Jehovah God is the Least "Pro-Life" Character in the While Bible

I was going to speak on the topic of "What we need today is a prophet - not a Monday Morning Quarterback".   Clearly when it comes to warnings and "seeing the consequences of Actions- - the Liberals have proven themselves with a much better prophetic or predictive track record than conservatives such as Rush Limbaugh or Glen Beck, who are almost always completely wrong.  Conservatives are far too inclined to say"Listen to what I'm saying - - Right this minute" with no Historic track record in the past, and their projections of the Future are completely useless.  The Bible is great at playing the "See - I told you so" game.  We are told of countless prophecies of doom in the OT and elsewhere - - and cities were destroyed.  But I was thinking "Just once wouldn't it be nice to actually tell us something that is Going to happen that Hasn't Happened Yet".  Even in the NT - - Jesus curses the Jewish Temple and it is destroyed- - and tells all those cities around the Sea of Galilee that "It will be more tollerable on the Last Day for Sodom and Gamorah than for you".   Jesus spares no invectives!   He speaks of "Being Thrown to Hell" with a giant millstone around your neck, or whatever.  Back in High School when I was in Dick Schimmel's Sunday school class, which I've referred to before I mentioned 'I think God should send another Messiah (or Prophet) to speak to us directly to the Issues of our time".  This remark did not go over well.  As I said a while back on my reflections on Islam- - it seems that we much prefer a dead relic whom we can mythologise, like Ronald Reagan- - than a Living Prophet, and I asked "Why is that?"  Of course- - there is a major AXIOM in religion that "supernatural stuff doesn't go on like that now".  And there are other things that "Don't occur now" that is- - in the Present Time- - where we live.   God never "Updates his Word" - - because his "Word" was established and "finished" when the Council of Nicia invented the Holy Trinity in the fourth century.  Because after all they LOVE that single line in scripture "When the Perfect comes, the Imperfect will pass away".  These people above all view God's manifestations to mankind as IMPERFECT.  The only 'Perfect" thing they believe in is THEMSELVES!  (Selah)  So often the most ardent deniers of any supernatural gifts such as Tongues, or Prophecy, or Healings,  Interpertation of Tongues, or Casting out of Demons- - the most ardent deniers are often the most Pious Legalists such as Walter Martin- - who says "The office of Prophet was abolished by Christ" or Messers Swendoll and Mc Arthur- - who are into legalism up to their ass.  If you were to say to them "I want to see a sign from God that the things you say are Right" they would probably pop a blood vessel.  Another thought that hit me last night was "I wish we would expend more time actually Explaining things - - - rather than what we enjoy "Explaining things Away".   I told you I am an Objectivist- - meaning that externally caused Problems and Moral delemas- - really do exist.  The whole world cannot be explained in psychiatric terms of "personality perception" or "mental issues" as though the whole world were perfect and needed no corrective measures- - it's just All In Our Minds.  I think this just might be one of the fundamental things that separates liberals- - who see Problems as External- - rather than a Conservative- - who would deny that any External problems of society NEED fixing.

But then I heard John Fugelsang's proclamation this morning that JEHOVAH IS ONE OF THE LEAST PRO LIFE PEOPLE IN THE ENTIRE BIBLE and it got me to thinking.   I'm trying to think of one time that God has ever said "This is too much awful carnage and horrible loss of human life".  Commander Spock on Star Trek gets more emotional about the massive loss of human life than Jehovah God does.  In fact when you hear things like "man began to multiply over the earth" it's roll the kettle drum time- - because God has to send a Flood or something to wipe everybody out.  And of course we all know that even Sex is seen as the Original Sin by many old time Evangelists- - because "Adam did not Know his wife" till after he ate the forbidden fruit.  Why is that?   I knew that Jehovah God was soft on the abortion issue because the Law states if you strike a pregnent woman so that her fetus dies- - you only need to pay her a sun of money.   But John Fugelsang pointed out other scripture where apparently during massive vengeful carnage- - and women were slaughtered and their bellies were ripped open and the fetuses killed.  Also this magic potion you give your wife if you suspect her of being unfaithful- - that causes her lady parts to shrivel and the baby to be aborted and she can never reproduce again.  Of course we have David with an attitude twords revenge that only causes Samantha Brady to look on in awe and wonder.  David was "Dancing naked before the Lord", which itself would apply that he was dancing in some localized PLACE where in fact God WAS.   And Michelle criticized him for this and David vowed in Scarlet Ohere fashion never to have sex with her again.  But later on five sons of Michelle are "Sacrificed and the bodies hung before the Lord".  Also Jeptha's daughter was a human sacrifice.  John Fugelsang says "The Bible contains a lot of truth, but it doesn't contain a lot of facts".   I'm not so sure about that.  It could be all the sheets of paper just got shuffled around and things got reverse in chronology order- - things were left out- - kind of like that Frankenstein song by Edger Winter "This was from a much longer piece that was heavily edited".   And it could be that whole lives were conflated and different parts of people's lives like Saul or David- - might be compilations and conflations of many different lives.  Even when they speak of "God" as that Islam guy points out- - they are at different times referring to entirely different Gods.  

Other commercial flights shot down “accidentally” or whatever- - are as Stephanie points out Flight 800 off Long Island around this date eighteen years ago in 1996.   Tammy Bruce was an enthusiastic proponent of the “missile theory” here of a plane shot down just after sunset.  Then we ourselves shot down an Iranian flight “over Siberia” (?) with a loss of over two hundred lives.  Then the Ukranians themselves admit to shooting one flight during a “training session gone wrong”.  Then there is the Uri Andropov “Flight 007” shooting down a plane in the Sea of Japan in 1983 that they made a movie of.  And we won’t even talk about Flight 93 that I believe was shot down in that field in Pennsylvania.  There is LESS debris from THAT flight than there was from the Malaysian airliner that was shut down yesterday.   It seems that Putin himself now believes it was Russian rebels that did it, but he doesn’t want to quite admit that.  But the Rebels were bragging they just received a new kind of missile launcher a couple of weeks ago,  and apparently some Rebels were “tweeting” and bragging they had shot the thing down.

In terms of that plane shot down, it was by a surface to air missile or SAM, and our government has confirmed that.  It was shot down fifty K from the Russian border.  John Mc Cain seemed to imply it was the Russians who did it.  33,000 feet means it wasn’t done by any amateur.  Somebody on EWN stated “this could be a turning point for the better in relations between the two countries”.   I think he’s dreaming.  Israel launched its ground attack in Gaza and the goal is to “clear out all their underground tunnels”.  They don’t allow civilians to use these tunnels for shelter, they only use them to transport and stash weapons.  They are saying they are literally “forcing” civilians on the tops of roofs- - because when they get killed, they believe it will make better headlines.  It is as Netenyahoo says.  “We use our missiles to protect our people, but Hammas uses people to protect them from our missiles”.   That this is completely below the belt tactics and just plain tacky- - goes without saying.  Around here after getting rid of the pool table this morning they rearranged the benches. 

