Stubbornness To A Fault

These red state republicans are really something else.  Yes they are "hardy" and "tough" and all that enduring their peculiarly treacherous climate of the western plains region.  But now their politicians are saying they don't want to give financial relief to the victims without a "financial offset".  Are they kidding?  What they want is to take the funding out of some place else, like the school lunch program or food stamps or something.  These people still to zealously maintain that Global Warming has NOTHING to do with the increase severity or extremes of weather lately.  If 97% of the Scientists insist with facts and studies and statistics that man made Global Warming is here right now as a reality, these red state politicians will continue to insist that "scientists don't agree" or that "there is absolutely no scientific evidence to justify the theory of global warming".  One caller to a talk show this morning was so defensive that he stated "You know I knew as soon as these tornadoes were passed that someone on the left would trot out global warming as the cause, and what do you know?  Not ten minutes into his show Bill Press raised the issue".   Some people will cite tornatoes as predicted in the Bible as "proof of God's word".  However though there are plagues a plenty in the book of Revelations, I don't recall anywhere there seeing any reference to tornadoes.  They have upgraded this tornado cluster to an F5 or whatever- - with winds up to 210 miles per hour.  The tornado cut a swath of seventeen miles in length.  It's almost fortunate, if you can call it that, that there were only 24 deaths, and nine of those were children.

David Cruise says that poverty is now "moving to the suburbs" to places where you would never expect to even see it before such as Irvine.  Due to urban renual or whatever, often real estate prices in the Big City have risen sharply and that the poor now have more "economic opportunity" in the suburbs.  And now there are more and more applications for Section Eight housing.  David Cruise suggests that in a lot of these communities - the people are not welcome at all, and at times even Law Enforcement was sicked after them.  I must state by way of balance, that I lived under Section Eight for thirteen years and never had one encounter with law enforcement- - except perhaps getting a phone call to donate to the police fund or whatever.  Despite the number of police cars, I always knew they were after somebody else.  And now there is a study done by the University of Virginia which suggests that economic deprivation is actually good for your health.  Because you get more exercise walking the streets to look for a job, or you cut down on your cigarettes and alcohol and don't make those trips to Las Vegas any more that were so destructive to your marriage.  But by way of refuting this Virginia study,  poor people actually (as if by instinct or price) consume more fatty, higher calorie foods, and in fact you can get a half fifty of fortified wine of 18% for just under two dollars, or used to be able to a dozen years ago.  I guess perhaps people get "toughened up" in a recession.  Kind of like an overbearing father who slaps his son around a little more than some would consider advisable.  Clearly the problem isn't "laziness" or "being an inefficient worker".  Indeed worker productivity figures are through the roof.  You know that.  But six years into this recession- - in many sectors, such as my own, it is continuing to get worse, and not better.  If President Obama were up for clection in 2014 rather than 2012,  I'd be a whole lot less inclined to defend him and "apologise" for him.  Because let's face it, enough is enough.  This whole austerity thing is getting more than old.

Ray Manzerek of the Doors died and I thought he heard he was 74.  I guess that would make him the oldest of the group.  Manzerek was called the "founding member" and of course the keyboardist, meaning both the piano and organ parts.  And he does the singing on "Close To You".   This is a song the Federation has banned because of one line in it.  In case you are wondering - - I have not heard from Ray Manzerek in the after life- - or have any idea whether or not he has contacted Jim.   A certain TV drama is being blacked out "indefinitely" because Stewart Sutcliffe finds one particular episode so offensive he calls it "The most blantant case of mind games and brainwashing and with a singular Col Tom Parker sense of "bad taste" in general.  John Lennon concurrs with Stewart's judgements.

