President Trump Withdraws All Troops from Syria

This is after breakfast and here we are in flagstone.  Tomorrow is the first day of winter and the shortest day of the year.  Today is Thursday December 20, 2018 and we are approaching a full moon.  Things are more positive than they have been.  Let’s hope 2018 is a year that shuffles off quietly because it’s been a long year and not a good year.   Stephanie had on all of these government officials and military leaders saying what a major mistake it is for President Trump to be pulling those two thousand troops out of Syria.  They are like an insurance policy against ISIS returning.  Even though they own no square footage now, there is still the risk that some infra-structure of ISIS may still be in place.  We need to continue to gather intelligence to insure that ISIS, like a bad disease, doesn’t come back.  None of the nations around ISIS were friendly toward them.  These include Turkey, the Kurds, Syria, Iran, and Iraq.  Now President Trump is talking about a sixth branch of the military talking about a new Space Force that will patrol outer space and insure that those pesky space aliens don’t attack us.  Last night they delayed that rocket launch from Vandenburg AFB shortly after five thirty.  I looked to the northwest last night and didn’t see any lit vapor trails that I expected to see.  For the fourth time the launch was delayed and is scheduled to occur at 5:31 today.  They like doing these launches about an hour after sunset.   We need people like Stephanie Miller around to throw in a little vanishing humor and lightness into the grim national scene.  Of course the weather is bad.  Now there is some super storm merging together from Texas to the east coast where they will be getting buckets of rain for the peak Christmas traveling season.  People have been asking me if they have Newyears Eve parties around here and I said “No, they don’t”.  Of course you are free to walk outside and listen to all of the fireworks and gun shots going off at midnight.  I guess I told you that that solid black cat got shot a few days ago.   I told you that Tux (our mascot cat around here) made an appearance the other day so he wasn’t the shooting victim.  Now there are packs of dogs attacking kids and stuff and they have been slated for destruction.

Many people reading that blog post in “Wheels of Retrobution” may think that I have “sold out” religiously and am now claiming an “experience with God” or something.  This isn’t really the case the way people usual mean it.  Read the posting yourself.  Others of a more fundamentalist bent might say “your faith process was short-circuited, as you even admit on one place, and actually you have had an encounter with Satan and are under his control now”.  This isn’t exactly the case either.   I guess all I was saying is that people should be “at peace” or whatever with their own destinies, whatever that happens to be for you, because there is no point in fighting it anyhow.  As for my “Judas died on the cross” theory this is not a new one, and the rumor has been around Egypt for decades, but the teaching has stayed underground.

Last night was ordinary.  It was the ABC network news and then Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.  I got my medication from Jan without a problem.  Last night it was “Dateline” and the eight o clock episode showed that a wife can do a mafia hit job on her estranged husband and only get eight years for it.  But then she’ll be back on the streets and out to make another hit. I was drowsy at the nine o clock episode and went to bed sometime during that hour.  With the increased Resperidol I’ve been sleeping better.  I did wake up after four and went back to sleep and woke at 5:22 by the digital clock and got up.  Bill was in the bathroom.  I just got dressed and went out to smoke and then came in and made myself instant coffee.  I didn’t turn on the computer till six and had Stephanie on.  I got my medication around six.

Paul says my mouse might not act up if I cleaned up.  It's the clicker that's the problem rather than the tracking.  I need to get another mouse in here so I can function.

.   I had on Rhapsody in Black.  Once again it was fund raising with “Maggie” on the phone.  Gardner said we were lucky because usually his show is preempted the second week in the month but we were so good last week with our pledges.   It was all Bill Gardner’s favorites just like the previous week.  There were some good songs such as “Have Mercy, Mercy Baby” by Clyde Mc Phatter again, and “Roll With Me, Henry” and “Little Bitty Pretty One” by Thurston Harris.  There was an earlier version of “I’m Leaving it all up to You”.   They played “Rip It Up” by Little Richard, and “Every Beat of my Heart” a 1961 song by Gladys Night.   Also during the day I called Judy and I was trying to get her to explain why I was excluded from this year’s Christmas gathering at their place.  I got no satisfactory answer at all.  All I know is that Wendy will be there.  I apologized for volunteering information that I shouldn’t have.  It turns out Paul was only "guessing" anyhow so it didn't matter what I did or didn't say.   Maybe it's my cough that scared off Judy.

.  I had Leo Le Port on and caught Chris Marquardt.  He was talking about three big software inovations in cameras they didn’t have ten years ago when I got my camera (9 years).  The first is automatic “fuzz focus” of narrow depth of field for people who want that.  Also today’s cameras take multiple exposures for capturing extreme brightness and extreme shadow in the same photograph and have it turn out good.  Also today’s cameras have good scenes taken with very poor lighting without jarring the camera.  They take shots before and after the actual “click” so that you aren’t jarring the camera.  I kept looking for the Rams and didn’t see them.  The Bears defeated Green Bay in a bonus game and so the Chicago Bears have officially won the NFC North division.  In the afternoon game on CBS it was the Pittsburgh Steelers beating the NE Patriots in Pittsburgh.

President Trump seems to be in a compromising mood for Christmas.  He has decided to sign that prisoner’s rights bill where many long term non violent offenders get a “get out of jail carrencd” early, because their punishments were so harsh under federal law.  President Trump has made the ultimate compromise by going against the bump stock gun lobby like the NRA.  Trump has decided to ban bump stocks as of the end of March and the people who own them have the option of either turning them in or destroying them.  These are the devices that turn semi-automatics into full automatic machine guns like the Las Vegas gun sniper used.  Then Trump wants to pull our two thousand troops out of Syria.  This is an area where he falls to the left of me because I think that’s a bad idea.  In small part it’s because we need to make sure ISIS is a thing of the past but more importantly,  I think it’s vital to keep troops in Syria because of the Russian menace and they’re likely to bomb more hospitals killing the most vulnerable of Syrian citizens.  I don’t see who can be against protecting these people.  But now Trump wants to compromise in the area of building the border wall.  Even Mitch Mc Connell, Mr. Political hard-ass himself, wants to compromise on a figure of 1.5 billion rather than the five billion President Trump is asking for.  FOX news and Rush Limbaugh have criticized this concession.

Five people know that Abigail is not really insane on Days of our Lives.  This "secret" of her secret Sanity will become a harder and harder secret to keep.  The next thing is whether my "Judas theory" is sane or insane.  The more people who hear about my "Judas on the cross" theory may conclude that mine is actually the Sane approach.