One reason why President Obama’s ratings are so low is because “Progressives have President Obama figured out now” and have completely lost faith in him.  Thom Hartman is on Free Speech TV now and I posted that blog.  I switched out the photograph to another Firefox photo near the first one I had chosen.  It seems that plane over Ukraine WAS definitely shot down and did not encounter weather.  Two other planes were shot down over Ukraine in the past week, but the other two were cargo planes.  Now you have the loss of many human lives.  The plane was a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, which is not near India as I thought, but is in Malaysia.  Ukraine says it’s definitely some kind of Russians, and the only question is whether they are or domestic rebels or actually Russia.   As to implying Samantha Brady is a lesbian, I say “There is a thin line between love and hate” and Samantha Brady has far too much testosterone, and downright penis envy, not to have major sexual identity issues- - and males aren’t the only ones with a lot of testosterone.   Some woman said that “male apes and humans have a lot of testosterone and are therefore war like”.  But the other factor of excess, out of control religious beliefs, and - - wouldn’t it be funny if it turned out Apes actually had religious beliefs like “Beware of Man; he is the harvenger of Death”.

Norman Goldman was a pretty wasted program.  He was either arguing with some phantom attacking his Jewishness, or else he was running through news story after news story- - as though he had plans to “get to them all today”.  Here’s a tip- - rather than tell us what you’re going to do, just do something now!   I have no idea whether I’ll see today’s episode on the web site.  I turned on Sean Hannity for the first time in ages, and his show was very useful for news updates.  Then it was coffee in the courtyard.  Johnny Winter died today at age seventy and we all know he was “found dead in his hotel room”.  But nobody is saying what he died of or the immediate circumstances surrounding his death.  He was a blues guitar artist who never had a big hit like his brother, Edger Winter- but was close to BB King and Muddy Waters.  In terms of the song “Frankenstein” that came out in 1972 (yes, great stereo) and Edger Winter was the keyboard genious who did that song, but it was the drummer who composed it.  It’s on the album “They only come out at night” but was originally the B side of a Single in 1972. 

 DAYS OF OUR LIVES is no longer a Drama, but more of an "Exhibition" of some sort, kind of like wrestling.  There basically is no actual plot that hangs together any more.  In case you are wondering, the most recent Days of our Lives episode is Wednesday's.   There are so many logistical problems wrong with the plot with Sammy and Kate taking down Stephano’s empire, it would take forever to list it.  We must assume Stephano- - puts his most valued items in a known safe where the combination is Johnny’s birthday, and that there is no other alarm system on it.  By the way- - why hasn’t Samantha thrown that picture of Stephano in the trash- - now that Stephano is not living in the house?  What happened to all of those police spies and informants that keep Stephano aware of everything?  How come E J has not talked to so much at one attorney, or to Stephano, or any of Stephano’s friends inside the police department, or for that manner, ANY friends at all?   He has had no court appearance.  His crime is one that normally, as Abigail points out- - can most often be resolved by just paying a Fine, not prison time.  And how is it that Samantha is not being barraged with questioners from the other board members?  Also the last we heard- - Stephano had an undying hatred of Kate and not only despised her but wouldn’t trust her as far as I could throw a shot-put.   And how is it that Kate seems to have more custody of Alley, rather than her father, Lucas, whom I get the idea, is near powerless?

Court Ruling Overturns California Death Penalty

The California Death Penalty has been declared unconstitutional by some Appelate Court ruling yesterday.  So now you have nine hundred people on Death Row- and only thirteen people have been executed in California since 1978.   And there is one Black father who takes exception to this ruling because his son was killed in savage gang violence.  But he came up with a good idea.   “Just let all those people in death row out on the streets.  Because that way we can take justice into our own hands and kill them, but if they remain locked up we can’t get to them”.  Good point.  The ruling is a little screwy.   First of all they should have “stayed” this order, and not given nine hundred hardened felons a pass.  So even if there is a successful appeal of this ruling, the damage is done.  The reasoning was screwey on this ruling anyhow.  It involved some guy who’s been on Death Row since 1992.  And “Waiting such a long time for the death penalty to be enacted is cruel and unusual punishment”.  And there was other stuff about “The legal system is broke, and enforcement of the Death Penalty is arbitrary”.   Of course contrary to what you would believe, people on Death Row have special privileges other prisoners don’t.

This really is a breaking news item.  A an airliner with 297 people aboard was shot down over Ukrainian space by a Russian plane, or missiles or something.  Chris was wondering whether this is the first shot of WW III.  They say that at 33,000 feet this airliner could not be shot down by a hand held RPG but had to be the Military.   It was a flight from Amsterdam to Malaysia - and is the third aircraft to be shot down over Ukrainian space in the past week.  The other two were cargo planes.  Meanwhile back on the farm - - there is a “Humanitarian cease fire” in the Mideast.  It seems they want a lull in the hail of bullets and rocket fire in order to get food and other medical supplies into Gaza.  Israel says they try and give the population of Gaza fifteen minutes warning before the bombs fall.  But now we hear Hammas is telling the people to ignore these warnings.  What is Hammas anyhow- “Death Incorporated”.   And just how much help is Hammas getting from Iran anyhow, and shouldn’t we think about invalidating the “treaty” with Iran on the Nukes that is completely bogus?   I was saying- - “We should immediately reinstitute the sanctions against Iran and toughen them up”.   Iran is just jerking us around.

They say that beach land in Miami is getting more expensive, but ‘If business took global warming seriously, the opposite would be happening”.  I agree.  This is truly a case of a real estate “bubble’ that’s due to burst any time.  Meanwhile here in California they have this new water conservation law that fines you five hundred dollars, per day, as long as you violate certain conditions.  No watering your lawn between nine and four in mid day.  NO washing your car without a shut-off nozel.  No hosing leaves off concrete.  No over-watering your lawns letting water run down the street.  Calls for water conservation have proved completely useless.  Water use is actually up in California over the past year.  I think this is a crisis we are all closing our eyes to because all our reservuars are running dry quickly.  Personally I see FAR more draconian laws- - such as state wide water rationing, and nobody will like that.  Meanwhile somebody has chopped down thirteen trees at a family park in the Anaheim Hills.  Go figure.

The Republicans yesterday defeated a bill to give the victims of the Hobby Lobby ruling a chance to get birth control- - which now they are deprived of thanks to the Supreme Court.  Of course this bill didn’t stand a chance with Boehner and the House.  If for no other reason, the Boehner House should have not alienated vast numbers of women in this way.  Stephanie asked Chris to take out his organ.  It seems that Pat Robertson says that stomach aches are attacks of Satan.  I know there are pastors who claim to be able to pull mysterious growths from the body and place then on the podium.   Today is Thursday July 17, 2014 and of course that’s the dubious anniversary of both Disneyland and my moving into my apartment in 1988, which people have argued are really the same event.  But Democrats can take heart according to today’s show because the Democrat’s prospects for doing better in the congressional elections (we’ve banned the term Midterm, which sounds too much like a college course)  because women and Latinos are turning Democratic in droves.  North Carolina and Colorado are tilting Democratic.  And there is a renewed hope that Senator Mitch Mc Conell of Kentucky is going down to defeat, seeing how happy Kentuckians are with the Affordable Care Act.   (That would be a Democratic “wet dream” which is a term I hate using.)  “OK, you can go back into your shell now, Mitch.”

