Selah)  But of course the psychology created in people's mind is "terrorism is a constant threat and things happen ALL THE TIME and thus you can never be sure unless you have a republican in the White House.

In terms of coded language- Hartman just played the Lee Atwater speech on "coding" in 1954 when it came to race, and in 1986 when it came to race, and now (cerca 1988).   Of course Lee Atwater went to his eternal reward over twenty years ago and if I were writing the divine script, you know his soul would be hitting the flames the minute he died.  Atwater was one of those sinister geniuses of our time.  But I see the phrase "Tax Cuts" more as an anti poor people "dog whistle" rather than targeting any particular ethnic group out there.  People on the Mc Laughlin group talk about the "wonderful tax reforms and simplifications we pssed in congress in 1986".   Jim Cooper (a former housemate) took strong measure to that tax bill. The dog whistle speech now is to hike the sales tax and national park or trash collection fees- WHILE slashing taxes for the milti millionaires.  Sales taxes are seen not as tax burden shifting to the poor, which they ARE, but rather by the nice word of "tax simplification".  This is why Herman Caine was such a traitor to his race in his fall 2011 election "9-9-9" platform.  If Caine had had his way we in California would be paying close to eighteen percent sales taxes right now and the richest of corporations would have their tax rates cut- - not from 35% to twenty percent, but from 35% all the way down to nine, which might as well be NEIN percent.

In terms of these new Ebola cases- I don’t know what to think.  I just don’t trust NJ Gov Christie even when he is telling the truth about all these people that now have to be quarantined.  It does strike me as a little odd that a person who had survived the perils of Africa would consider her quarantine conditions as “inhumane treatment” once back in the States.  But you know anything these Republicans can do to keep the fear going is going to boost their votes on election day.  "Face the Nation" is the latest show to put this "republican spin" on election day chances.  Chuck Schumer made a huge point that if people approached this election rationally - - ALL of the important issues such as immigration, gun control, and the economy, are issues where the American people agree with the Democrats.  Also on the matter of Washington gridlock, the democratic vote is the one to cast, because most of our problems go away with a democratic House.

I find it necessary to talk about the newly announced Social Security increases.  It is 1.7% nationally but thanks to the draconian Jerry Brown administration - - whatever increases are announced nationally, will not be as much for we who live in this State, otherwise known as the State of Poverty.  ( )  But as Thom Hartman explained this morning- - if the new I Phone prices are down 20% and your prescription medication us UP 20%, they will average it out and say "no increase in price" as though old people bought the latest I phones.  But this chain CPI index which the Obama administration was championing for a while is walking insanity!  Here is how that works.  You are used to eating T bone steaks when you retire, but afterwards stake has become too expensive so you switch to hamburger.  Soon hamburger has become too expensive so you switch to chicken.  And when chicken becomes too expensive you switch to this animal grade canned tuna they use in cat food.  Because they claim "your behavior is what should determine the cost of living".  So in former times you had the 20% price offset we discussed above.  But now if you pay 20% more for your prescription drugs- - but now catfood is 20% less than T bone steak USED TO COST before you retired, they will say that your food expenses DECLINED by 20% - !  They could use such crooked accounting measures on Wall Street! - and probably have them.  And you know of course here in California we seem to be paying about forty cents per gallon or $3.40 at the pump - - which is MORE than the rest of the country- for whatever perverse reasons.  I've heard that public transportation has risen and encountered a little "sticker shock" when it came to apartment rentals as well as public transportation rates in many areas.

It seems that Dennis Miller’s great political conversion began in 1995 with a magazine interview and in 1996 he called himself a “conservative libertarian” and said that on most issues he preferred Newt Gingrich to Bill Clinton “but Gingrich is a bit too exclusionary”.   But the thing that cemented his position for the right wing were the 9 – 11 attacks.  So clearly you have a guy with solid progressive and comedic credentials completely flip-flopping and selling out to the right wing.   Right now they are mopping the floor after 3:00 on Sunday afternoon.  The funny thing is that in those days in the mid nineties, I would have viewed Dennis Miller’s move rightward on the political spectrum as a good thing.   But like Tammy Bruce and Laura Schleshenger,  he didn’t just shuffle over a little- but instead jerked hard right.

The San Francisco Giants have taken the lead in games in the World Series and now lead 3 to 2.  Last night their pitcher pitched a complete game and was celebrated.  Last night was a five to nothing shut-out over the Royals.  So for the first time since game one there is real hope that this hammer-lock the KC Royals have on “Destiny” may be broken.  We can hope.  [Saturday] The San Francisco Giants at last won a game that I actually watched winning 11 to 4, even though I grew increasingly drowsy through the game due to lack of coffee.  It looked it was going to be another unhappy night with the Royals seemingly in command.  But then San Francisco kept exploding with hit after his and run after run.  They are now tied two and two, and I hope the Giants truly have their confidence (mojo) back.  I am coming to see it as a left verses right wing stand-off.  At some point after eight I turned it to “Burn Notice” because I felt Bill was expecting to see the show and I was really tired and then I dozed off after a short time of “security distractions” and missed the end of the first episode and didn’t wake again till just after nine thirty- when I decided to go to bed.  However this may not have been wise because there was a party going on to the east of here with driving drums of frenzied disco music.  I can’t imagine what the people on the east wing went through last night- - and I’m glad I had a while building to insulate me from the sound.  It took me a while to get to sleep but I finally did.  Then I woke and the party music was as loud as ever, and I was coughing a lot, I went back to sleep, and at one thirty I awoke and things were quiet.   Paul and others said “They had a lot of pretty lights set up” but he slept through the racket- - as did Loretta, apparently.

I had Richard Marquardt on the Leo show briefly.  The biggest problem with using a flash is that you can’t count on the background being properly lit- and run the risk that faces closest to the camera will be over-lit.  It was just after the morning coffee break that Lisha had a bunch of questions about Wi Fi and it’s transmission range, and I said I thought it was only a couple of hundred feet.  And she says “Oh, like your neighbors around you could tap into your internet?” and I said “Yes”.  But Lisha was visiting her Mom and wanted to know what had a range of thirty miles or so.  I looked in her Time-Warner modem manual for any reference to satellite transmission and found none.  I told her I needed to do some major research.  I checked and LAN stands for ‘local area network”.  Sometimes you have to get back to basics like a sixth grader with a sex education book.  He needs to know whether what he has learned is really accurate.  At times a person can feel dumb for what he thought he knew but didn’t.  One term that’s repeatedly gone over my head is “mobile broadband” sometimes called “wireless broadband”.   Then there is the whole genus of “mobile computing”, which is what they call any internet that isn’t wired.  But they tell you that cellular phone towers- more than satellites, is where people most often get their signal, which explains why in rural areas they often don’t get internet.   And much as I suspected, Wi Fi is in the 2.4 gig range- - just like your phone.   Anyhow I imparted all of this knowledge to Lisha and she gave me two cigarettes.   I suggested that she get back on the phone to that phone service provider- - and ask them more directed questions.  I told her that just like a site (like Last FM) knows me by my strange call letters without even giving my password, that a provider would know you- - just by your ID.