In terms of certain "self expression" rights,  Stu Baby believes for instance- - you should be free to put up any religious symbol or even a Swastica if you want, or have a neon sign on your roof saying "Kike Free Zone" or keep your Christmas decorations up year around, or paint your house any color you like, even zig zags or pocadots, if you want.  Stu believes- - the government only has the "interest' of stepping in, for instance if your electrical wiring wasn't safe.  Stu believes the burden is on the State to prove "injury" for instance if a woman wants to dress in Moslem garb for her drivers license photo.  However Stu would say that certain conservative comentators such as Glen Beck or Rush Limbaugh perhaps should be looked into by the government.  Stu says "If you can demonstrate a clear and present danger to the "public peace" than at that point "speech" can be dealt with.  Stu doesn't believe private residences should have the same standards as public accomodations would, for instance, in cases of people in wheel chairs.  Where Stu and I part company is on the idea that "It's in the government's interest to promote good public health".  That one is a little to Nazi for my taste.  Stewart doesn't at all like this new food add they are showing now where the woman claims 'I don't need the government to tell me how to shop".  OK fine, she can die of salmanila or mercury poisoning if she wants to.  I originally thought it was a good ad till I heard Stu's slant on it.  Certainly if they are alluding to the idea of genetically modified food, then we have every right indeed- to be Informed Shoppers.  Stu has no problem with any of these blank smoking prohibitions that localities are instituting.  I do.   And I would conclude this paragraph with the following observation.  Government's job is to reflect the will of "We the People" for and by whom the Constitution was formed.  Government has no interest in catering to the interest of a bunch of spiritually corrupt crooks- - to further their own Power over the Rest of Us.  Indeed Government that is "Destructive of these ends" (meaning to do the will of the people) should indeed be Radically Altered or Abolished, much as Thomas Jefferson said long ago.

A lot of times people will manipulate how we feel about people - in biographies or whatever, by the lead actor they choose to play us.  For instance, if - - I guess one of those fags from "JFK' the rabid one with the red hair and the twangy accent- - if he were picked to play President George Bush- - it would certainly "color" the way in which we viewed the whole Movie.  But sometimes they not only switch off the players but the backdrop, the setting the back-history.  They pull up instant material out of their ass and present it as fact.  For instance it was late April of 1999 that Pete Richards wrote this "exposee" letter about Me - - to Dr. Wong hoping Dr. Wong would never let me know about it.  But Dr. Wong read me the entire letter and the thing is so filled with falsity- - it's about as slanderous as an Albert Goldman novel - -er uh - biography.  And so with Christianity there is this "setting the scene" that is generated.  Marcion, a prominent second century Theologian is put up as this "straw man" even though more books in the New Testament were originally "cannonized" by him than any other theologian.  Arguably he had as much input on the New Testament as, say James Madison had on the US Constitution.  So far there are no tea party crusades against James Madison, though they have as of late been taking pot shots at Thomas Jefferson.  I felt led to bring up Marcion again because of these killer tornadoes in America's Heartland.   Since Marcion uses St. Paul as his "avitar" or some would say "on line handle" we need only to search out St. Paul's writings to glean what Marcion really thought.  For instance St. Paul teaches that Satan is NOT in Hell but is lord of "The powers of the air" and that even "An Angel out of Heaven" may in fact be Demonic.  Even "The heavenlies" are to be suspected.   Original Sin in this scenario dates all the way back to God Himself - - - in trying to "add to his own Perfect Goodness" by attempting to replicate it in Creation - - which act itself is inherently a sin.  In fact Paul seems to be not too hot on "natural laws of science" because he speaks disparagingly of "the elemental principles of the Universe' as being a bad thing.  There is a scripture in the Bible which goes, "Nobody Born of the Holy Spirit - - practices Sin".  There is one line in a letter that goes "Thank God IN all of your afflictions".  It doesn't say to thank God FOR our afflictions- - but continually to keep our eyes on God- - no matter whether we are "abased or we abound".  Give God the glory whichever.  Do not allow your view of God to be impacted by physical circumstances.  I have spoken of this is a "Jeffersonian Wall of Separation" between the physical world and the karmic world.  I owe to Marcion the very concept of this "Wall".  Not that evil was not real (As St. Augustine proposes).  No- - the real world WAS real and IS evil.  In fact "The Lord of this world" is the one who tempted Jesus Christ.  He said to him "All of these Kingdoms are Mine- - and I will hand them over to you if you will get down on your knees and Worship Me".  Jesus wouldn't do it.  In fact we see other Marcionite traits on Paul's writings.  He says "A covenent with the OT Law is a covenent with Death, because the Law only beings Death, but Jesus Christ brings eternal life".  In the spirit of this "wall of separation" he carries Gnosticism further than others.  While other Gnostics will say "Mankind is highly depraved- - but if he digs deep down enough into his soul he will fine that kernel of divine goodness.  He should nurture that kernel and find his way back to a Born Again experiance.  Once you have had that Born Again experiance of "Knowledge which passeth all understanding" nobody need ever threaten your Salvation again.   Paul carries this further saying "Even the Faith to believe is a Free Gift from God".  This means it's a gift with no strings or conditions.  (Few Christians really believe this)  Paul forever refutes the idea that having either personal wealth or health is an indicator of divine favor.  Neither is a physical malody or persecution an indication of divine disfavor.  (Selah)   Christian groups use this sense of "circumstance" or "going with the spiritual flow" as a stick to beat people over the head, and I have myself been beaten with that "stick" many a time.  Marcion - - as Jesus is quoted as saying to Satan - - would suggest that it's Satan and not God who runs the World now- - that "Material World" which George Harrison so longed to get out of - with the Lord Shri Krishna's Grace".  (Selah)   In my book in my zeal to refute all hetrodoxy- - - I deny this doctrine.  But my prophecy book also errs in another area.  In my book I seem to accuse Jimmy Carter of lying to the American People and falsely saying "Trust me" when he couldn't be trusted.  Perhaps more than any other passage, this is a line I'd like to take out.  It is said of Marcion that "His influence extended throughout the whole world".  But Marcion and his two sidekicks - - - Luke and Sylvanious - - - do a little "stage setting".  They protray a Christian Church in Jerusalem conducted from "Solomon's Porch" at the Jewish Temple.  He paints this James guy who runs this central Christian establishment in Jerusalem.  He sets up a straw man only to then knock him down.   This introduction of the James character invites countless questions.  "Is he Jesus' brother, or merely half brother, or is the term "brother' merely figuritive?  When did he get "conversion" and what was the nature of his personal Encounter with the Risen Lord.  At what point did this James gain primacy over all twelve of the Apostles whom Jesus Personally Appointed? Stewart says, "You know those crooked priests and money changers went Somewhere after the fall of the Temple.  They didn't just disappear, but chose other means of "peddeling their wares" so to speak.  Power over God Himself, if possible, was their Goal.