  I made my way through the latest “load” of Judy’s E mails yesterday afternoon before three.  We are treated to the news that apparently in three days there is going to be an announcement by a three judge panel that Obama Care for ANY state that did not set up their own exchange, is invalidated.  All of the provisions of the ACA will be invalidated and according to my “source” this is a fact.  Supposedly there are a few lines in the ACA law that says all interaction MUST be through State Exchanges.  Uh huh.  Rush Limbaugh has claimed he has proof now that Global Warming is a complete hoax.  Because NOAH or some weather service formerly said that 2012 was the hottest summer ever, and we know how bad things were in America’s heartland with hundred degree temperatures for two weeks straight and horrible droughts.  But now Rush had learned “NOAH is trying to keep this secret but I have learned that 1936 was an actually hotter summer”.   Furthermore Rush Limbaugh has claimed that “There WERE no weather records prior to 1895” and so he says “Therefore since we have such a thin sampling of time- - there is NO WAY to determine WHAT the global temperature was prior to 1895.  And Rush has stated with his expertise “Measuring things like tree rings and ice drill holes is a bogus methodology” so Rush said it so it must be true.  Furthermore Rush says “The Great Lakes water level is rising and the global warming people said the level should be falling, and therefore Global Warming is a hoax”.   There are other E mails stating the public supports John Boehner’s law suit against President Obama.  And of course there was an E mail that states that our Federal deficets ate 74% of the Gross National Product, which I know to be a lie.  Maybe it is 14%   And this same “survey” states that in twenty years the deficit will be 104% of the gross national product.  I have not seen one admission from any E mailing from Judy that the deficit over the past five years has gone down one bit.  (And that ain’t right)

  But returning to the real world for a minute, Stephanie Miller this morning has statistics that state otherwise- - that the American people consider such a suit a waste of congressional time and resources and taxpayer money.   But when a Republican spends taxpayer’s money- - to fund two Wars or Medicare part D, then it doesn’t count because it’s off the books.   (Which goes a long way tword explaining why the deficit seemed to rise so sharply for Obama)   Something else that skyrocketed for Obama was Senate filibusters.  They were too high under Bush but now they are at least double the Bush rate- - and Mother Jones places the filibuster rate much higher- - when controlled for certain extraneous variables.  Now the Republicans have said "we are going to take thirty hours of debate time on EACH of Obama's subsequent nomination, using that Mitt Romney term of "slow walking".  Of course Michelle Bachman says the communist Chinese have the right idea in giving employees no worker’s rights at all.  And we know how eager Mitt Romney was to buy that sweat shop in China where they lock the women inside “because we have to keep outside people from getting in”.  Yeah, right!  Actually if I were president I’d appoint John Fugelsang as Minister of Propaganda, which is an actual Federation position.  By the way if you want to know about the Bible, don't ask a Jew because Norman Goldman screwed a bunch of things up yesterday when he was speaking on this topic.  Jehovah was not as entirely "lacking in compassion" in the OT as some of these "Testament bifercators would have you to believe, and neither was Jesus hesitent to be judgemental and if he didn't like you, he let you have it with both barrels. If you want to know about the Bible ask a former Protestent Fundamentalist like John Fugelsang or "Muah" (to use the Rush Limbaugh term)

Sgt Bergdoll is grateful to President Obama for saving his life, which in the eyes of the right makes him even more of a traitor.  The idea that Bergdoll is getting back to living a normal life is driving these republicans nuts. Oh, in terms of religion we have PROOF that President Obama is a Muslem agent.  Because a higher percent of Islamists approve of Obama than anyone else at 73%.   56% of Jewish people approve of the President, and 44% of Catholics, and 37% of Protestants.   Mormons by far support the President the least at fourteen percent or something.   But suddenly alliances with Mormons- or Ayan Rand people is just fine now.  If that’s not screwy enough for you, now they claim that since 2001 “All of the growth in jobs has been in the minority sector” in otherwise- - minorities have gotten almost ALL of the new jobs and hence denied White people those jobs.   But if an E mail says it, it must be true.

Actually I would not mind lesbians in my bedroom as long as they aren’t Tammy Bruce or Samantha Brady.  (Both of them are far too trigger happy)  Here is another delightful little story.  Hobby Lobby is opening up their own Bible Museum in Washington DC.   Of course they say that other “Creation Institute” isn’t getting the expected business so they may transfer some exhibits like the one with the stone age cave man riding on a dinosaur.  Of course- - Hobby Lobby has to decide whether they are a business or some kind of a Christian propaganda organization.  Stephanie reminds us that endometriosis is a serious condition for women, and quite painful and six million women suffer from it.  Chris wouldn’t mind an all woman ticket for President and VP but an all woman ticket could never win right now.  Hillary Clinton says she “would like a job where you work out of an office in your homes, and it would be nice if the office didn’t have corners but- - perhaps- - was oval shaped. 63% of people in a new poll believe that John Boehner’s suit is a waste of time and Congress needs to spend its time passing bills that will actually help the lives of citizens.  According to Stephanie and Chris- - one phone call to a politician is counted as one hundred other people thinking the way you do on that issue.

President Obama is in Wall Street's Back Pocket

President Obama wants to break all records for being the most Corporatist President ever.  Of course the Wall Street cronies have had a panacea these past five and a half years since President Obama has been more reluctant than any predecessor to bring about SEC and other prosecutions.  Of course all three Chiefs of staff this president has had, have been in the back pocket of wall street, such as Rom Emanuel and Will Dailey.  Obama appointed Mary Jo White as head of the SEC and she had refused to even investigate or allow the sources of Corporate donors to election campaigns.  Mary Jo White has fought for the right to keep these sources of Corporate donations secret, despite an express clause in Citizens United in 2010 that said that we need full disclosure of donations.  President Obama could fire Mary Jo White, but he won’t, or he could investigate these corporate donors himself but he won’t.  So in actuality the Republicans are constantly being aided in their campaign donations by the Obama Administration who has the power to do something about it any time, but won’t.  Of course with these drug companies, it used to be I wondered why Larry Elder would say ‘Going to Canada to get your drugs is wrong”.  Larry Elder I thought was a free trade libertarian who believed in Adam Smith free market principles.  Now the drug companies are seeking legal sanctions to prevent people from getting the identical drug from other countries.  First they’ll lie and say the foreign stuff isn’t as good, when it’s identical.  But they mark up the product in this country four thousand percent over what it costs to produce these drugs, which is still four times what these drugs costs in other countries.  But I have never heard President Obama address this issue, among so many other issues this President has refused to address. 