I was thinking more of the year 1998.  I find that an intriguing year because - - basically I was physically healthier in 1998 than I was either in 1997 or in 1999.  It was the year of Judy’s vitamins.  (GNLD)  It was the year of Mark McGuire and Sammy Sosa in baseball.  It was the year of Monica Luinsky and the Clinton impeachment trial.  But alas it was a year I can’t find any VCR tapes from, because I seem to have lost the tapes from 1998 and 1999, though to this date I haven’t done an exhaustive search and they could turn up because in packing- maybe I put them way out of sequence.  I’ve been mad because I recorded excerpts of the Clinton impeachment hearings.  It was also the year the Panasonic tape carriage system went bad and thus I don’t believe I have any audio recordings made since about May of 1998.  It was also the year that Paul lost his jobs with Bates coffins.  As such- - it was my “last year of freedom from Paul and Judy”.   That was a feeling to be savored if I only realized.  It was the last year Long’s Drugstore was in the Buena Park Mall, and often I’d have a meal at Busy Bee and then go and take my blood pressure and it would be 165 or 170 and that would blow my mind, because usually I had a couple of beers before leaving home to get it down.  It was the year of that checkout later at Staters who was friendly, and also a Catholic.  Back then being a Christian was a point in your favor.  I’m not sure that’s the case now – probably not.  It was the only time in my whole life that I met Fred’s son, Stephen - - at that restaurant out on the harbor in mid July of 1998.  It was the only time in my life I had dinner at Midevel Times- in early August 1998.  I remember three directory names for my stuff in 1998.  Early in the year it was WILSHIRE as a takeoff on “Olympic” because the winter Olympics were on, then in April it was PROLOG and in perhaps late July it was MANILLA.  Right about the turn of the year to 1999 it was BADGER and it only just dawned on me that in addition to referring to the Wisconsin Badgers, it may well could be applied to Paul’s badgering, which began in December of 1998.   It was a year I tried St John’s wort starting in early May of 1998 at Dad’s, about the time Sinatra died.

The Drugging, Numbing, Influence of the Corporate Run Media

We liberals are still victims of the propaganda wars of the corporate media.  In the first place I would rehabilitate the word “liberal’ itself, as a derivation of the words “freely” and “freedom”.    You could divide my Chris Matthews watching this (Saturday) morning into the Ebola stuff- and all the political stuff.  The big news over the past day is that Governors Christie of New Jersey and Cuomo of New York made a joint announcement stating that they were going to disregard the laxity of the center for disease control and institute a mandatory 21 day quarantine of all air passengers arriving from Africa who have had contact with any Ebola patient.  Under the new rules this newest “victim”, a woman- who it turns out- seems not to even have Ebola, will be slapped with the 21 day quarantine.  From Christie’s point of view any time he can get his face before the cameras and the press- - he’ll take it.  It can only enhance his political chances to be someone who can be “decisive” and stand up to the President and the CDC at the same time.  But the rest of the Chris Matthews material centered around politics.  It goes without saying that any time the Right Wing can keep things like Ebola in the news it will enhance their chances - - both because of the fear factor of “turn to ANYBODY ELSE as though the republicans had the answers” and also just to keep people generally more afraid to go around people in public, like a polling place.  You have this lady Joni Earnst of Iowa- and in this case with a woman running against a man - - vote for the man, because “At least he isn’t nuts” the way Earnst is.  But the problem is the media described him as “dull” and ‘lackluster” and “not a good politician” where she is viewed as “much more refined than the Nevada lady” two years ago running against Harry Reid two years ago.  Of course the democrat’s name is Brayley, which is too reminiscent of a braying jackass, and too readily leads itself to a political cartoon.  And yet Earnst statements this year have been in fact MORE “up front” and explicit as to her intensions than the lady two years ago.  She has come out and said that citizens have the right to “nullification” and that people from the federal government trying to enforce a law that’s been duly passed should be arrested, or failing that, shot on sight- and that that’s what you need your guns for.  This is the hog castration lady, which tips you off as to her general lack of subtlety so to speak.  And the thing is that Earnst, the woman, is leading this Brayley guy by two points.  As I have said (whether it’s actually true or not) that the media portrays all dozen or so key races in this election- - either for governor or the US Senate- - - as being captured by the Republicans, and that includes having a lady hog castrater as a US Senator.   It seems to be either a Senator or a Supreme Court Justice even, in this day and age, requires very little actual legal background.

Staying in a political vein- - Rudy Giuliani continues to disgust me with the right wing stances he has taken in order to playcate what he must now consider his 'tea party" base.  The guy is a big blow-hard showman in the tradition of Governor Christie.  Now he's endorsing Rick Scott as part of some political vendetta against Charlie Christ for his - - failure to endorse him in his 2008 Presidential primary campaign in Florida.  The guy is like a "boo-hoo" little kid throwing a tantrum.  The guy lost.  Nobody said he had to pick up his marbles and go home, he could have well decided to stay in the race.  But he's like Sarah Palin - - she likes the publicity of politics more than the actual nitty gritty of hard work involved in politics.  Just like Sarah Palin just got bored with being governor of Alaska,  Giuliani apparently got bored with the notion that he'd actually have to EARN the republican nomination and not have it handed to him on a silver platter for his heroics, so called, in 9 - 11.  Christ decided to endorse Mc Cain, who by the way- won.  Christ backed the right horse.  Now we have the contest for State Superintendent of Schools in California between Tuck and Twerelicson.  Tuck has taken to running these ads saying "California schools aren't doing very well so just make a change- - ANY change- pick Me".  But Twerelicson has the background in education that Tuck doesn't.  Tuck was given an "F" of no confidence by 80% of some group.  Teachers back Twerelicson.  Twerelicson actually has a performance track record to run on.  We then come to proposition 46 again.  I continue to marvel that now the latest NO on 46 ad approach is "Proposition 46 is a proposition with other measures in it to "desguise" the fact that basically it's supported by trial lawyers".   In other words- the fact that Proposition 46 will weed out bad doctors doesn't matter so much as one trial lawyer gets a higher contingency fee.  Ideally - - if the bad doctors are weeded out there won't BE as many mal practice cases.  Funny they never thought of that!  But what they DON"T tell us- - that other ads on TV DO - - is "Who the hell is doing YOUR ads?  Tell me what "interests" would profit most from proposition 46 failing.  Huh?

This is Saturday October 25, 2014 and Jack Bruce died today of liver cancer at age 71.  He was easily one of the top ten vocalists in rock you’ll ever come across, not to mention being a world class harmonica player, up there with the best.  Of course I have been a Jack Bruce fan ever since August of 1967 when I first heard “I’m So Glad” by Cream.  I continued to be a Jack Bruce fan even after the demise of Cream in January of 1969 - as did Paul.  "Crossroads" was revived off of "Wheels of Fire" as one of their two last hits.  (Their last two hits were fronted by Eric Claptin rather than Bruce)  Paul bought or acquired “Songs for a Tailor” and I bought the first West, Bruce, and Lang album- - the “Next Triunverate” he was in.  And in early 1981, I also bought “BLT” with the food photo on the cover.  I think he remains one of the under-appreciated artists in rock history.  Of course he was first in “Manfred Mann” and of course “Cream”, a group of legendary proportions and significance.  They say that Cream broke up because of friction between Jack Bruce and drummer Ginger Baker.  I heard about his death coming from Joe’s radio on the back benches around nine thirty this morning.  In other news- around nine I went to the office window and borrowed five dollars.  I went out to the liquor store and got the rest of the pot of coffee, which was so strong, I was able to add water to completely fill the cup- and not adversely affect the taste.

