ISIS today released a
twenty minute “well produced” video depicting a man in a cage being covered
with an incendiary substance and then set on fire. Of course the guy was in agony as we all
watch him die. ISIS says it was that
Jordanian pilot that the Jordanians were negotiating to get back. Jordan further claims that this heinous killing
was done on January 3rd of this year, some ten days after the
Jordanian plan crash landed in Syria. So the people of ISIS are a bunch of liars in
addition to everything else, so you can bet that would be lady suicide bomber
is not long for this world, because Jordan no longer has an incentive to spare
her. It does make you wonder just how long the President is going to refrain
from using the phrase “Islamic terrorist” in his speeches. It was pointed out by a caller that we give
them Korans and prayer rugs in Guantanamo prison, so clearly they ARE Islamic,
despite what the President claims. I
guess I don’t know where the President’s head is at. In terms of whether or not the majority of
Muslims privately harbor sympathetic feelings about ISIS - - in the end it
doesn’t matter whether they do or they don’t.
Because you’ve got a religion of 1.3 Billion people, and you can’t write
such a vast number of the world’s population off. They outnumber us by quite a lot. I’m plum out of ideas as to how we go about eradicating
the scourge of ISIS. Now there is also
news that Secretary State Hillary Clinton was among those pushing hardest for
arming the “Moslem Brotherhood” rebels in Libya, who of course turned against
us at Bengazi. There were senators in
this country including Democrats, who strongly opposed Hillary’s action at the
time in 2011 and this incident may be used against her in her upcoming campaign
for President.
Yesterday President
Obama submitted his annual budget. They’ve
made much of the point of its being our first four billion dollar budget. I’ve already told you how I think this budget
has completely lost touch with reality. There
is a seven percent increase in this year’s budget over last - with goodies
galore - and to me that seems excessive.
We were doing well with the sequester despite how it may have gored your
favorite ox. The deficit was coming
down, but latest forecasts are that we may have bottomed out on our deficit figure
and that figure once again is going to climb.
Rush Limbaugh is a little out of touch with reality saying that the
democrats are responsible for the financial crash of September of 2008. He claims people such as Janet Reno, Barnie
Frank, Bill Clinton, and even Jimmy Carter of all people, engineered the whole
thing years ago though it occurred nearly eight years into a Republican
administration. Rush then claims “When
the Bush administration learned it was happening they tried to “call them out
on it’ and avert it”. Rush Limbaugh got
this caller who nailed it. It isn’t a
question of democrats getting “free stuff” but rather Republicans being
accountable for what they do. I told you
that the Bush Administration investigated Goldman Sachs two months before the
storm broke, and KNEW the crisis was coming and did NOTHING to avert it. And that’s the truth, so I don’t know what
Rush is talking about. The caller stated
“I lost my money in 2008 but I’ve gotten it all back and then some in the stock
market rise under the Obama Administration.
I can’t think of a worse burn on Rush than a caller to his show saying
this. All that Rush could respond was “The
whole rise in the stock market is a gigantic conspiracy of the Federal Reserve
and the democrats to find a way for liberals to store all their questionable
capital”. Really!
Mike Papentonio and Ring of Fire was on with
this past Sunday’s episode. Du Pont is
in trouble for inventing tefflon fifty years ago, because (only now do - ) they
say it causes cancer with something called C8.
The problem with it is that it flakes off and the pan sticks worse than
ever. Frank Schaffer son of Francis
Schaffer was on to talk about his experiences with Evangelical Christianity and
his former role in propagating it. The
idea was raised that home schooling promotes racism because of their heightened
xenophobia- - or general fear of the outside (real) world. People like Pat Robertson and Jerry Folwell
according to Mike Papentonio to feed into the racist stream of the south and
redirect it into other fears like the gay lifestyle or abortion- - and of
course home schooling. This insures that
the next generation will be just as bigoted as the parents now are. FOX news is in trouble for slandering people
in England and France where their libel and slander laws are not as lienient as
ours are. FOX news is putting forth this
theory of the “No Go Zones” they claim that Muslims have instituted in European
cities such as Birmingham. This is where
if you’re not a Moslem you are not allowed to walk down the street in these
neighborhoods. The charge is untrue. FOX is going to be sued. FOX is lying about something else according to
Norman Goldman and that is this whole raft of children from across the border
carrying their diseases such as measles and infecting this country. They would rather take the focus off
vaccinations, which they are against- - and reignite the fear factor of “the
other” invading our shores when there is “no credible evidence” the outbreak of
measles we have now comes from over the border.
Someone pointed out that Guatamala has tougher health and vaccination
laws than we have in this country. Governor Christie first said that “Parents
have the right to make vaccination decisions on their own” and Rand Paul said
the same thing. But then Christie had to
back-track on his statements when it was learned his own kids were
vaccinated. It all goes to bolster the
theory of political posturing, even though your personal life doesn’t live up
to all of your political hype.
Finally we have some good news. The head of the Federal Communications Commision announced today that he tends to come down on the side of an "Internet Nutrality" policy like liberals and anybody else with any sense has been asking them to rule. More specifically they ruled that the Internet is a "Common Carrier", which means it will be regulated just like a utility like the phone lines. In Europe they don't discriminate between web sites with a lot of money to bribe people, and those who don't have enough wealth to lay down a lot of cash to insure that their packets get through. In other words- - they don't do shake-downs on the street. There were two democrats on the comission who had been pro net nutrality and two Republicans who were against net nutrality. The FCC leader had been in the cable business himself before his current job and people were not at all confident he would rule favoribly, but he did, thank Goodness. I know some Republicans have called a net nutrality a policy of "Obama Care for the Internet", which makes completely no sense. It will insure that there is not a fast lane, a middle land, and a slow lane on the internet in kind of a "pay to play" situation. This is what the Republicans live for, but not this time.