Mike Papentonio raised the specter of Blackwater again.  Of course this is a “Security company” that demands autonomy and immunity for its criminal acts, such as the murder of women and children in the streets often running people over with their tanks.  None of their people are subject to any of the rules of the US Armed services, and do things nobody in the Armed Service could ever get away with.  Their ranks are made up of psychopaths of the same mental stature as people like Laura Schleshenger’s son - - psychopathic killers.  No wonder Meliki of Iraq doesn’t want to give these people immunity from prosecution by the sovereign nation of Iraq.  In fact the President might have changed Meliki’s mind has he cracked down on Blackwater, but he refuses to.  The State Department investigated Blackwater and was told by a Blackwater spokesman “You know I could kill you right now if you report this story, and You know I could get away with it.”   Apparently people from Whitewater use a lot more drugs and booze and have these wild dope parties, that are like out of control Fraternity Parties, only these Frat boys are carrying AR 15s. /This is something else the President will never talk about.  In fact the President by way of response decided to renew Blackwater’s contract.  Of course if any thing at all is true in George Washington’s blog about the “false flag” incidents in Ukraine, this is something else that I would personally vote to impeach the President as a war criminal over.  Of course if the Administrated wanted to it could use the Patriot Act to go after these home grown right wing terrorists organizations in this country.  You are much more likely to be murdered by a right wing terrorist organization attack, than from any Islamic American.  The numbers are 343 verses twenty, for the Islamists.  The Administration could use the Patriot act to detain people like Cliven Bundy without charges- - and without right to an attorney- - or any of the fourth amendment niceties.  You could get them and question them and break the whole organization of some of these right wing terrorists cells.  But the President won’t do that.  If you have dark skin and wear a turbin, you’re a terrorist.  But if you stand in front of a Swastica toting an AK 47, you’re just one of your typical red blooded American Patriots.

There seems to be little doubt that you’re safer with a government beaurocrat than you are a corporate beaurocrat, as Thom Hartman dramatically illustrated this morning.  Because a government stooge can either be voted out of office or else threatened with recall, or at least protested in front of.  But if a private corporation doesn’t like protestors on their Private Property they can have them arrested.  Hartman was speaking of his experiences back in Vermont with Vorizon and his cell phone subscription which Hartman was unhappy with and sought to cancel.  But they are trained NOT to agree to any cancelation and will talk a blue streak with a lot of corporate propaganda nonsense on the phone, as you try and make a simple, succinctly stated request.  Hartman has the exchange on tape.  You’ll wait for over an hour and still not accomplish what you want and they almost force you to become a delinquent.  And often even when you have accrewed no services over the past month, you will still be billed.  The whole communacations industry is turning into a Monopoly where they feel free to walk all over the customers and treat them like dirt- - because they Can.   But President Obama could possibly have prevented the Republican takeover of congress in 2010 and here’s how.  George Washington’s blog had a piece several months back that the Feds actually Pay the big banks NOT to lend to customers.   I have said before and will amplify on it now, that if Mitt Romney were president now, the economy would be doing a lot better.  For one the Republican congress would have passed the jobs bills the president wanted.  And Mitt Romney might well have ended this ‘Paying the banks not to lend money” policy.  And I also heard that Mitt Romney intended to betray the tea party by adopting Obama Care and doing nothing to stop its implementation.  We’ll never know.  Clearly single payer was the logical way to go- - but again we’ll never know.

There is much injustice in the enforcement of our laws.  According to a piece on Free Speech TV 81% of the prisoners held on drug charges are non violent offenders.  Just think on how many man hours of effort and resources could be redirected into more productive pursuits of fighting real crimes- - that we’d have, were it not for this national war on drugs.  And the piece pointed out that in Portugal and other nations- - the drug addicts get the rehabilitation they need.  But there are other inequities.  We told you about white verses Islamic terrorists.   It looks like that the Shiites are far more culpable as far as threatening Israel herself are concerned, rather than the Sunnis.  We could look at the way child molesters are dealt with by the Catholic Church as opposed to the usual suspect who gets twenty years and is tagged as a sex offender for life.  It seems to me that- even after they get out there is no chance to redeem themselves or have a life because they have to stay two thousand feet (over a third of a mile) away from either schools or parks where children are likely to play.  So they all congregate together, which is kind of self defeating, as Bill Carol points out.  Finally we have the case of Donald Siegler of Alabama.  He ran for election for governor of Alabama and won by fifteen thousand votes.  But the next morning he awoke (kind of like O Riley in the Dylan song) to find that it had never happened, and that mysteriously sixteen thousand votes had been flipped in a single precinct.  Not only was Siegler out of a job- - but do to the intervention of Karl Rove, Siegler was brought up on charges of appointed this one guy to the head of a hospital commission, which two previous governors had done.  Only now they decided he broke the law.  This all happened ten years ago and the man is still prison.   As Yoco Ono might say “He is one of the political prisoners of the land”.   You know if you read the Bible there is a verse that says “Let justice flow freely throughout the land”.  We don’t have this in America today.  Our criminal justice system is broken.  And once again I haven’t heard of Obama lending his support to a Free Donald Siegler committee.

And now it’s the “thank my dead friends from the Other Side” section I’ll try and be brief about.  Stu Baby contradicted what I said in the last blog about how my ending up in this Board and Care facility was a lucky stroke.  Stu points out that I was much freer before I was here- - and that I was railroaded when there were any number of alternatives.  And I might add my bank account would sure as hell be a lot fatter.   The next is Burt Lombard, which is an alias for the lead guitarist who did five albums with one band, before doing several solo albums on his own.  Burt is a guy who has been inclined to intervene on my behalf, even when Mal Evans wasn’t.  And the third person I’d like to thank - - - is one who formerly thought of as a mystery individual or some might call “The spirit of 1973”.   This artist died tragically in the fall of 1973.   And I know a secret about him you won’t find in the Wikkipedia.  He is a closet Elton John fan, something Mal Evans most certainly is not.  One might tend to most associate him with Ronnie Van Zant, but this artist says “Please don’t compare me to him - - I’m Me”.   I’ll give you more hints to his identity just because I like dishing out these guessing games.   You could say while he was popular that “He was an artist that nobody didn’t like”, kind of like Sara Lee.   He was always well spoken of.  Here is a final clue for this person who is more than a myth.  (Though he has been deep sixed on all the radio stations for over thirty years.  Nobody will play his stuff)  Remember that scene where Ramses II in “The Ten Commandments” (concerning the search for “The Deliverer” where Ramses II presents King Seti with a bottle, and Seti looks at it and says “The bottle is empty” and Ramses II says, “Yes, But the myth is real”.   

Wake Up and Smell the Coffee, Norm!