It seems that Leo Le Port has found the secret as to why 3 D movies will never catch on in a big way or be regarded as anything more than a guimick.  First of all there’s the whole “naturalism” problem because people’s parallax vision fades out after about 25 feet or so- - and yet in the movies immense distances are attempted to be portrayed in 3 D.  As Milhaus said “I wish ordinary vision could be in 3 D”.  But there is a more fundamental problem with 3 D other than ambliopia, which me and Leo suffer from where the eyes never learn to track properly.  And that is- - when you fix on a salt shaker on a table six feet away your eyes are focused- - at the same distance in the lenses as they are in position or aim- - at that point six feet away.  But here the movie screen may be fifty or sixty feet away- - and yet your eyes are trying to “focus” on some point perhaps ten feet away, and this constant distance disparity is what gives people a headache.  Therefore they have dropped 3 D in new TV’s that formerly had it.  Leo, as do I, much favor a method of increasing the resolution of the 2 D image that IS there.  In movies this means increasingly seventy millimeter film and being shot at 48 frames per second, and in TV that means sixty or perhaps even 120 frames per second.  (with sixty cycle AC current I don’t see how you can manage that)  But If everything is in at least 1080 P it helps - - and a 2 K picture at double that pixel rate is even better, which is what we are headed for- - with ever larger home viewing screens.

Leo was also talking about ham radio.  I get mixed up on the lengths - - but is the citizens band at around one meter in length- or is it three meters?  This is the band just below thirty megacycles that is the citizens band that got so crowded all of a sudden about forty years ago, about the time I got into the game, at least on the receiving end.  Of course you had to be a bit of a geek and know how to say “over” and “out” just like those old Wherlybird shows.  You had to have one of those crazy handles and know the words for your call letters like Hotel, Foxtrot and Tango, or whatever they were.  But twenty years ago the internet was still the predominant hangout of geeks and genious types.  You had to have some kind of brain power even as late as 1994 to be into computers - - as opposed to the riff-raff today that needs no computer knowledge at all.  You had the Pentium chip, and dial up, and read all those HTML books (hyper text markup language) and knew about hypertext transfer protocol.  Of course you were working with Windows 3.1 because that’s all they had twenty years ago, and it was with DOS 6.2.   Of course if you’re going to get me started on twenty years ago again here is more stuff to beware of.  It was back before they’d even begun that completely pointless remodeling of the Buena Park Mall.  How much countless expenditure in freeway widening have we had during that time- - and often in areas further south along the Santa Ana- - it’s like traveling through a jungle of concrete and seemingly unending on and off ramps.  Of course we still were renting VHS tapes and I regularly played VHS tapes, that I either recorded or borrowed from Dad.  And I was still using Mylar cassette tape them.  What was wrong with cassette tapes?   They were sure simpler to use. There were no I Pods, I Pads, or I phones.  In fact cellular phones themselves were in much less wide usage.  I didn’t have any money problems back then and was pretty much free to spend within reason, what I wished.  And back then the economy really WAS starting to “take off” in the latter months of 1994.  The hope then was a reality.  Clinton really did have something to brag about.  The Twin Towers were still there and nobody ever heard of Al Qaeda and airports were a lot more tolerable to get in and out of then.  I can give you a zillion reasons why things were better then.  Just think of all the people, celebreties and people you knew, that were alive then- - or in much better health than they are now.  But you want to know the best thing?  We weren’t inundated so by all of the drug commercials back then.  Back then it was Bayer or Anacin or Excedrin.  Today you have drugs for everything from frequent urination to impotency to prostate problems, to cholesterol and these loathed Staten drugs - - and these other drugs such as Xerelto and the anti depressant adjunct drug, “Abilify”, which sounds like a Billy-goat.

In terms of cosmic news- - strangely, Jack Bruce’s death may threaten Mal Evans’ hold on his job as Communacations Minister for the Federation.  Because Burt Lombard- - made a successful pitch to Mal Evans to make a big thing out of the death of Jack Bruce.  But the trouble is though he is popular on M 56 (Cremorians) and the M 51 planet - - that perhaps a majority of the Federation rulership have taken an”anti earth” stance, and particular “Anti earth rock celebrity” stance.  So Mal finds himself now in a battle for his job, just like he was a year and a half ago when after some maneuvering - - and support from Stu-baby (who hasn’t been heard from today yet) he was able to keep his job.   Now we come to what I call the “sex reassignment” stuff.  (A tasteless phrase I’d never use to their face)  If it wasn’t clear- - now they are saying that Billy Idol and “Simple Minds” are both of the Phi Collins group (Cassiopian)  but that Idol has Rhondonian karma in his past, but he has “level two control level” sponsorship of the Phil Collins group, which means when he dies he’ll revert back to Rhondonian due to prior contractual rights.  (Technically- - his guardian angels could nullify this contraction with the Rhondonians but they haven’t done this)  Then we have the Palagians - - which I always pidgin holed as “turn of the decade of the ‘seventies” groups.  I think the word “Banal” described their music, but “bubble gum” also works.  We have two new groups to add that came out in the last few weeks of 1969 and these are “Steam”  (“Na – na -  na - na- - hey, hey, Good-bye”) and Shocking Blue (“Venus”)  However I am reminded that what they refer to as the “drone group” (pilot group?) was the Spiral Staircase, with their one hit wonder from the spring of 1969.   One group that is not Palagian is "the Archies", which is Aldeberan A.  However some soul type groups of the era such as the Staple Singers, are Palagian - - and other songs such as "Band of Gold" and "Gona Put It In the Want Ads".

Thinking About Things - INC

It comes to no one's surprise that journalistic independence is out the window these days.  For instance the Chicago Sun Times says "We're done endorsing anybody for anything" and then they come out and endorse Bruce Rouner for Governor of Illinois.  And they stick way, way down in the opinion piece that - - oh yeah- - Rouner used to be a part owner of this news paper till he stepped down a few months ago.  And then a reporter from the Sun Times writes an unflattering article on Rouner, and apparently the next day he is reassigned to covering dog shows or something.  The guy is outraged and resigns.  But it used to be that the news was the news, and newspapers competed with each other for "Excellence in Reporting".  They were possessed by the drive of William Horton on Days of our Lives" and were all Ben Bradley wanna be's, who kept looking for that big story that would make them famous.  News wasn't run past some political hacks first to pass with their approval- - if it told the facts of the story.  Of course way back then, Supreme Court Justices weren't just political hacks, like someone like a Clarence Thomas is- - devoid of any "tellent on loan from God' or anywhere else.  News events, even crises weren't seen as "How can report this in a way that makes the President look bad?"  Now all people read about is either a terrorist attack, or something new in the weather- - or one of the endless "bear spotting in the back yard" stories we've been getting in this area all year.  One might think there's been an explosion on the local bear population.  In other news this Spencer fellow has been getting bad press in the Romulan newspapers because his name is “Spencer”, which is a word somewhat out of use.  It’s an unflattering term that could mean either an undertaker, as one who does cosmetic procedures in corpses- - which is frowned upon by a society that either barriers their bodies barefoot in a dirt grave, or else throws them on a funeral pyre.   The word Spencer can also be someone who photographs food for a living.  Photographing food is looked down upon almost as much as cameras at all in Islam.  The culture is pro natural- - and messing with a corpse at all to preserve it- or “fixing up food” that wouldn’t be fit to eat- - is frowned upon.  Also the word can refer to refurbishing a building that has - - coincidentally - - experienced some plague or epidemic to again make it fit for habitation.  So Sean Hannity has a strange ally in the Romulans, who have brought all of these same grizzly details and doubts about whether the city of New York is safe or not when this doctor waited too long to “self quarantine”.  He rode subways and went bowling.  It turns out that NBC worker who “went out to get some people soup” has been cleared of the disease.  Now some new patient has come down with Ebola, too.