I forgot to include this paragraph two postings back.  Rather than go back and slip it in there where nobody will read it, I'm placing it here.   This is Sunday May 19, 2013 seven minutes to noon, so what is KLOS doing having commercials now with that little music to go?  You know Neil was promoting the Jesus Christ show and said he was going to use that example of the celebrity who had a double mastectomy to illustrate some religious truth.   The reasons why having preemptive breast removal surgery is an absolutely stupid idea are manifold.  First let’s take the cost.  The last time I checked surgeons didn’t work for free.  There is all the discomfort and pain and time lost from work, which again your average Joe struggling to hang on to his job doesn’t have.  But then there is the reconstructive surgery.  You know you can get cancer and things from that, too.  But it kind of reminds me of John Lennon after he officially left the Beatles.  It’s like every trace of Beatles was purged from his mind like a memory wipe.  KLOS was doing alternate mixes of songs – and they played “Albitros’ by Fleetwood Mac, which apparently was an album John Lennon was really into in 1968.  This invites the question of “If he liked that style of music so much, how come he did absolutely nothing in that style any time in his solo carrier?”  Now they are playing something called “Soily”, which is a KLOS exclusive.  I’ll listen.   We had spaghetti for lunch and Loretta asked me if it was good before she got hers and I said it was.  We had butter garlic bread and a green salad with vinegar and oil dressing.  They played “Slow Down” under “name that Beatle song.  My guess was Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, because I thought the drumming gave it away.  I detected a strong trait of Detroit Romulan in the guitars.