It was Norman Goldman on at three, and this was one of the least productive hours he has ever done.  Norman is clinging to this myth that conservatives only want to go back to some point in the past.  I was thinking of years and came up with reasons why conservatives wouldn’t touch them with a ten foot poll.   People hear a lot of crap from a lot of places but never put any of it to the test, or as one speaker said "Put flesh and blood on these people and make it a real situation".  For instance if they were to say they wanted to go to an earlier time - - - one would expect they'd have the fondest memories of - like “Morning in America’ where Reagan was running for reelection and Los Angeles was winning in the Olympics, just think.   Conservatives would not like this era one bit.  For one thing they had no infrastructure, no internet, and worst of all no FOX news.  Rush Limbaugh wasn’t even registered to vote and considered himself a comedian in those days.  Bill Handel was hooked on crack cocaine in Miami, and Laura Schleshenger was a slut, before she discovered she was really an Orthodox Jew.  The top tax rate was not the 39% they are complaining about today but fifty percent.  The fairness doctrine was still in force.  And the media was quite anti Republican in those days.   After all they portrayed him as a man who would not even use the word AIDS in a speech, so repelled was he by the topic)  But if you go back to other years, like say - - 1959 during the Eisenhower years, knowing how progressive his policies were - - or go all the way back to 1924 if you want to.  We were isolationist in those days, you know.  War, particularly international war, was viewed as a bad thing.  The idea of staging a War for profit was absolutely unheard of, and would have been regarded as unspeakably immoral.  Even in those days they taught Darwin in the schools.  There’s no getting away from it.  And by the way they also had the Federal Reserve, and the Federal Income Tax, and also Teddy Roosevelt was seen as a hero for trust-busting, and by the way pot was completely legal.   So Norman Goldman completely misses the point. It isn’t the past the Democrats are afraid of, but the Future.  Because these Neo Cons want to take us into a brave new world that has never been- - -  .   In fact if you think of it the Neo Cons would have sided with the British in the dumping of the tea in Boston.  Because they have much more in common with the British- - with some sort of an autocratic leader and the merging of church and state- - and a standing army that feels free in an Imperial sense to have perpetual wars- - using mercenary troops.  That’s what Laura’s son was, a mercenary.  He’s a killer for higher, voluntarily going off to fight in an immoral war.

A lot of my recent blog postings have been on the subject of “the futility of it all” and feeling powerless.  I can’t escape the irony that a political faction that when you come right down to it, serves the interests of only a select few, is running both the politics of the country and the media, too, and all of the debates are framed the way these elite individuals want it to be framed.   If I haven’t said so but at some point Obama’s claimed solidarity with Israel will be put to the test.  “God” (for lack of a better term) has been with the nation of Israel up till now.  Will this continue?    The Jews and Moslems both put so much stock in the notion that “genetics is everything” when the two peoples are so closely related it isn’t funny, and if anything the Arabs have a lot better genetic purity credentials than the people who now call themselves Jews.  Bill is asleep.  Joe keeps saying this place is a hell hole.  And I have been plagued by thoughts lately that “There just has to be more to life than - - This”.  I have not written Dr Levy.   I hope to be more assertive at getting to see Dr Messina this week.

I had Norman Goldman on.  No I didn’t know he recorded the show from Los Angeles,  I thought he was based in Chicago or some place in a remote part of the country.  It seems that 22 Million single women who voted in 2008 didn’t vote in 2010 and even if this subset of voters had turned out to the polls, the outcome may have been very different.  There were callers offering advice on how to best convince women that it was in their vital interest to get out to the polls and vote, even if it’s not convenient, or they’re tired or something from working all day.   You have to throw logic out the window however.  Looking at what in economics call “the fundamentals” they should be excellent for a democratic victory this fall.  Every demographic that is progressive- - is growing in number and every demographic that is republican in nature- - is shrinking.  Age is a big factor and people are dying off all the time.  People are also becoming voting age all the time, too- - bolstering the potential for democratic voters.  The democraphics on immigration and minorities favor the democrats, and the republicans are making no friends right now with Latinos in particular.  The gay thing is even more volatile.  Because unlike 2010 when being pro gay was still a bit taboo, now gayness is openly embraced even by many republicans.  Every hard and inflexible position either on the young, with college loans, or gay marriage, or the host of “war on women” issues, or with this border situation- - these are all walking advertisements for voting democrat.  Normal Goldman said “TV advertisers know that you first have to find a “problem that needs fixing” that the viewer has.  Wither it’s sun tan oil, or itchy feet, or a brighter smile, or that old car doesn’t have the get up and go it used to, and the way to feel younger is to get a faster car.   On all of the big issues where John Boehner refuses to let the House even vote- - the American people fall on the progressive side of that particular issue.  Still those in the know, who conduct survays that “It’s almost hopeless holding on to the Senate, and the Republicans may even pick up House seats”.

So what is it the Republicans have going for them.  Well- -   I have discovered something disburbing.  Going all the way back to the 1972 connection with me, my life has consistently fared better after a republican victory than a democratic victory.  There are only two big flies in the ointment to this theory.  In 1984 Reagan won- - and my life gradually got worse after that.  And in 1976 Carter won - - and my life was in a good roll.  But the closer to the present you come, the more obvious this trend becomes. There was a dramatic improvement in my life starting in the last four or five months of 1994.  After Clinton’s reelection my life began going downhill.  As for 2001 - - this year- the second half anyhow, came out a whole lot better than I had any right to expect.  2005 was one of my happiest years.  2009 was one of the crappiest years in my life.  2011 there was a decided improvement in my life starting with the closing weeks of 2010.   Of course with 2012, to me this election felt like a loss even though Obama won, because the republican power was still entrenched more than ever.   The governors of Florida, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin were still in power.  Even though Christie and Scott Walker are under criminal investigation- - it almost seems as if nothing will come of either investigation despite the mounds of evidence.  It’s almost as though the prosecutors of these two governors don’t WANT to file direct charges.  So now we come to 2014, and you’ll understand why from a strictly personal point of view- - I don’t care.  NOT with this extensive track record which I can’t explain- except that it exists.  I mean after 2008 I was happy the Democrats won - - - - but there was virtually nothing in the next year to justify that “happiness”.  (Selah)