There was a high school shooting in Marysville, Washington.  I think a lot of states have a town called “Marysville’ in them.  This one is just north of Seattle.  As you may or not know, the Federation’s “intelligence” on Washington and Seattle- went down by about eighty percent after Boeing Aircraft left Seattle because the “Skyway” group was friendly to the Federation.  It seems this student was in the lunch room and then began shooting up the place and three students fell to the floor as if lifeless, and others were hit.  The shooter would stare each victim down before he off'd them.  Then the guy turned the gun on himself, as they all seem to get around to doing. So the shooter is dead.  That saves the trouble of a court trial, something any cop with designs on shooting Black people knows very well.  No need to tell you this is just another reason why we desperately need to pass anti gun legislation in the US.  Of course if you are the target of anyone with a gun, then it’s a “terrorist act” for you, if you’re a Placerville cop - - - three of you have been shot.  Or someone is attacked with a hatchet in New York, or else these state troopers being run over by a car in Canada.   So isn’t gun legislation “anti terrorist” legislation?  Humm?  But this shooter in Washington State - - was a freshman native American - - and he shot four students.   We know the Republicans made it against the law to do any research on gun violence by any government agency.  And apparently un Utah- - the state law there bans any regulation of firearms in any college campus- - and recently one individual who was scheduled to lecture there pulled out for safety concerns.

My perception of “news and all” differs somewhat from Norman Goldman’s.  Yes there were fast breaking news events and discoveries.  I was basically in single digits in age when first there was Sputnic and the Russians had sent a dog into space.  But the US preferred sending up monkeys instead.  Then there was “Echo I” that was so big people in the news said you could see it in the sky and we went out and looked.  There was the Nautalus, the first nuclear powered submarine.  Then there was the St Lawrence Sea Way that people made a big thing out of.  And when Hawaii and Alaska became states, I was in the third grade and the teacher made a thing out of saying “You are lucky to be able to witness an unusual event like this”.  And then there was the U2 incident.  And an older friend of mine in the sixth grade said “When world war III happens it will be flash- the world is at war- - and then a day or so later “flash- the war is over”.  Things were becoming more instant.  And when Kennedy talked about “New Frontiers” I didn’t think that much of it.  I just reasoned “Well, if he said that’s what he’ll do then I guess that’s what he’ll do”.  In fact many of the scientific facts I read about in the Time-Life books when I was a little older- - I have since marveled that this was remarkably “new stuff” and this knowledge such as DNA and stuff didn’t exist for in the previous generation. Goldman claimed that he was an edrenelin junkey and that people who grew up in the sixties were suddenly buffeted with a lot of free entertainment on their TV screens that we have come to “expect” ever since.  I don’t know.   I marvel now at how stagnant the music scene is now- - compared to the vast musical invocations that appeared in the sixties.  I pity the youth of today.

There was a spirit of the New Frontier that involved “doing for ourselves” and there wasn’t a lot of place for either superstition or religion in any of this.  Things naturally occurred of their own accord.  Therefore I resent someone like Thom Hartman calling Atheism a religion because Atheism at its core is a Rejection of Religion.  It’s not allowing talk of any magical supernatural being to even enter into the conversational discourse.  And the term “evangelical atheism” is a true oxy-moron.  I refuse to believe that the sharing of acquired knowledge to others is somehow treading on their “religious rights”.  I see nothing in the constitution about any God given right to remain ignorant as some “protected status”.    There is another absurd idea going around that “Democrats need to protest against the leadership of their party and “Make a Statement” by NOT VOTING”.   World Net Daily is pushing this argument.  The important thing to remember if they are only PRETENDING this election does not matter.  Because billionaires won’t spend vast sums of their own money for that which doesn’t matter.  (selah)   It’s also a crock when the right wing says “We want everyone to vote- including Blacks”.  No they don’t.  They are hoping and praying that this national apathy continues.

So – who wants to go back to 1994, twenty years ago?  Back then the media wasn’t so right wing as it is now.  FOX news didn’t exist.  “The Contract on America” was considered a bad joke – not an ongoing reality.  Popular music was better.  Grunge was in flower.  The TV shows were way better.  All of the now “Classics” were current then.  You had more intelligent mind mending programs such as the X Files and all of the Star Trek stuff such as Deep Space Nine.  Next Generation episodes could be seen every night on UPN at seven.  Walden Books was still there.  There was no facebook or twitter.  And best of all Black people as a whole weren’t defined by President Obama, which has to be the worst thing EVER to happen to the self-exteem of Black people.  On the Vampire Diaries last night there was a thing on “Losing all memory of a person in the past- - who defined you in a negative way and cast a shadow over your life.  This is what President Obama did TO Black people.  I made a resolution to Start Up smoking again a few days before the elections, and I think smoking once more boosted my self esteem.  You had the Dead Head hour and Jerry Garsia was still alive.  You had Mandatory Metallica.  Every one of us who was alive then was twenty years younger- and fitter.   The only people who would NOT want to go back twenty years would be the millionaires and the top twenty percent in general who have seen children come into the world and be blessed by these.  There was still football in Los Angeles.  There was no gay marriage, with all of its attendant controversy.  Anti smoking regulations were not as draconian as now.  The “food police” weren’t so active.  Plastic bags were still legal.  Fire pits at the beach weren’t threatened.   KABC radio was a whole lot better because they balanced Larry Elder with Gloria Alred.  But perhaps the best thing of all about twenty years ago was- - we all had dreams of what the 21st century would be like, and were free to imagine that it would be a grand and glorious time where problems would be solved.

Samantha Brady and brood may be leaving “Days of our Lives” entirely.  Samantha as a soap character has never NOT been on the series since her appearance in early 1993 at fifteen or sixteen.  That’s a long run, and one in which I can’ t think of any other character has duplicated, except for Kate and Victor.  Just about any other character has been “off” a good portion of time.  The whole plot is unraveling in this strange way suggesting that the writers are running out of ideas or getting sloppy.  Keep in mind that Samantha had these major charges hanging over her head that suddenly vanish.  Keep in mind that Sammy and Will up till about today were at virtual war with each other.  Keep in mind that Samantha fought so hard to get that house and to control the Di Mira empire.  All of that is apparently suddenly going to go bye-bye.

