Leaving Little to the Imagination
Playing the political "What if" game is interesting. Suppose Mitt Romney picks Michelle Bachman to shore up the married women's or "soccer mom" vote? Suppose Newt Gingrich is right about "economic certainty" with a Republican President? Suppose Romney gets elected and the stock market does explode upward, for now, but it's only because there are roomers that Romney intends to get us into a war with Iran or Syria (at the urging of his Vice President) and those arms dealers will do a whipping business? In this same spirit my little story heading up "Wheels" takes VERY little extrapolation because most stuff in it is right out of today's headlines. I got the "weak Vice President" idea from that Al Qaeda memo saying Joe Biden would make a weak and unsatisfactory vice president. I got the whole "leaving a sign behind" thing from this "stalker" thing on Days of our Lives of Gabriel. The whole throat slashing thing may be when Stan Uris in 'IT" was murdered in his own bathtub. The idea of a macho woman President is from any number of TV dramas. Of course I had to slip the whole "gay" thing in there as a minor diversion. Wiping out Portland - - one could picture something like Thom Hartman saying "Gee I was just there for a visit last weekend", the whole "escaping with your life" theme. The whole "Health Care providers hold more monetary power than Doctors" idea comes loosely from something Randy Rhodes said on her show the other day. The bit with bad weather sabotaging a Democratic convention- - is for those who believe the supernatural can jinx things. I was going to throw in something about record snow in Washington DC in January 2014 because of the "Ironic effect of global warming". This strange "mental disengagement thing" that President Obama does- - like this strange calm falls on him under pressure- - - is just something to make the President seem "mysterious" and make the tea party people just might think I agree with them on something, that Obama isn't quite "human" or mortal.
The whole radioactive flowers thing - - this is a Vivitar effect that I can't quite mentally decipher "what is going on" because this photo was taken in the day time (on a cloudy day) yet the sky is black. Hummm?