One thing that existed fifty years ago that doesn’t exist now for the most part is clarity of moral focus.  We had people issuing the trumpet call to action such as Lyndon Johnson, Bob Dylan, Martin Luther King, and I believe, Malcolm X, too.  John Pastori gave the keynote speech of the Democratic Convention where he reminded us all of the accomplishments of the past 32 years, and how the Republicans would seek to undo all these hard won victories.  When you think about it, the last President the republicans would regard as a “Good President” would be William Mc Kinley, who stage what we now know to be a phoney war.  The Spanish American war was based on the so called “Attack on the Ss Maine”, which investigation revealed to be just a malfunctioning boiler that exploded.    It’s like Massada in the Ben Hur movie investing those Tiles on the roof and realized that yes they were indeed loose, but he didn’t care.  The strange thing is that Mc Kinley was regarded by people early in the twentieth century as “a relic of the past we never wanted to go back to”.   Normal was right in one thing and that is normally Time progresses forward and not backward.  But of course these are not normal times.  But some in the Faith community would only say “Well it’s in troubled times that we need to turn to faith in Jesus”.  (Or as Jim Morrison once said, "They retreat to the warm, cotton womb of infancy") Dylan’s moral focus has been severely impacted by Jesus.  For instance in 1983 he did one song bashing Labor Unions called “Sundown on the Union” and another called “Sometimes Satan comes as a man of Peace”.  The problem is the other 99% of the time, Satan comes as an out and out war monger.  In fact even Dylan has a glimmer of truth in the song “License to Kill”, which could be about either OJ, or Dick Chaney.  But I remember there was an interview in 1992 on the Howard Stern program where a guest said ‘I don’t know about Dylan- - he’s pretty wasted- - he was really wacking”  (whacked out?)   His mind as well as his voice was gone.  Of course let’s give people like Neil Savedra the benefit of the doubt for a moment and say “Oh, we’re all just in a state of rebellion against the kingdom of God”.  This is from a man who has not one time, ever criticized the Iraq War, but when queries on the topic, only appeared to praise it.   The problem with the whole “God” thing is that as Dr Levy admitted to me- - “There is no way where the validity or lack of it- - with God can EVER be tested”.  That’s quite an admission.  If something can never be Tested- - how we know it’s valid?  Yet they will quote Jehovah himself in some OT passage saying “I won’t submit to your continued testing of me the way you test a bar of gold”.   Jesus put it more succinctly in the new saying “Do not put the Lord your God to the test”.    Of course this would lead to certain consequences.  For instance if I give ascent to this line of reasoning I then have to ask myself “How then can avoid any aituation where God’s word is EVER tested in my life?”  The answer comes “hard upon” the question.  (to get Shakespherian)   That is to never trust him or believe him.  Because the minute I believe or trust in him the more God, by necessity, is being “tested”.  (Selah)   So indeed Satan would be proclaiming the loudest to the doubters out there “Submit to God and trust his appointed spokesmen (such as Neil of KFI) completely”.  But then even if I submit, I then look at others who have committed worse sin (including murder, of which there IS no case in the New Testament) and they seem to be having a much easier time of it, and they tell me “Well, the Lord knows just how much temptation each person can bear”.  But then later on the same people- - I’m thinking particularly of Neil of KFI and Pastor Bill Halliday, will then come back and say to you”Well you know anybody with “God issues’ (or preferably, you come to the conclusion that belief in God is neither rational, nor mentally healthy for you) it’s because they’ve had some traumatic bad experience with religion in the past, and therefore their opinion is invalid”, (or as Neil puts it, "Since it's a known fact that Atheism is not a rational belief, people who ARE Atheists must be somehow mentally - - unsound). Now this, of course makes no sense, but that’s what they say.  So bottom line- - you want to make peace, just like Israel wants to make peace with Hammas, or Jack Junior wants to make peace with Eve Donavin, but the other person makes it impossible.  (There is a scripture that says, “As far as it lies within you, dwell in peace with all men)   But J J’s warning to Eve was poinient, and could be generalized “If I were you I’d dial it way back- - because if you persist with these continued hostile actions- - it’s only going to be a lot tougher on you in the end”.   (Selah)

So - What Happened to the Revolution?

This is Monday July 14, 2014 and Bastille Day.  I have Stephanie Miller on now.  She is discussing this poll that 33% of the people regard Barock Obama as the worst president we’ve had since WW II.   You know there was a saying when Obama was reelected.  “If Romney had been elected we would have had the Revolution right away.  Now with Barock in for another term, there would be delay a while more”.   But when you think about it- - it’s as though we’ve all had surgery on our brains to not even THINK of “taking to the streets” or whatever.  We are all impotent and we know it.  The government has us well trained.  You know- people wonder why apes throw their feces in their cage at people when taunted by people outside the cage, because it certainly “doesn’t evoke any respect for them” by such gross behavior.  Why does Hammas shoot off four hundred rockets at Israel when they know they’re only get it back oh so much worse and painfully than they “gave”.   The answer is obvious.  “It’s the only weapons they have”.   That’s kind of how it works in life.  A fifteen year old teenager is frustrated with what pigs people in government all so “they’ll show them!”.  They’ll go off and form a heavy metal band with their friends and sing about the injustices.  Yeah, that’s really going to fix the problem.  It’s like “Well- - I’m really frustrated with the government.  But I”ll show them!  You know what I’m going to do?  I’m going to read a half a dozen blogs written by people who think exactly like me!”.  We’re all a bunch of “EST-holes”.   In EST they speak of falling into the “Reasonableness equals Rightness trap”.   Look at how Completely desperate President Obama is.   It’s one thing to say with this rush of children at the border “Well I’m just following the law passed by George Bush”.  But it’s actually FAR more pathetic- - and downright comical - - than that.  The President rather than take a moral stand, as I would and say “These children are refugees and need our protection”.  Rather than that the President says “OK- - I’m moving as fast as I can to deport these people.  But maybe if you people would vote more money to handle this crisis and change the law so that I CAN send them back, the problem would be solved”.  But the Republicans go “Hell no- - we’re not going to pass ANY law that will actually HELP you.  What do you think we are – crazy?  Our obstructionist policy has worked so beautifully for five and a half years.  Why the hell should we change now?”   Of course the opening lines of Bastille Day by Rush are “The people have no bread; let them eat cake.  There’s no end to what they’ll take”.  You know it isn’t just “property rights”.  After all the people in Gaza in many cases have lost everything- - their lives- - their homes- - their Mosques.  And it’s really pointless to say to the right wing “You see, you were Wrong- - about a Revolution or collapse of the economy happening.  There IS no replay of France in 1789”.  Do you think the Republicans CARE if they are “Wrong”?  Hell no.  You know Dr Phil used to have a saying “Would you rather be Right or would you rather be Happy”.   I’d say to him, “Dr Phil, if you have a way of making that happen, I guarantee we on the left would appoint you President today”.   Of course Louis XVI couldn’t have been that bad anyhow, because it was Louis XVI that lent this nation money to fight our revolutionary war.  But I also know that economic starvation and destitution does strange things to a man.  It will impel you to support a group like Hammas.   To quote Maurie Head again “We are occupied- - have you forgotten how put down we are?”   You know- - Israel has this magic “Iron Dome” that protects them from all missiles and such.  Gee- - why can’t get Ukraine something like that against Russia.  Am I to understand that even if Iran launched nuclear missiles against Israel- - this Magic Dome would protect them?  “Hummm?”