The Corporate Media Is Up to Their Old Tricks

OK we’re going to be politically correct in our name designation.  For instance Rush Limbaugh was always careful to refer to the NY governor as ‘Mario Coomo” because Jesse Jackson pronounced it that way.  Now we have Scott Wanker running against Mary Burke.  Usually when it’s a woman running against a man, vote for the woman.  Of course that’s the politically correct pronounciation because John Lennon pronounces it that way- - along with, of course, Stephanie Miller who pronounces it “Wanker”.  So Scott Wanker is in trouble.  But I would just say that if we were to believe “the media” ALL ten or twelve key races out there with the Senate or Governors- - will be won by the Republicans.  But the media at large is doing this massive recessitation job on Republicans to insure that they win.  And you see it by the way the media spins literally everything.  For instance the Ebola virus is what is now the source of this “new Republican surge” in the polls, even though the Ebola crisis itself is now basically passed.  People have been cleared of having infections and the past couple of days it hasn’t been an issue, except for media pollsters.  And then we have this autopsy report of Ferguson Missouri.  It seems that Michael Brown was shot through the palm, and this PROVES he was “wrestling with the officer to grab his gun”.   But think about it.  What Black person is going to storm an officer’s car and grab his gun- - and then put his other hand over the gun barrel?  It makes no sense.  Much more likely Brown was shot there while he had his hands up.  The media took pains to get officer Wilson’s story out there- - even they won’t decide on whether to indict till December or even January.  But now they say that Michael Browns “tissue” was found on the outside of the police car.  This fact was never in dispute- - but the way the media is spinning it- - this autopsy is ‘new evidence” that Brown is guilty and deserved to be shot.  Though not one time did Officer Wilson even get around to explaining why he kept firing at a wounded man who was running away and not guilty of any crime anyhow- - except, of course, for jay-walking.  Officer Wilson, witnesses say,  reached through the car window and tried to strangle Brown or something, because the door hit an object and bounced back when he tried to open it.   Now of course we have this Parliament shooting in Ottowa, Canada.  We were first told that “a whole team of terrorists” were involved in some terrorist conspiracy - - or something first at the war memorial, and then inside the Statehouse itself, where legislators were meeting.  Of course the prime suspect has been “disposed of’ already- - shot dead.  The media rather cleaverly weaves in stuff about “increased ISIS chatter over the internet”.  So, am I to infer that they KNEW about this shooting ahead of time?  The media throws these little morsels of red meat out there- - and the FOX crowd eats it up- latching hard on to the slightest thing - - like a leech or something.  Well, the truth is that the election is twelve days away.  Now they say that 42% of women will vote Republican - - which means I guess that 58% of women will vote democratic.  The thrust of this 42% number seems to be “Women feel comfortable voting republican because they feel safer with the Republicans with all of these threats to their families out there such as Ebola and ISIS.  No offence but I hope women are not that Stupid to fall for garbage like this - - and be ruled by that feminine notion of fear and insecurity and a need to "find a man to make them feel safe".

Apparently it’s good news for democratic Senate candidate Grimes in Kentucky because there are a lot of horse ranchers voting for Grimes- and they are considered a good bell-weather.  And apparently at the Kentucky capital building one man was walking a giant tortoise with a sign “Hi, my name is Mitch, and I need your vote”.  Now there is a guy named Ron Johnson who claims that ISIS will deliberately infect themselves with Ebola and come in this country to infect everyone.  But the thing is you get so sick and die so quickly- - suddenly suicide bombers are looking better every day because it least you die suddenly.  Michael Savage delivered a savage attack on those Vets with post traumatic stress disorder.  Michael Savage calls them all a bunch of whimps and panty wastes who can’t take a little discomfort and “occasional sadness over losses” and the like.  Savage just dismisses the whole PTSD problem saying that we are all turning into a bunch of hypochondriacs who reach for medication and can’t tough it out- - and of course the government holds our hand and gives us money and tells us it will be all right.  “I was trained to fight depression” and he says PTSD is a “celebration of weakness”.  One must resist the temptation to wish that something bad would happen to Michael Savage to “teach him a lesson” or something.  This would be unchristian- - and we should not engage in it.

Mike Papentonio was just on with Hartman.  Rick Scott’s fraud against Medicare runs into the billions of dollars- but I’ve heard somehow he didn’t have to pay the 1.7 billion dollar fine levied against him but left that chore to others.  He has secret deals with oil drillers and natural gas frackers, but won’t let anyone see his finances, because he tells everyone they are in a blind trust controlled by his wife.  25 years ago a guy like Rick Scott and his corruption would have been all over the headlines, but the media protects people like him these days.  I still don’t understand how all of the women of Florida think he is “creepy” and yet Rick Scott is still in a dead heat with Charlie Christi.  High priority races for me are getting rid of Scott Walker and this Robertson guy of Kansas, Rick Scott and preventing people like Abott of Texas and Rouner of Illinois from ever getting power.   Mike Papentonio then went on to indict the whole US Supreme Court as just a bunch of political republican hacks, with no sense of jurisprudence or legal precedent whatsoever.  It’s just more of the governmentally gloomy times we live in.  We have this so called “austerity program” and yet it’s penny wise and pound foolish.  Because when we slash the budgets of the SEC and IRS and justice departments- we can’t go out and catch big time tax cheats- so the government is denied billions of tax revenue.  Mike believes that all of this was by design.  Of course insurance companies are finding new ways to continue to rip off their clients- - - using legal loopholes.  A big thing is this notion of not dropping people for pre existing conditions- - the insurance companies have a whole new bag of legal tricks.

The President made a really dumb statement today saying that these photo ID requirements are not meant to restrict Black people.   I guess he said they would have absolutely no effect on Black and poor and youth voter turn-out but if anything these would be higher.  It’s the dumbest remark since President Ford stated that Poland was not under communist oppression in 1976.  Of course these measures will depress black and the poor voter turnout.  That’s why they were enacted, and they have admitted this publicly.  But Rush is looking for any needle in a haystack, and he found one in this remark.   However I am in agreement with Rush that any ideas of Monica Luinsky surfacing at this time would help Hillary as a “sympathetic character” is ludicris.  It’s like re-opening an old sore point with a lot of voters including me.  I wish she would just go away, and just try and state her big come-back (if that’s what she wants) at a more opportune time.   Right now it’s almost time for Norman Goldman.   There are eight & a half days till I get paid.

This is October 23, 2014 and we are officially in the sign of Scorpio now.  I did not post the previous two days.  For me this has been a long week.  My cold, as bad as it already was with tons of mucus and such- - like a Stephen King disease- - turned into a full fledged case of the Flu last night.   Today I hope to get more rest and not be as active as I have been the previous two days.  I got my turkey sandwich with meds and this was my last anti-biotic, which is an oxy-moronism in itself- - with a viral onslaught.  And the funniest thing is I think I may be getting a chronic cough- - which would be really strange.  Last night I was splashing water on my face and head to cool off, before the Adville kicked in.  Last night it was the KC Royals beating the SF Giants in the waterfall stadium.  Even before they developed a big lead over the Giants, there was this spirit in the air like the Royals were going to have a big night.  KABC did not even mention the World Series on Tuesday and I completely let it slip by and missed the whole first game, not tuning in once.  Obviously if a news outlet deems to mention a live event on another station, everybody will turn the dial.   The ABC game shows were on.  Bill turned it to KCOP- then told me I could change it- and I went to “Arrow” on KTLA and “Reign” was at nine, but I was so dogged tired I soon retired.  I slept more peacefully than the night before and woke at a quarter after six- - meaning less time to wait before breakfast.  Today I really did get the large buck fifty cup of coffee at the bakery, as long as I paid a dollar fifty the day before for a medium.  I got my medication when I came in with the coffee from outside.  We had Cheerios for breakfast followed by a skinnier omlette than usual and toast and butter and jelly.  Then Augustine gave me a second portion of Cheerios and milk and juice.  I don’t know why but I was glad to have it.

The Satanic Verses -2014

I guess I am continually astounded by the right wing’s ability to move ever further to the extreme position even when you try and agree with them on something.  This is Monday October 20, 2014 and yesterday before dinner I was talking on the back benches with Nancy Bell and others about Dr Levy’s class and the things he was saying.  Since Jerry Brown’s name came up I thought I would agree with him that Jerry Brown has been no good for the California economy and that this Kashkari guy can’t be any worse.  Rather than agree with me on that - - Dr Levy goes into this bit about how of course California is always democratic because of all of the illegal aliens here coming here to get our welfare and then voting.  And all of the republicans move to Texas which now has good “climate” at least in business and politics and you can buy a really nice home there for $250,000.   I got to thinking how many welfare programs have been cut either by brown or by Swartzenegger and how these haven’t been restored.  Dr Levy himself has been denied a cash grant he had been expecting.  What Dr Levy seemed to be saying was that we in America are socially and economically self segregating ourselves (which is even worse than “self deportation”)   Does Dr Levy really believe this illegals - - and last summer’s onslaught of refugees was even brought up - - and the first two things they do are sign up for welfare and register to vote.  I myself was certified “good to go” for SSI in April of 1992 and these things don’t happen instantly.  I always think of “care givers” as being compassionate and giving people by nature.   Judy is constantly saying how “people” in general should work hard and be morally clean as a whistle and ethically and morally exemplary.   So naturally I figured Judy would be a strong backer of Proposition 46 saying Doctors should be drug tested and have a database to insure that patients are not “Doctor shopping”.  Judy’s exact words were “I believe people have the right to shop for any doctor they want”, and then invoked this Gordon Gecko greed doctrine of “We’re businessmen and have to cut corners any way we can”.   What she seemed to be saying was “The government sticks it to us, so we’re going to turn around and stick it to the patients; it’s something we have to do to stay in business”.   On Sixty Minutes I learned that even if you expressly stipulate a certain type of medical care in your will- - in most cases except for two states- - there is no way to enforce that law.  I signed a form a couple of months ago that if I’m unconscious- - yes I want all reasonably medical measures employed to preserve my life.   I don’t want to die as the result of a “misunderstanding” just like that.   Bones actually chimed in on this specific idea saying that the old man’s wishes for suicide should have been carried out by the hospital.   This surprised me because I always thought Bones was strongly anti euthanasia.  But the way Bones put it to me last night is “That old man had two choices- either death with dignity or death without dignity- and given those two choices the decision becomes a lot easier”.   The hospital gave the old man drugs to counteract the morphine he’d taken on his own volition- - because a nurse said “There it is if you want it”.   The old man was angry that he had not died- - which initially struck me as kind of funny.   But this man was in such a cheap facility his pain management had been so horrible the only thing the poor guy could think of all the time is Ending It - - Ending the Pain.  He had served his country proudly in WW II and had been an active person all his life.  Now he’s reduced to - - almost akin to Dad – being in a situation where he was in extreme pain the last few moments of his life.  (Obviously Dad wasn’t expecting to die, but had apparently told Paul that “I’ve placed my soul in God’s hands” alluding to Jesus’ last words on the cross.)  But getting back to four o clock yesterday afternoon - - I hadn’t been able to get any cigarette since lunch and it had been in excess of four hours.  There were no lenders- - and nobody was even offering butts,  and there was absolutely nothing to smoke in the ash tray, and for me the prospect of doing THIS the next two days- - needing a cigarette and not having one- was a little much.  It’s true that I ethically transgressed to God and Dr Levy- - by taking the money he gave me for coffee and other things- - and I specifically said “I’d never use any money from You for cigarettes.  The last time I bought coffee- - and later bought a two liter bottle of Coke”.   At the time I was even saying “My resolve on not smoking has pretty much fallen apart since Thursday afternoon”.   But what I should have said “To be honest I can’t guarantee I won’t use this money for cigarettes.  So basically I don’t want the money because I don’t want to take the chance.  I don’t want to be tempted”.   Well you know Clinton sinned when he lied about the stain on the blue dress- and Hillary kept talking about a right wing conspiracy.  Yes these sins of lying look really bad- - but it isn’t the end of the world and such sins are forgivable.  At any rate I postponed the decision after dinner.  We had roast beef and mashed potatoes and gravy with carrots.  The meat slices were thicker than usual, but there were no seconds.  We had applesauce for desert, which annoyed me, because they never put cinnamon in it.  So at some point after dinner me and Glen went over to the liquor store and bought cigarettes.  Then I went to Glen’s room and got an extra strong amount of instant coffee- - and ended up giving him eight cigarettes out of the pack, four for yesterday and four for just now.  Apparently one of the cats got stuck in the building last night running up and down the halls with all of the doors closed.  Nancy Bell says that’s why they don’t allow cats for pets here because the Health Department comes along and talks about flea born diseases.

Yesterday [Saturday] morning around nine I got around to watching Chris Matthews and had some buffering problems. I think it was Thursday’s and not Friday’s show from dates mentioned- and it was the “All Ebola all the time” show. I salute the Mc Laughlin Group for never falling into that trap. Last night they talked about “BRICS”, or Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. Pat Buchannon says the whole quintette is farsical because the five nations have nothing in common except that they are “rebelling against the Western powers” , which is something an egocentric person would say. They also mused rather an extensive corporate reform of income tax regulations would be tackled by the “lame duck” congress – and the way they hyped the thing up- they had me believing it was a certainty - - and that everybody wanted to do it. But later odds were downgraded to 50 – 50. But to return to Chris Matthews on the second broadcast- - I watched at least two long segments, and these were on how touch it will be for the Democrats to keep control of the US Senate. They had maps and everything and it’s not encouraging but I refuse to give up hope, because basically- - if the Republicans DO control the senate then that WILL seal their doom as a “Do nothing party and congress”.

Right now on Breakfast with the Beatles they are playing the all time most performed song among Romulans, “Things we said Today” preceded by another old Romulan folk song “Can’t Buy Me Love”. Carmen reminded me that I’m going to have to break down and start buying cigarettes- and as of last Thursday afternoon my anti smoking campaign is pretty much a thing of the past, though smoking rates are still way down from “Normal”. “I Dig Love” is one of my favorite tracks from “All Things Must Pass” and it’s one song I actually like all the resonance on. Of course I associate that song with Valerie M from April of 1971. Last night for dinner it was kind of one of your spaghetti type tomato based and ground beef and tube pasta dishes, with corn and a green salad. We had tapioca pudding for desert. After this I got a bad case of the chills - - I did get my medication from Donnie at the med room and also got instant coffee from Glen. He was not happy I didn’t have cigarettes for him but I’d thought I’d made it ampelly clear throughout the day that I was out of cigarettes. Oh, now it's the Beatles version of “Berry Town” - - “Tell Me What You See”. There is the most minor of labeling errors on that “Red Album” of ours where I say that it’s the “Let it be - Naked” version of “Don’t Let Me Down” and not the KMET bootleg version- - which it is, I am informed. “Naked” is a faster version. KLOS played the George “Hare Krishna” version of “It Don’t Come Easy”. On Sirius A, I notice they pronounce it “I-bola” with a long I. They do kind of a cockney accent for a lot of words anyhow. I did not type in Word yesterday and I did not post yesterday. My cigarette tally for the day remains at two, which trails most recent days lately for 10:30 in the morning. They are still doing construction in that hall bathroom even on a Sunday. Dr Levy, lamentably, never showed up. This means of the past eight weekends, Dr Levy has been here one weekend, which of course was two weeks ago.