This morning I got up at the usual time a few minutes before six.  Just after putting on my shirt- - which is a fancy blue one I haven’t worn in months- - the thought hit that “Oh, I lost the shirt I wore last Monday.  Will the same thing happen again this week?”   That’s what loss of property does to you.  It isn’t just the loss of the property that IS lost, but it’s the fear that “nothing in the room is safe”.   It’s kind of like our liberties now in the country.  There isn’t just the loss of the liberties we HAVE suffered that maybe we can “Learn to live with”, but it’s the realization that NO liberties are safe in this political climate.  Yesterday afternoon the first guest on Face the Nation was Netenyahoo of Israel.  And he gives the view that “We in Israel are doing just what you people in the United States would be doing were vast segments of your company subjected to repeated attacks.  Of course one tool of the Enemy is to “sound reasonable”.  When the tea party lists some Articles of Beliefs document, most all of the things on there “sound reasonable”.  That guy in Iran on Meet the Press “Sounded reasonable”.  I mean by his reasoning ‘Iran is about the only democratic country in the Mideast.  All we want is peace”.  But Netenyahoo reminds us that “Other nations have nuclear power, but they don’t have centrifuges and ICBM’s.   Only a nation interested in developing nuclear power has these”.

Some people, maybe most of you reading this may think “Well isn’t good ever rewarded and evil punished”.   Well the thing is – if you’re evil enough - - no.  You’re rewarded for the misery you cause and those you cause to “stumble”.  First of all here is a blog hacker alert.  You will never- - either in these blogs or in snail mail, ever hear Alcyonne referred to as “Pliades Alpha”.   So in this we differ with the astronomers.  (Kind of like Perseus verses Pegasus)  Actually according to the “Cosmos” program (and why was that program on such a short time?) there are generally not seven but six Pliades the average person could see with the naked eye.  But the Greeks said if you could see all seven, you were deemed to have superior eye sight and I good candidate for the military.   However - - if you don’t like playing the Edomite card- - you might want to ally yourself with the Crestorians.  The good news is that there are a lot of Crestorians in France, particularly in the south of France.  But be warned.  There are some common sense things you should observe.  These people don’t like to be “dissed” or disparaged.  Once you’re on their hit list- - you can’t reason or bargain with them, as it’s said you can do with Alcyonne.  They do a number of protective spells or incantations- - many of these were popular in the Middle Ages, and often involve the number “three”.  When we refer to genuine “Wiccans” rather than just “witches” generic, we mean Crestorians.  And when they strike,  their vengeance is out of proportion to the original offense.  And these people are also into “collateral damage”, they regard as inadvertent.   Actually in the cosmos- - the Big Dog and Little Dog are seen differently.  Some regard the Crestorians as the “Big Dog” Sirius 0’s as the “little dog”.  And if you’re wondering - - the Crestorians don’t mind my “apprising” you as such.

This Black woman, who isn’t the snappiest dresser, spoke before congress for a half hour on the subject of marijuana laws in Washington DC.  The DC representative has no vote in congress.  (Selah)  It seems that one house member with a district on “The Maryland east shore”  (?) has the power to veto a “home rule” passed in DC to decriminalize marijuana.  She portrayed his as nothing but a trouble maker.  There are very few laws Congress now has veto power over.  One is the height of buildings in DC, and the other is never to impose a commuter’s tax, which is a nakedly self serving requirement.  It isn’t as if these filthy rich congressmen who live in the suburbs couldn’t afford it.  Blacks are eight or nine times more likely to have criminal charges filed against them for marijuana, which will go on their records and keep them for getting a job.  If you factor this fact with the fact that most likely a Black teenager with a record- - will be looked on more suspiciously than a White person with the same blotch on his record, it could well be that it’s forty times harder for a Black to get a job than a White.  Rush Limbaugh calls young poor Blacks “lazy” but he’s never called rich White kids “lazy”.  I wonder why that is.  Eighteen states have decriminalized marijuana, and over twenty states have provision now for medical marijuana.  Life is a rigged crap game if you’re Black. 

Germany has won the World Cup Soccer Match over Argentina.  I first turned on the TV just before one and it was half time.  I was treated not only to the second half, there there was no score in the entire ninety minute regulation period,  but time was extended and the game concluded past two thirty- - because Argentina failed to answer Germany’s long score.  It was during coffee break that I heard that Dr Levy would not be coming today officially but prior to this in the front room I was told that Dr Levy’s mother had been taken ill and he had to be by her side.  But as I was leaving the dining room Lisha said that he was coming after all tonight.  It was on that basis that I turned off the computer and decided to just chill out.  You just never know.  I watched Face the Nation on computer, and had the entire show cued up but did not watch the entire show because the commercials are every bit as bad (if not worse) as regular television.   Governor Rick Perry was on and these days he is totally in political mode running for President in open competition against Ted Cruise.  He’s making all these far right accusations trying to get the voters to forget about how badly he missed up in the Republican debates of two and a half years ago.  And Perry repeated his demand that the US needs to go back to Iraq and take charge of that situation there, and had a faceoff with Ron Paul lately exchanging hostile remarks back and forth.  Rand Paul does not believe US lives should be risked in any military action.  So Perry represents “The War Party”, which has dominated the media airwaves lately.  I don’t believe either the border issue or Iraq is a winning issue for the Republicans.  This whole border crisis has been hyped to death by the media as it is; it can’t last.

There is apparently a kid’s heavy metal band called “unlocking the truth” or something.   Now some big mural in Los Angeles is forced to come down.  Donald Trump is having money flow problems at Trump Towers and all gambling casinos in Las Vegas and at Atlantic City are having problems keeping business, perhaps due to all the one-line gambling, or maybe people are just waking up, or can’t afford it.  Last night it was the 14% bigger “Super Moon” and this evening it’s the “sunset alley” in Manhattan where the sun shines right down the vast E-W cavernous streets of Manhattan.   There was this family with a nine year old brother and an eleven year old sister- - who tried to climb the tallest mountain in the Alps of just over 16,000 feet, but they didn’t make it and almost lost their lives.  They were going for the guiness record for youngest boy and youngest girl.  Neil Young and Crazy Horse had a concert scheduled in Israel but it has to be canceled due to the hostilities.  “The Dawn of Planet of the Apes” was the number one grossing movie this past weekend.   Chronologically I guess it’s somewhere between movies four and five- - “Conquest - - “ and “Battle For the - - “.   Ceasar is the leader with better intensions than his followers.   In this movie it would seem that the apes still don’t talk too well, but the first thing they’re told to learn is how to use a gun.