I am getting ready for one of my new “scripture revelations” I intend to call “The Satanic Verses – 2014”.   Part of the reason why this material has not been used before is because Jim Morrison once told me personally that King David in the Bible never had that affair with Bathsheba.  The whole thing was just a fabricated story to teach on the values of sin and making a clean repentence and not covering up your fowl deeds.  But the other view, which Bones subscribes to is that yes David certainly DID have the affair and it is kind of a central event in this little “Little Shop of Halloween Horrors” plot.

I’ll do my best to summarize this “Scripture” without engaging in excessive “Bible-speak”.   David as a young man saw King Saul and lusted after his job and his heart would burn with envy every time he’d play the lyre for him and see the King decked out in his Royal appearal.  People around King Saul saw that this continual eyeing of him by David was getting to him.  David would watch him and ‘study’ him the way you study a book.  It was less that he admired the King - - than that he wanted to Be the king.  One time King Saul in a fit of paranoid rage threw his dagger at David – and missed.  Saul’s court said of the King “Yes, he’s in rocky mental shape right not but he’ll pull out of it - - he has to”.   One time when King Saul was relieving himself in a cave David came upon him.  He thought of slaying the King right then and there- - or at least to make his presence known right then in an intimidating fashion wielding his big sword about, that he’d captured from Goliath.  (David’s actual Hebrew name is unpronounceable to foreigners)  David was an Ephrathite, of the house of Ephrath (though don’t go for looking for a table of Ephrathite geniology in the Bible)  David went back outside but he didn’t go far.  He mused over what to do- considering his alternatives.  Some Philistine troops happened by who did not recognize David.  Since David had blue eyes they did not suspect David of being a Caananite.  (their term)  David said to them “Are you looking for someone” and they responded “We are looking for King Saul.  Do you happened to know where we might find him”.  David said “I think he went that way (points) pointing to some nearby caves.  When David learned of King Saul’s death he said to the Philistines “Let it not be said that the King was slain while relieving himself.  Come and let us move his body into the open field stained with much blood of battle already”.  And the Philistines agreed to it.  Now in the course of time- - Bathsheba reminded David- - - now King, that he had made a solemn oath to her that her son would sit on the throne-  “This is the very seed by which you first gained access to me and for which I made you swear an oath”.   David acknowledged her remark.  However Adonijah, the rightful heir to the throne, being the oldest surviving legitimate son- - took exception to this edict as did Joab his chief general.  Therefore David gave an order that Joab be slain in a treacherous manner for some vague sin of decades ago - - and also Shimmai - - who had taunted David upon his retreat across the Jordan.  For David told his son Issa “When you forgive someone- - you have the God-given right to retract that forgiveness at any time in the future for any reason you desire- - for it was freely given and therefore may be freely retracted”.  So Shimmai was also slain.  Last of all when Issa the son of David ascended to the throne, he had Adonijah killed.  (Adonijah means “My Lord is Jehovah")  Now the reign of Issa did not last long for there had been war continually in the House of David and there was war continually in the Household of Issa- - and the land descended into chaos.  Now there was a young man- still a youth- - named Jehosaphat- - who set about with much planning to one day become King of the land.  (right here the text leaves off)   We next join up with the text after Issa dies in another incarnation in the town of Tyannus in what is now Asia Minor.  And the man who was Issa exaulted himself and said “I am the incarnation of the Sun god, Apollo- the Unconquered Sun”.  And he made other statements to the Lord Krishna.  He said that “One day in the lands to the East- people will serve me and not you, my Lord Krishna.”  And Issa went on to extol his superiority saying “All who came before or after me are thieves and robbers.  I am the Door.  I am the embodiment of Truth.  I am the embodynent of Time itself.  The hands of the clock don’t move without my permission”.  Not a sparrow falls to earth without my leave.  The Lord Krishna said to him “Many good warriers have come before me, but you say you are unique?”.  Issa said to Krishna “Behold even now Judas the Twin is in India spreading my Gospel.  He is a Syrian, and one day Syria shall rise to be a great and powerful nation”.   The Lord Krishna said to Issa “Great men come to know the ways of War.  Still greater men come to know the ways of Peace”.  This angered Issa who stated, “Lo, I am greater than John the Baptist, who prophesied of the coming of the Kingdom of God.  I am greater than Judas of Galilee.  I am greater than Jesus Barrabas, who escaped judgement for his many crimes- - among these being claiming the ability to pull down the Temple at Jerusalem.  I am greater than Jeshuah ("Yeshuah" pre 1400 AD), who preached abstinence from war and conflict.  I am greater than them all.  Behold I am everything but not Everything is Me.  Behold I hold the keys to the Kingdom of heaven- - and nothing is recorded as even happening unless I allow it.  And after me- - the Pater will come- - to teach men in the ways of all Truth.”   Then the Lord Krishna said to Issa  “John the Baptist prophesied impartially the message I gave him.  Jesus Barrabus was a man of war all his life – and a warrier he’ll always be.  Yeshua was a man of peace.  But you are a man neither of war nor of peace.  You breech the peace any opportunity you get- - yet you will not defend a just cause that a warrier fights for.  In your cowardess to be neither a pacifist or a true warrier- - you are a nothing- - and I will spew you out of my mouth”.

Tea Party Dreams Not from their Fathers

In the six short months since the author of Washington's Blog wrote the depressing article, "Welcome to Terminus", we’ve seen men beheaded on Youtube videos by terrorists no one had ever heard of at the beginning of this year. Somehow a ragtag band of 30,000 Muslim terrorists, using American military equipment supplied to fight Assad in Syria and taken from the Iraqi Army when they turned tail and ran away, have been able to defeat 600,000 Iraqi and Kurd fighters with air support from the vaunted U.S. Air Force. Syria, Iraq, Libya, and Afghanistan descend into never ending religious based warfare. We’ve even had passenger planes mysteriously disappear in Asia with no trace. What we see then is a literal sea of bad news all of us are drowning in, and wish somebody out of somewhere would throw us a life line. Many of a religious bent used to say (and perhaps still do) that some Antichrist type personage will employ just such an oppertunity to suddenly appear on the scene "from out of a small party" as the book of Daniel states. The trouble with the right wing is that this victor they are so relishing means virtually nothing of a republican takeover of the US Senate. All it will mean is MORE gridlock and the media airwaves saturated with the Impeachment hearing on President Obama. I confronted a right winger today of "What sort of a candidate could your side Possible put up to run in 2016 that the majority of the American people wouldn't be completely turned off by? IF these people care to be honest and think about it for two seconds, they will realize it's a delema they can't solve.

People don't necessarily get their conservative wet dreams from their fathers.  George Romney was a decent, honest person.  Mitt Romney is a crook.  Dad was a liberal and so Paul didn't in any way pick up his far right conservative doctrines from him.  Pastor Mark's own son boasted from the pulpet that "I am much more of a hard-ass than my father was".  One right winger reasons in her heart "Well - - I've met Mitt Romney and looked into his eyes and know he'd never cheat people in a business situation or ever pay below minimum wage".   However most people would not cross the street in heavy traffic in the middle of the block, but that fact does not prevent cities from enacting Jaywalking statutes.  How would a Judy respond to these charges against Governor candidate Rouner of Illinois - - about mismanaged nursing homes and a woman dies "who's fallen for the eighteenth time".  People who are secretly in love with sin will engage in the most amazing verbal gymnastics in order to justify it.  (Selah)  Not to sound Biblical or anything but "It's one thing to be treated fairly and with a certain ammount of compassion going up, and thus decide to treat succedding generations in like manner.  But how much a better thing is is to be treated unfairly in your Youth and say to yourself 'I will not treat my posterity as my fathers treated me, but will deal with them with compassion and fairness."  But now the evil man says in his heart "I was dealt with fairly, and my own father was forebearent with me in my youth in the years growing up.  But now I will show him and all the rest of them to be fools and be the most evil, hard hearted SOB to come down the pike".  But as bad as Romney was- - Governor Christie is worse, because he screwed Romney over.  President Obama owes his 2012 election victory to Hurricane Sandy.  Remember I told you that when the Demogogue comes along as would be Saviour - - that he may have managed and moved the chess pieces around ahead of his arrival- - to make it more than difficult for the people, the proletariat, to resist the "Message of Hope" once it's offered, even if one were so inclined.  In Christianity, always deal with this proletariat - the "worker bees" and never with the Drones.  These are the Pullet Beauro- - who make the rules the rest of us have to live by but exempt themselves from these Rules.  (Selah)

Alright, Ron Clane (?) who was some executive assistant to both Al Gore and Joe Byden and a venture capitalist- - was hand picked by President Obama to serve as the official Ebola Czar. That’s pretty tacky, that we need a czar, considering how past ones have been joked about. And Sean does well to point out that this one lacks ANY medical background at all, so what the hell is the point? Of course the thing right wingers are saying now is that Obama wants to do nothing to prevent the spread of the virus “because liberals believe that White people should be dragged down to the level of Africans and partake of their misery”. And then after ignoring the problem, which by now will have grown to the crisis stage, the President can assume dictatorial powers borrowing from the adabe of Ron Emanuel of “Never let a good crisis go to waste”. (Selah) In other unpleasant news for tea baggers the Dow Jones Industrials were up 263 points and the NASDAC was up 41 points, and both of those are good showings and make me look good- - in light that few people took my bullish view expressed a few days ago. But according to Judy the rise in stock prices doesn’t represent an increase in efficiency or productivity. I maintain that is JUST what it represents. Were it not for the high efficiency of today’s low paid employees, it wouldn’t be possible.

Let’s start off this Friday the 17th by discussing the lengthly phone call with Paul and Judy as it pertains to political matters. Every day you learn something new about how they think. They’re against proposition 46 because “First of all it’s an insult to a good doctor who has little enough time with his busy schedule as it is, to go off and get tested for drugs. After all the government has so many requirements on everybody already. And things like databases costs money and we’re against anything involving [costing] money. And as to the matter of the pay out cap it’s like this “Business are so hard pressed to eek out a profit anyhow so if they have to resort to unfair measures to do that, then that’s just too bad.” And they are against proposition ONE because saving water “costs money”, which rules the idea out. They take pride in voting down these clean water bonds because if it involves going into debt, even at zero percent, then it’s just too much. And of course anything involving another layer of beaurocracy is bad so proposition 45 is out. And proposition 47 is a NO for them because “I imagine if I were law enforcement I wouldn’t like the revolving door policy”. The fact that Law Enforcement is FOR this measure is immaterial. Many propositions were ther letters of the alphabet. In terms of the war on ISIS Judy agrees with Rush apparently that the bombing campaign is useless because “We shouldn’t have gotten out of Iraq in 2008 to begin with”. I pointed out to her that Obama did not just decide one day to “Pull the troops out of Iraq” Judy then went on to criticize the whole principle of the military being under civilian supreme command or that the voters’ opinions on the war should be listened to. When I tried to be encouraging and spoke of some hypothetical “candidate who appeals to the public” Judy attacked that too saying that we have enough “appealing” candidates and what we need is candidates who tell us MORE of what we DON’T want to hear. She then launched into her Biblical pitch about how all mankind is sinful and in need of a redeemer. I tried to summarize her remarks in saying “Then you say in America we get the office holders we deserve”. She had no response. Paul took a different tack saying that “Dropping bombs means something at least is being done” and how we should honor our leaders like the Bible says. Judy then talked about the founding fathers and how they didn’t “Honor’ the King of England.

After the coffee break this afternoon I looked up the chronology of events in the 9 – 11 attacks in this country because I wanted to know the “official record”.  Of course the two flights that hit the twin towers originated in Boston.  Both flights were headed for Los Angeles, and both sets of hijackers were armed with knives and mace, but not firearms, which makes me wonder why people didn’t put up more resistence, and the narrative is very sketchy as to just how they gained entry to the cockpit or what happened to the pilots.  Flight 11 was the first to take off and hit the North Tower around 8:40 AM and Flight 105 took off later and the decision to turn to New York for it seemed to be a quicker one with less elapsed time.  If NORAD delayed in responding to the first flight (they weren’t even notified immediately) I see no excuse for not responding to the second threat.  The South Tower was hit on the 75th floor and went down more quickly in just under an hour.  This would be about 7:00 our time.  The North tower was thus standing a fair amount longer before it fell at maybe 10:35 their time.  The south tower was hit maybe 9:02 AM.  Bush was aware of the first building hit at nine o clock.  Very soon after this, Bush was notified in Sarasota, Florida at 9:04 PM of the second attack attack, and claims “It was a twin engine private plane”.   So the President was reading to the children till 9:15 when he broke off doing that.  The strangest thing is this operation was being planned over a period of years, and they have testimony on this, and somehow the US never suspected.

None of those “dead people” have much to say to me these days. The only cosmic news is that the word “Jor” as in “Zhor” (meaning spreading build-up) as the Reigelians pronounce it, refers to a generic “beach” or sandbar or river bank in much of the Reigelian territories- - but on the South Sea on Reigel VI, the Sixers do not use this term but have a much less “generic” term for a “beach” with more of a party connotation.  I am informed that Wyamia Bay in Ventura is not the only place that imports sand, but they do the same thing on the south shore of the south sea on Reigel VI.   Bill has left the room.  If I didn’t know better I’d think the AC was on.  Believe it or not it is on, and that’s a bad thermal miscue.  I wanted to talk about “Tears for Fears” because there was one song on KOST this morning I remember that I’d forgotten about. “Tears for Fears” cosmically is the same Alpha Virgo star that “Radio Head” is a member of- - who have some association with the Rizzonians. I learned that the Taccomans have a closer relation with the Asberry Park group- - - then they do with other groups in their own “Cassiopian star system”, if your curious. I remember a long time ago - - maybe early ‘90’s I was confused about this.