One of the secrets to life, so to speak – is thinking outside the box, or at least thinking outside the other person’s box.  Believe you me, in chess, I came up with the “Shock and Awe” strategy long before George Bush came up with it.   If you learn nothing else from Sol Allinsky’s book- - ok two things.  First what you do should not be illegal.  It should be within the law.  This will fluster your opponent.  The other thing is for it to be “within your own sphere of comfort- - and at the same time- - outside your political opponents sphere of comfort.   When you think about it, the Tea Party had this strategy down to a tee.   It was at least 2011 and maybe 2010 that I said “We democrats have to put fear in the Republicans by engaging in strategy they haven’t thought of”.    But now others would say “Big battles are not won in the flesh but only by the power of the Spirit” so let’s talk about the supernatural.    So am I myself qualified to say “I have been to the mountain and I’ve seen what’s on the other side”.    If I am I owe it to those I consider my friends to tell about it.  Obviously if I’m not qualified- I should shut my mouth.   Two of Sylvia Brown’s sayings have come to mind today.  One was her “prediction” that we could continue to get more and unusual reports of weather and other natural happenings such as near miss asteroids and giant earthquakes.   Check.   But the other thing she said was that “the veil between the living and the dead is now getting thinner (like the Ozone layer) and pretty soon it will be commonplace for people to be talking to the dead.  I have discovered three great truths today.  Number one.   The biggest jerk-off caller on a talk show radio program has more courage and sheer guts- - then the most honorable talk show host.   Number two.   The worst song on Let Zeppelin III (you have a nice variety) is Better than the Best song on Led Zeppelin’s “In Through the Out Door”, their last album.  Number three.   You are I or anybody you share this with- - were he to be transported back in time to when Jesus lived- - any One of us would know way more than Jesus knew as he walked the earth.  It’s kind of on the same principle of you have more computational power in your lap top computer than the computers that directed the Apollo XI trip to the moon.   But there is one caviat.   If you are on that hiking expedition and phoning back home on your cell phone, just don’t get too cocky.  There is an old adage of “Let not he who puts on the armor, brag like he who takes it off”.   (Selah)  In other words, don’t get too comfortable hanging out at the bar at the base of the mountain, shooting pool, and being with friends, toking on a number and digging on the sounds of the Juke Box.

Tonny Ramone, the last surviving member of the Ramones died today.  The Ramones formed in 1974 and all “decided to take the last name Ramone”.   The other three members of the band died early in the 2000’s.  Tommy Ramone was 65, which makes him, strangel, older than I am.  Their debut album came out in 1976 and Tommy took the job as dummer at the last minute when they were desperate.  He left the band in 1978 but continued to produce for the band.   Cosmically all four- - are united again now.  Of course they would also be a cosmic first for the “Agagenians”, which is a star in Leo but not a part of the Romulan Empire, though Black Bart was acquainted with the race.   But in other identification - - - as far as the Druanians are concerned you can add two more artists- - - David Peale and the lower East Side, and also Roxy Music and Brian Ferry.  I didn’t know that.   But in our reckoning “Roxy Music’ goes down as pre punk.   Oh yes, that song they're playing now on TV "You Spin Me Right Round" - - that's Rhondonian.

LeBran James is reunited with his “beloved” Cleveland once more and the fans are welcoming him back.  James apparently had ‘6” in the Miami Heat but 23 when he played for Cleveland.   James now says “I always intended to return to northeast Ohio some time, and I never considered going to LA if I did leave Miami.

You can’t win with the tea party, of course.  If you do go somewhere they say it’s a cheap photo op, and if you fail to go there, they say you’re not doing your job.  They want you to “Lead” just as long as you do exactly everything they tell you to do.   How silly it is that after voting to repeal Obama Care 52 times that John Boehner is now filing a law suit because the provisions of the bill aren’t being enforced.   I didn’t even want to wrangle with Paul about what a gigantic farce this Hobby Lobby thing is.   The very idea that the average voter would listen to a news agency that’s right only eighteen percent of the time, if something George Orwell might never have imagined.  It’s an Alice in Wonderland world today.   It seems to me though an increasing retreat into a fantasy world- - as though they would be more successful voting the 52^nd time than voting for it the first time.   You have to wonder just how much longer the voters will put up with this total nonsense.

 I was thinking how for so many groups the quality of the next album after the year 1973 just collapsed.  The biggest example is Chicago where in Chicago VII they introduced this strange new sound kind of like “Mu-sak” they liked so well, that every album they’ve done after that sounds like “Mu-sak” and virtually nothing like their classic brassy sound.   ELP would never do another album to come close in quality to “Brain Salad Surgery” and “First Impressions” was out December 31^st 1973.   Ron Rhodes says there is a major drop in the quality of Elton John albums from “Yellow Brick Road” to Carabu.  There was a dramatic drop off in quality from “Passion Play” to “War Child”.   Procol Herem would never again do an album that came close to their April 1973 album.  There was a major lyrical degredation in John Lennon, for “Walls and Bridges” and the music isn’t as good either.   This list is really impressive like from “Quadrafinia” to “By the Numbers.   It was the last album Alice Cooper would put out with his original band with Mike Bruce.    Some groups like the Almon Brothers just dropped off the RADAR entirely.  Eric Claptin’s “461 Ocean Blvd” was the most wasted album he’d ever put out.   The one artist to delay his quality drop off a few months was “David Bowie” and Diamond Dogs came out in May of 1974- - - and then there was a dramatic drop off in quality for “Young Americans” in 1975.   Of course things weren’t the same after Grandma died Dec 10^th 1973.  That fall of 1973 session at Cypress would be my last session there for a long time- - .    So it’s not that big of a surprise that I picked late November 1973 as the retro “Rapture” date for my first book, “For What it’s Worth” written late 1978.   Five years later that period still stood out.

Chris Matthews is trying to bore us with his “All border refugees all the time” approach.  The thing I saw today were the same videos I saw yesterday.  You can’t pick and choose them like you used to be able to do- - to skip over stuff you might not like, and you can’t advance the video once you’re in it.  The thing just snaps back.   And I never did see that thing where Matthews attacks Hillary Clinton.   OK we get it- - just once John Boehner should step up and face this border crisis like an American, but you know he’s never going to do it.  One excuse I’m getting more than sick of is this notion that “Everybody is afraid of the tea party contingent and being primaried from the right”.  News flash.  Primary season is over- -  and the tea party lost- - so you can’t use that set of excuses any more.   One new poll has congress’ popularity down to seven percent.  That is a dramatic new low.  How can ANY of these people sit there with a straight face and say “Not only are all of these Republican seats safe, but we’re going to elect more”.  What is it they are putting in the Kool-Aid?   The way they describe the US Senate is that there are twelve races where the Democrats are weak, and they’ll all go republican.

 That purple cigarette lighter just jammed, and they are useless after that.   Doesn’t it seem to you that the good things in life are always temporary, but the bad things come to stay?   You’re always getting older.  That isn’t temporary; that’s permanent.  If you were to graph the quality of family relations over the past fifty years I suspect it would be a 45 degree straight line downward from the upper left to the lower right.   I’m still looking for the tax renters rebate restoration.  That isn’t happening.   The staff manages to lose things, but isn’t it funny how they never “find’ them after they “lose” them?   I’m looking for this continuous six year period of what you’d have to call Moral Darkness in the political media- - ever since we first heard and saw Sarah Palin, because that’s when it all started.   People listen to Sarah Palin when she says to impeach the president as though she were some kind of elder statesman.
